DISGUISTING SCAMMER!
I paid a shipping fee to a merchant in the UK who organised the shipping (Norsk Shipping UK) of an item I purchased from the UK. Upon arrival in Singapore, I was issued an invoice to pay: a handling/documentation fee of $65 and GST amouny payable on top of the shipping fee already paid by my Merchant in the UK.
I DO NOT dispute about the GST amount payable (I am more than happy to pay for this as the item is above the SGD $300).
However, the hidden fee (Handling/Documention fee of $65) has NEVER been declared by Norsk Shipping UK.
Network Courier Singapore held the item since 1 Feb 2019 with an excuse they were raising the issue with their agent (Norsk Shipping in UK) which failed to respond until today (I am writing this review on 2 March 2019). I followed up with Network Courier every 2 days in the past whole month and the response was we are waiting for our agent in UK to respond .
I have purchased many things from overseas with values over SGD 300 (where GST is payable), not once any other courier companies (DHL, UPS, TNT, SingPost) charge a hidden fee (being the documentation/handling fee) after they shipped the item/after the item has arrived in Singapore.
This handling/documentation fee was NOT declared when the shipping order was accepted by Norsk Shipping in the UK.
Courier Network in Singapore is now trying to conveniently scam me by asking me to pay the handling/documentation fee after the shipping fee has been paid yo Norsk Shipping UK.
It appears to me Norsk Shipping (UK) has failed to declare the hidden fee . Whatever arrangement Network Courier has with Norsk Shipping UK is NOT my business/problem.
If there is a handling/documentation fee, this should have be declared in advance prior to shipping the item. The customer SHOULD NOT be scammed with a hidden fee AFTER the item has been shipped & arrived in the destination country.
I raised this discrepancy with my Merchant in UK. My Merchant agreed that whatever fee that Network Courier wish to charge, it should be charged to Norsk Shipping not the customer after the shipping fee has been PAID!
What a LOW, CHEAP & DISGUISTING was to make money!
