Grounds are cool. Tasting room is terrible. Not sure if it just opened but there's not even 1 table to sit at. 2 women pouring beer were extremely unfriendly, short with their responses and not interested at all in talking about or explaining the beer. Even compared one to Bud lite. They're just interested in getting you away from the bar as quick as possible. There were 10 other people here when I was here so it was not busy. If you don't care about feeling welcomed when you walk in to a brewery, the beer is at least pretty good.

I WAS DENIED DONATION TO GO TO THE NINA FOUNDADTION ( neighbors in need of assistance) Who on the minimum hands out $25,000 a year to people such as neighbors that live next to you.... Then The moment the beer company refuses to be apart of ANY fundraisers that have nothing to do with single woman with sick family or kids..... And must be with in or under 20 minuets of the company!!!! New glarus brewery is not a friendly as they once were. Sad what money does to people YOU GREW UP WITH
Ps I have the email of them stating thet above

This company is far from wanting to help anyone except woman or single woman with kids... Talk about sexist!!

I have yet to go to a brewery that is like this one. The location on top of a hill in the countryside provides a wonderful view. The brewery is set up for a self guided walking tour with large windows into the brewing operation. You get to see the brewing tanks, pipelines, and canning system. The outside provides a large area to sit and drink their beer. It is decorated with replicated old church ruins that you can explore. While we didn't enjoy their beer (we thought it was flavorless), we did enjoy the atmosphere.

Everything about New Glarus is excellent. Consistently solid beers in many different styles, beautiful grounds and facilities, and it s nestled in a quaint little town you can explore after a day at the brewery. The tasting room is large, and is right next to a large patio that is ideal as a summer hang out. Pricing is very reasonable considering you get to keep the glassware. Make sure to take a self guided tour, the brewing facility is immaculate and very impressive. Unfortunately the more detailed hard hat tours have to be booked at least a year in advance. Lastly, make sure you stop in the beer depot, it s the best spot to pick up everything year round and especially seasonal options. You won t be disappointed! The only thing that may, is you can only get there beers in Wisconsin.

This place is a class act and love, love, love the stainless steel and copper!! Great gift shop and all the people we met were extremely friendly and helpful.

The Fat Squirrel Nut Brown Ale was very good; well bodied and flavorful, but not heavy.

Way to go, New Glarus Brewing!

The place is pretty awesome, and enormous. Nothing negative to say aside from the fact that they only pour 12oz beers instead of full pints, so that is lame. They created like an old ruins of a church or something for you to drink around the whole place is pretty great and scenic. Unsure why the picnic tables are so ugly and out of place with the whole rustic feel they tried to make.

Good beer. Lovely beer garden. Odd service.

Good beer. Lovely beer garden. Odd service.

Good beer - Some good some great. Fruit beers seem to be the specialty of this brewery.

Beer Garden - Crafted from limestone and located at the top of a ridge. The views are beautiful everywhere you look.

Odd service - The best description would be that of a beer festival instead of a tap room. Do they have a tap room? Don't know, it was very busy and hard to find someone who was free to ask for directions.

World-class tasting beer served here. I'm not too much into the decor of the brewery itself as it is a little to gaudy, however, the beer is what matters most and New Glarus has definitely mastered their craft. I just with they sold their beer outside of Wisconsin. Very fine establishment!

We finally made the voyage to New Glarus Brewery this summer and we were not disappointed. The tour is self guided so you can take your time walking through the brewery. They also have a gift shop there so you can get all of your New Glarus and beer specific swag to take home. The crown jewel of the brewery is the beer garden. It is in a massive courtyard on the hillside overlooking the hills and fiels south of the city of New Glarus. There are trails to walk on and lots of old Bavarian castle ruins to look at on the trails and around the seating areas. Also with the beer samples, they also have a few food options as well to wash the beer down with. If you are a fan of New Glarus beer, this place is a must see for you.

Best beer I've had in ages! A tiny part of me is sad that they do not distribute outside of WI, but mostly I am glad. Smaller brewers always have the best beer. Also, it gives me an excuse to make trips to WI, which is beautiful.

Great place to spend a couple hours or the day. Hiking, drinking beer and having fun with friends... I didn't notice food but there probably was some available... differently worth the drive from wherever to check this place out. Enjoy i sure did.

One of the best breweries my wife and I have been to! New Glarus keeps to the overall aesthetic of its own homogenous Swiss/Bavarian town and the beer....man the beer! Belgian Red Ales with cherries, a not so tart Raspberry Tart, a Coffee Stout that has a smooth back end and the heavily drinkable Spotted Cow. You can taste why people wish that these beers were sold outside of Wisconsin.

Great products. The self guided tour was fun. An actual guided tour would be great just to get more information. Tasting a few different beers in the courtyard with the scenic overview was fun as well.

Our stop was brief, but I think this is one one of the quintessential breweries across the country that people should visit. Reminded me a bit of the August Schell Brewery in Minnesota. Brewery property and design is stunning. Would have liked to have gone here on a warmer day to sit outside on the big patio. Still though, was really impressed. Have a couple of beers and take the self guided tour. At the beer depot you can purchase beers that are not in stores, and some of the fruit beers that are normally sold in 750s come in 12oz bottles. Also just a wider selection and a fresher product.

The Brewing Company sits on a very beautiful slice of property! I've had no interest in taking the tour and the beer is pretty damn pricey. It's a kool experience the first time, but after awhile you're looking for whats different. The Brewing Company has become very commercial and it's ran like any other tourist trap. The beer is the same beer as what you find at the store, but you're paying them more money, for the privilege of drinking it on the property.

Wonderful place to visit. I'm usually not the brewery type, but they've put this place together very nicely for visitors. For $8.50, you can sample any of their selections. If you visit, try their 25th anniversary selection. You will not be disappointed!

Really more of a tourist trap vibe than a brewery. Mostly it's just an expansive overpriced gift shop with a few small, pricey beer tastings. No place to sit indoors. Mostly just the same beers you can get anywhere in Wisconsin: good, but not worth the extra drive

A very unique brewery experience. The grounds are amazing and the facility is interesting. Being from out of state, I was surprised to see how much beer was being produced and the scale of their production process. We enjoyed the outdoor tasting area. From a tourist perspective it is a great deal. For $8.50 you get a full pint, nice pilsner souvenir glass, and a token for a free pour at any New Glarus restaurant (go to Sugar River Pizza!). The beers are fantastic: clean, crisp, and true to style. You won't find chocolate gingerbread stouts or hazy strawberry- kiwi IPAs, but you will find traditional ales and lagers that are incredibly nuanced and delicious.

Go for a tasting, stay for the view. The tasting patio has a beautiful view of the countryside and is a fantastic place to enjoy a great beer tasting. Personally, I think their go to "Spotted Cow" is a little overrated, but all of the others are great. The self guided tour of the facility is alright, but not a must.

You could spend a good amount of time here. There s an interesting large courtyard with plenty of seating to relax and have some a Spotted Cow or another of their delicious beers. Highly recommend a visit!

An awesome place off the beaten path in beautiful New Glarus Wisconsin, a really cool little Swiss town. NGBC has an awesome beer garden in the summer months and an option for a self guided tour of the brewing facility. Parking can be tough, so keep that in mind.

Fun stop while in New Glarus. My boyfriend and I did the 3-beer tasting option. Outdoor patio was hilly, rocky, and gave total chill vibes. It was nice to see over the hills of corn fields, walking up and down the hill (large cobble stepping stones so I wouldn t recommend small heels), and the staff overall were nice. I liked how they had a warehouse of beer packs you can buy separately form the tour.

i loved visiting this brewery. both inside and outside are charmingly beautiful. if you re ever in wisconsin, you must see this place. the brand is owned by two women, which is also the name of one of their beers. take photos with the two women photo board outdoors. explore the beer making process from past to present. visit the town, which houses some historic houses and shops despite being a bit cliche.

This place is amazing, the brewery itself is gorgeous and the outside area they have for you to sit is one of the best I ve seen at any brewery, you overlook all of New Glarus Their beers have to be one of my favorite, the raspberry tart is so good! I wish I could get this stuff where we are at, but it s definitely worth the drive over the border for

we took the hard hat tour and it was so awesome! Tour guide was super knowledgable and passionate about his job and the company. The new expansion is absolutely impressive and amazing. If you love beer, this tour is a must!!

Beer Depot has beers not out in stores- like the R&D. Beautiful grounds, however hot, not a lot of shade. Brew tour self guided and pretty cool. Not a typical hang out brewery, more of tourist destination.. well worth the trip.

If you are clear about what this is, then it is five stars for sure. The beer is not cheaper here, nor is there a huge selection in the gift shop. There are six beers, for $8.50 per pint for standard or $9.50 for fruit beers. You get to keep the glass. It's nice, but not cheap. What's great is the beautiful grounds, the self-guided tour (literally walking through the active brewery operations), and the inexpensive souvenirs. It's totally worth it, but if you want cheap New Glarus or the special small batch brews, then find a good store for it elsewhere.

Easily a five star brewery! They have a museum opening soon. The only thing holding this brewery back from one of the greatest in the nation.... is their self guided tour. Still cool but would pay (and tip) for a tour guide.
