New York Palace Hotel Review

We stayed at for our anniversary, and everything was spectacular. The room was ready when we arrived and everyone was very attentive to our needs. We LOVED the room, we had the corner end with the cathedral view. Meticulously clean. The hotel is so close to everything. We went to the MET, and guest experience staff had champagne and chocolate covered strawberries for us when we returned!! Extraordinary.

The hotel staff, especially Neurddeen, the concierge, was so very helpful in trying to get us reservations to the best restaurants on last minute notice. He called, text us and we enjoyed some lovely places. He was so kind and polite.

We loved staying here. Close to Rockefeller Plaza, Times Square, Broadway plays, and shopping. Will come back!

We are in a lovely junior suite looking over St Patrick's Cathedral ...what could be better? Really comfy bed, the bath towels are luscious , the toiletries are Molten Brown ...I could go on and on. Stay here you won't be disappointed.. Oh and the location is so close to everything, one block from 5th ave. and Rockefeller Center.

5-star hotel. But, I was expecting more. Like maybe a microwave, fridge on the room. And a little more space. Nice view overlooking St. Patrick's Cathedral. Great location.

Beautifull hotel, but I wouldn't put in the 5 star category, missing a lot of minor detail like a coffee machine or espresso in room etc.

I was checking in into the tower, it have it's own check in desk, but only 1 person working the desk checking in, so had to wait about 20 minutes to even be looked on, not impressed, will stick to the big brands next time.

First time staying here and hope it won't be my last. Beautiful hotel, very accommodating staff, clean, great location. Bathroom was small and not well kept and walking distance to top shopping and NBC studios.

Room was nice and clean. Picture is from the Cathedral view room overlooking Madison. Room service was good but by far the most pricey I've ever stayed at. Apathetic front desk staff. I would say a good place to stay if ALL you need is a clean air conditioned room in a central area. Oh, and they charged me for a bag of peanuts from the fridge I didn't even have.

Hotel is quite good. Charge for internet & WIFI is totally out of sense.

Nice place but very disappointing they still charge for WiFi. Given the high room rates and their desire to be a 5 star hotel, they should remove the bush league fees for things like the internet.

Lovely place. Had a nice time. Only complaint was the location. (I like Downtown more.)

Location was central to all the shopping in manhattan, central park is a few blocks away.

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST!!! Spend the extra money if you can afford and reserve the Towers.... One of a BEST VIEWS in NYC!!! The St. Patrick's Cathedral view is AMAZING!!! One word for customer service is WOW!!!! WHITE GLOVE SERVICE from the time you check in to the time you check out! A tremendous THANK YOU to Kathia front desk manager & Susan at Tower check in... we enjoyed the special treats found in our room !!! It is "Special Personal Service" that makes it WONDERFUL to reserve at one of NYC Premier shopping locations off 5th Ave.. Nearby Rockefeller Center and Fine Restaurant's!!

It s a very nice looking and grand hotel. Rooms are big and comfortable generally a nice place to stay. What is disappointing in this hotel is no tea/coffee facilities in the room. You don t always want to have room service for a quick cup and NO WiFi in the rooms unless you pay extra, that is very odd

When we arrived the staff was very nice. There was a couple of issues with the first two rooms they put us in, but after telling the front desk they moved us to a much better room. Staff is great (except for the bellman who said that our stuff was too much for him to want to move again, of course after I gave him a tip; also I could not believe he said this in front of me and guest services). At first I wanted to give a three star but because the hotel accommodated us for the issues we dealt with. So if you do have a problem just tell guest services and they will make it right for you. I will give them 4 stars but, if I could I would give them 4.5.

This is a nice hotel, though the layout of the meeting rooms is a little confusing. The place is very elegant, though.

Beautiful hotel. But there is a always a line and a wait for the elevators on the luxury tower. Protip, ask to use the service elevator.

Horrible experience. The Palace has gone way down hill.Very unfriendly and unaccomodating staff. Room was dirty. My reservation included a complimentary breakfast and management would not allow me to use it. Makes no sense but the good news is there are plenty of other hotels in NYC that would appreciate my business.
I won't be back.

The Palace was one of the best places to visit. The hotel staff were pleasingly professional. The outdoor lounging area was very comfortable and cozy. The entire stay was enjoyable. I will definitely be returning.

I love the rooms are great the hotel spectacular, the only problem is that the entrance to the hotel is full of tourists and mind taking pictures at the hotel not being guests

Very nice upmarket hotel, however nothing is free such as a kettle and tea which was around $16 for my room. But service and staff was excellent.

This hotel gives new meaning to the word hospitality, the rooms are beautiful and the service from staff is exceptional.Highly recommend this hotel.

Attended an event on the second floor of this venue. The space was festive for the holidays and the staff was very friendly. I certainly would come back again!

I stayed here many years ago when visiting NYC and had a wonderful experience. I previously went back to this hotel as it is within walking distance to the Radio Music City Hall and a great place to get drinks before the show.

Very grand hotel and clean. Should be more informative though.. I am on a 14,nites stay in this hotel to celebrate my 23rd wedding anniversary and i pre informed them ulon arrival and on arrival but nothing was done to uplift the mood. Utterly disappointing

Beautiful and comfortable hotel, I would be settled here

We stayed here in May 2013. They were undergoing a major renovation at the time which meant you lost the feel of this wonderful establishment upon entry. The glamorous entrance has been replaced by scaffolding externally and hardboard internally. The room was brilliant with a great view over the skyscrapers and the staff were as friendly and upbeat. The location is really great for a base point to go either north or south of the city.

We came to the city to celebrate our youngest son turning 6. We chose this hotel for the location and it s amenities. From the time of check in they went above and beyond expectations. The property and rooms are very well kept as would be expected of a hotel in this class. A birthday cake was sent to the room as a surprise by Daniel, the kids were also treated to Easter treats. During happy hour Danielle found the boys surprise candy to their delight. Start to finish this is a wonderful family friendly hotel.

This is a beautiful hotel with exceptional service! It was our 1st time to New York and the concierge helped direct me around the city with ease! We had an incredible view of St Patrick's Cathedral and enjoyed watching the city that never sleeps from our window!

Gorgeous ! It is truly a lovely place to stay. Not for the faint of wallet. Tipping is frequent. The breakfast we had there was De-licious,the French toast was like a sweet cloud..yum

This place was amazing. The staff all seemed to go out of their way to serve. Even the staff that cleaned the room said hello when I walked by. The location is fantastic to get to places. It may not be the cheapest but you don't go here to save money. This picture attached is a view of St Patrick's cathedral from a room here. They will do you right!

In 2006 we went to New York, we contracted with EL corte ingles flight and hotel
flying with Air France and staying at the NEW YORK PALCE.

The flight with paris and the estaqncia was unforgettable.

I give a 10 to this trip and to the hotel

Great location, ok standard. But expensive wifi. We also booked for 3 people, however the room only had 1 bed. We had to pay extra to get 2 beds.

Run! Hotel is super old and super small. Booked a room for 2 double beds and it supposedly accommodates 3 people. The beds are twin size beds and the room is so small. Checked out of the four seasons and came and checked into this hotel worst idea ever. Four Season service and hotel was so much better. Run! Talked to the manager but all he could do was provide smart remarks on how I chose the room. I chose the room based on what will accommodate 3 people. When we walked into the room we walked into an inn. The other reviews can t possibly be true. This is no way a 5 star hotel. Only stars are the ones outside on the Christmas tree. This will be our first and last time staying at this hotel. I m guessing I wasn t the right color as I was provided with smart remarks and easily dismissed by the staff and manager that was here.

What a gem of a hotel in NYC. I would stay here again and again!

This hotel is under new management over the last 5 or 10 years. The new people are wonderful - attentive and there to please. We stayed for a granddaughter's birthday and they brought her a goodie bag after ee checked in, plus when we got back from dinner there was chocolate cake waiting in the room. Yum!

Overall cleanliness in the room. location. Very good price!! It's good. ^^

THE ACCOUNTING STAFF AT THIS HOTEL IS SUPERB FOR BUSINESS GUESTS WHO REQUIRE SPECIAL ATTENTION.

Didn't stay there but did go to the bar. Staff are nice. Drinks are a little pricey but that's expected. Beautiful hotel
