There's a nice view on the water and of the Iron workers bridge. It would be nice if they planted some flowers here but it's not bad. There's an enclosed dog park outdoor pool, and if you're lucky you'll see some large crabs down in the water.

Wonderful Park. Perfect for family gatherings and BBQs. Great for walking dogs, flying kites, or running. There is a nice pool to cool off in the summer heat as well!!. Parking can be difficult with two small lots and street parking fills up very quickly. I would recommend arriving no later than 10:00 a.m on weekends and sunny days.

On leash and off leach fields for dogs/playing, picnic tables, swing sets, two play grounds, paths for walking, beaches, a dock, and an outdoor pool open in the summer time. There's trees and picnic tables so it's a comfy little place. Best part - there's info posted here and there for the shoreline habitat restoration project for this area. City planners, I think coastguard, and the indigenous communities which this land was taken from all work together to do the right thing. Super fun place and looks well-taken care of :)

My new favourite park to bring my dog and it's here favourite too. It's hard to find enclosed grass parks in the city and I can tell how much more she enjoys in. It is a HUGE area for the dogs. Most dogs are very well behaved and most owners keep a good eye on their dogs. Haven't had any issues yet. Bonus of a nice view of the mountains as well. The park can get quite muddy if it's rains so prepare for your dog to get dirty a few days after a rain but it's worth it to have her get good exercise and enjoy herself. If your dog doesn't need to be fenced in there's also a little beach area they can go for a swim in

Great place to visit in the summer. There is a pool here as well. Make sure to come early though as parking is somewhat limited and it does get busy. Beautiful views of the ocean and North shore mountains can be enjoyed from the park. Definitiely a spot for the family.

One of my favourite parks in the city for a bbq. Amazing view of the oceans and mountains, park, nice gradual entry pool for the little ones. Only issue is that the restrooms were out of toilet paper all day ( I was there from 9am-7pm) The concession staff told us to call #311 and tell the parks board. Never happened. Other than that, great park.

Feel there should be a section for smaller dogs. The small dogs can often keep up with the big ones but there s many times they get tumbled around quite a bit.It has an amazing view and it s quite large there a couple of trees and a couple of places to sit however there is no water. Quite an oversight.

It s a nice park with lots of space. The beach is very rocky but the kids love finding the little crabs. The pier is nice and has a good view despite the plentiful industry surrounding the area. The playground seems fine. Lots of picnic benches. The grass and trails are a bit over worn and the only bike racks I saw were outside of the park, not within the park. Haven t tried the pool.

Always looking for great dog parks. Has little beaches for dog swimming, large enclosed off-leash space, big open grassy spaces, and a marvelous (though short) walk/bike trail through thoughtfully curated plantings just on other side of tunnel near the equally interesting nature reclamation project area. All this juxtaposed with massive industrial stuff on the water and the transport trucks as you enter and the railroad tracks... we (dog and self) love it all!

I like walking to New Brighton Park along the rocky creek they built to the South in Creekway Park, accessible from Bridgeway Street North of McGill. New Brighton Park has spectacular views of the North Shore Mountains, Ironworkers Memorial Bridge, downtown Vancouver and more. The dog run is why we go there, it's about a 1 acre mud pit, fun for the dogs but they will need a bath after if it rained recently. There's one of Vancouver's last outdoor pools here, where we used to take the kids. In Summer you will see many large groups of picnickers. Parking here can be very difficult to find in Summer! Be patient and prepare for a potentially long walk with all your gear.

Inner city park with dated facilities including washrooms, out door and wading pool. Nice BBQs and off leash areas. Tiny beach, hard to get to and small parking lot. Reclaimed mud flats that are under work may make it more interesting

A fairly quiet park popular for dog walkers, beach picnics and with a few benches and BBQ stations for the summer. There's a nice outdoor pool to use, and a small playground. The drainage in the grassy area is quite poor, so expect mud if it's rained in the past week, and they've removed the tennis courts to put an off limits wildlife area in (still under construction). Great view of the Indian arm, and it's nice to watch the tugs go by from the small pier at the east end.
