The worst experience ever!!! My twins that were placed there were sick all the time. In 3 months they passed ear infection, flu infection, eye infection, they had fewer every second week. My kids were rejecting milk all 3 months while they were there, they stayed in winter clothes all day. Stuff pinch fingers to my older son when he tried to get inside and than nobody show up when he came back crying holding his hand with visible bruises. They feed just 2 kids at the time for 45 minutes, while other kids are collecting food fro floor, and then other two and so on, instead to feed all kids at the same time. I just can say: Poor are parents who bring their babies over there, as they really depend on very selfish and self oriented staff.

This homecare is really and truly a clean and safe environment for the elderly.well kept it satifies the need of human beings towards their old age.

Waiting for a tour. Nothing can be as bad as where I currently am at Hawthorne Place. We don't feel safe, staff are good but upper mgmt don't care about anything other than money. They hold your money hostage when you happen to inherit a few bucks from your recently deceased parents. A resident here is going through all of the above now and residents are hoping for better safety somewhere else. The unfortunate resident I'm talking about lost her mpm last year and has no family support at all.

This facility took my grandmother in fully aware of her medical condition. They have failed repeatedly to provide the care that is required to keep her alive. My grandmother has had multiple health scares while in their "care". My family has to go there everyday to make sure she is okay and has everything she needs. We have been told that they " just don't have enough staff to do any better". No one wants to be accountable there. Has taken several phone calls and meetings up the chain of command to TRY and get her basic needs for life met! My heart breaks for those residents that don't have the same family support as my grandmother to advocate for them.

My aunt was a resident here for a few years and loved it. Now my mother-in-law resides here. The rebuild is magnificent! Place is always spotless and very well maintained. Staff are extremely friendly, courteous and helpful. Lots of social activities for the residents too, my m-i-l has gone on several outings and loves it!
I highly recommend this residence!

Keep your loved ones away from this place. Beautiful building and just a great facility. That's where it ends. Everyone here smiles and is nice too you. The problem is they don't take proper care of your loved ones. You need to be there everyday to make sure things are being done, you need baby sit the staff. The care givers are all fake with there smiles on there faces. I would give them a zero rating if I could. This place needs to make changes to improve. The irony is that to get in here the waiting list is crazy long. Don't get fooled, its not because they are good, its because we have no real options in Ontario.
