Oldest still the best hotel to stay in Kathmandu , big rooms , big gardens , well maintained , service is good , all basic amenities are provided in room , The dining area is too small for in house guest , especially during breakfast it becomes fish market and the quality of service and food goes down. The only thing which was pinching was no free WiFi , the charges were 935 Rupees Nepali for 24 hours. which is very steep for local Nepali standards , here you get 1 GB data on N cell mobile for 500 Nepali Rupees.

Breakfast is very good! But they don't have digital connection in TV till date. Analog single is also of very bad quality. USB point not work in there TV set. By multiple compalin to house keeping from more then one month also they don't here it.only say its not in there hand. It's management not providing it. Not recommended if for a long stay. For short stay no issue.

The Yak & Yeti is a classy hotel. It has large, comfortable rooms and a highly efficient staff. It would be a good hotel in any city but really stands out in Kathmandu. Limited dining options while other restaurant is closed for renovations but buffet is adequate. Gym/spa/pool available amenities. Airport transportation included is a plus. Excellent value by international standards.

Beautifully organized Hotel. Suitable for large social gathering. Hotel doors are beautifully painted. It has traditional windows in some of the conference rooms. Beautiful surroundings.

It feels very historical to stay here, almost like a palace feeling. A nice touch of antique decorations all over this hotel. They have got a beautiful garden. Good location too. Will definitely stay here again

Stayed for 2 days participating in an international conference. The rooms are very nice and the room I got had a garden and pool view. The breakfast was also quite good though I missed my favorites, idli and dosa. Overall a 5 star experience.

really a good hotel, and I've been around a lot. A true top five star. With a very rich breakfast buffet, not those constipated things that are received from Italian hotels, with frozen brioscine and barley coffee. Same for lunch and dinner. Chinese, Indian, Japanese, Arabic, Nepalese, Western, buffet and a la carte cuisine, with impeccable service. There have been three months, and I never ate there twice the same thing. Fitness center, indoor shops, hairdresser, picina, jogging trail, meeting rooms, office services, private lounges. Wonderful. The photos are dedicated to the garden and the geese friends.

The Yak and Yeti was my home for several weeks during a business trip to Khatmandu. The hotel has a rich history and is one of those places where you feel like you are in the heart of a country, which you are in a way because it is located in the centre of the city. There are adventures in every direction, when you venture out of the hotel. Oddly enough the thing I remember best from my stay in this hotel was the breakfast. It was the first time I had Tibetan yak yogurt and I fell in love with it.

This is my second visit to this excellent hotel in the heart of Kathmandu city. Its a very big property with all basic amenities, friendly staff and greenery. There's room for improvement though. Furniture inside the rooms are very old. Plug points are either in-accessible or far away at peculiar place. Some modernization is required i think. Rooms were squeaky-clean though. Happy to stay here.

This is 5 star hotel in kathmandu valleys Nepal, this hotel is at perfect place where people come easily here, and also got taxi easily.
Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff. The staff was extremely friendly, the restaurant very flexible (appreciate this!) and the restaurant supervisor deserves a special thanks. We had two great evenings here, which obviously also added up to the experience.

Excellent quality and ingredients, wonderful staff, but some of the dishes and the cocktails, being great ideas, are either not true to what they're supposed to be (there are no beans in borscht) or lack training (cocktails) - nonetheless very much enjoyed our evening!

If you live in the north burbs, it can be hard to find a good Indian restaurant. Yak and Yeti is your answer. Don't let the strip mall setting fool you, this is the real deal. The food is well prepared, timely (but not rushed), respectful, and most of all, oh so tasty. Do yourself a favor and find them. You'll have a great time.
