Dr. Nichols Rocks!! Brilliant Surgeon!! A True Go-gether!!

I started going to this children's hospital in 2008 after being diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder of Gardner's Syndrome and been with the hospital since age 10 and followed up with my appointments and surgeries with the help of my mother i loved the atmosphere and support from within the units when i was hospitalized and love and comfort from the nurses and doctors throughout the years and I'm happy to submit this review because being at high risk for colon i was always taken care of to make sure my health wasn't going to backfire the wrong way after turning 18 my GI doctor referred me to a another great doctor to continue my appointments as a young adult i will be sure to have my own future kids go to Nemours if something isn't right regaurding health

It is a amazing hospital and their service is exelant.

The make sure you have a great stay. The nurses are very nice to always ask if you need anything at all times. They also took good care of my daughter, just wished they exsept all insurense

My 14 year old son had shoulder surgery recently there and we had to stay overnight and it was the best experience! Beautiful, clean and modern environment! Friendly, and prompt nurses. Knowledgeable doctors who made you feel comfortable. The best hospital I have been to!

Unfortunately, my family needs them. Fortunately, they are there for us. It would be hard to imagine a more caring place to take my kids.

Every one of them here simple rocks. I will not change from Nemours to anyone else for my kids. They recruit the best of the best.

Had cancer, went here, and got the best treatment ever. Also had a friend who went here for a heart surgery, he had less worried knowing he was being dealt by amazing doctors nurses and staff

The doctors are very knowledgeable and have great bedside manner. They saved my daughter's life. Our nurses were amazing too.

The prescription hotline for behavioral health is completely ridiculous. My daughter has been a patient there for a few years. There always seems to be some sort of problem or excuse whenever I need to have any of her prescriptions filled. Several times I have talked to people in the office who have promised that the prescription would be called in only to find out later that day that they never sent the script to the pharmacy. I understand that I should be a bit more attentive to when her scripts are getting low but when the nurse is telling you the scripts will be there you want to believe they are doing their job. They have also sent the prescriptions to the wrong pharmacy a couple times. Several times (this night included) I am waiting for on-call doc to call me to see if they can send the script. I m pretty patient. But I think after today I am going to start checking my network to find another DR. Sad because we really liked Dr Yost but we can t deal with the disorganization and ineptitude of the staff. Very sad because my daughter has made some progress. But when she doesn t get her medication she will be wide awake for 2 days, and I can t stand by and watch her suffer anymore.

Fun games to keep the kids occupied while waiting, helpful and pleasant staff, valet parking with ok turnaround times. Clean, colorful and energetic!

The best children's hospital I recommend it in a from the best medical nurses and I can mention that the service staff is exceptional!

Horrible ER experience. If I could give 0 stars I would. Very rude staff especially doctor! Act like I m inconveniencing them for asking for her to do an exam. Are you serious? Didn t even check my daughters heart/breathing after 3 hours of waiting. Unreal. So every rude and the wait is unbelievable!

I came to the this hospital as a interpretor and worked with several families. Everytime I came here, I was just admire the staff here. Everyone who works here is so helpful and positive. Their positive attitude and smile is contagious. The work they do here is great. When you can bring a smile to a sick child's face. You have done a wonderful job. Keep up the great work!

I think it's disrespectful for employees of the hospital think they can be rude as hell especially night shift on 4/21/2018 working in Einstein cafe'. First off let me get this straight there's families here that are going through major hardship with their child's medical needs such as myself with my 3 month old son who had open heart surgery at 10 weeks old. Your job is to put patients and family first. It's very stressful with what my child is going through. You think you can be disrespectful and that's okay to add more stress? I am beyond disbelief on how the 2 employee's acted. You want to make side comments and laugh at me? Guess what I reported both of you, and I blasted both you on here. This is Dupont hospital, this is something I'd never would have expected would happen. I hope either your boss has a nice long talk with the both of you about how disrespectful you are. That's just rude.

Nemours is great my son had eye surgery there and they did a wonderful job they take great care of u and your kids I love them. He sleep in the picture but look at his right eye the before is on the right and the after

The staff at the emergency room and hospital did a fantastic job helping my 17 year old out.
One lady in particular in the emergency room (Jodi). Did not catch last name but she made my son and I feel at ease with the back injury sustained from playing hockey. Jodi stayed by our son giving him pep talks. She used her son's injury (very similar) that you can come back. Jodi was able to get sons hockey equipment returned which is small in the scheme of things but went a long way. Thank you Jodi

I travelled 3 hours to the ER with my daughter with such a severe case of google-itis. I was panicking and had been crying for 14 hours straight it felt like lol i kept telling myself she was fine but then thought worst case scenario. The nurses and doctors were so kind with my daughter who was not very happy to be there and did not make it easy. They were so nice to me despite my completely irrational fear. The Doctor Doug & her nurses were so nice and had lots of patience with Kaitlynn. Thank you guys so much for the peace of mind and being so kind to me over something so silly. I can t thank you enough.

More than a hospital it is a home for all of us who have been there with our little ones, the human and professional quality of everyone in the hospital is exceptional, I can only say God pay them for all that love, for their care and dedication that they gave us Daniel and me.

My minds made up, A.I. Dupont hospital is filled with educated scam artists who prey upon parents by manufacturing fears through the exaggerated possibilites of catastrophic scenarios via half-truths and most certainly whole lies. If I could leave no stars I would.

I waited 4.5 hours the Wednesday night. For my daughter to be seeing .mean while she went threw all her clothes and dipers. All the nurse said was there 3 people ahead of you when I asked. She was severely dehydrated and to top off I had to drive 34 miles away to go back to my local hospital. To get treatment

In ER for 5 hours before we saw a doctor. Then test were ordered. Their process is horrible.

I am appalled at the idea that a children s hospital would tolerate one of their staff members advocating for and implying that she carries a fake COVID-19 vaccination card, in which she displayed on social media. That staff member is a nurse by the name of RN Victoria Melpezzi Garrity. Please do your due diligence and investigate.

The best hospital to send a child to on the east coast. Absolutely phenomenal staffing and level of cleanliness, as well as quick service.

I'd give negetive rating if I could. They are like BUTCHERS but instead cut your pocket , we were charged 2700$ as we took our toddler son as he had upset stomach and gas so he was crying real hard and we were visiting a friend's place in Delaware so we were a bit worried and we took him to this hospital as per their recommendation. They seemed total clueless about this simple stomach problem and did USG and x-ray and held us there for 3 hours in some sort of an emergency room and BILLED US 2700$ including emergency room charge of 1600$. Totally RIDICULOUS. BEWARE BEFORE YOU GET RIPPED OFF HERE.

Tori Garrity needs to be removed from a position of working with children! Or anyone for that matter. If she is willing to lie about being vaccinated, then she has no business being employed by this (or any) hospital!!!

We came here from the Chicago area. Far better bed side manners than what we experienced at home. Not only do they treat our daughter with a great manner, but all family members are treated great as well. All hospitals need to learn what duPont does. The medical field would be a whole lot better. Not only for patients, but for families as well.

i took my child to the orthopedic and they prescribed him 2000 iu of vitamin d to heal a hair line fracture that was not healing on its own . i asked the doctor if vitmain d was water soluble . the Dr responded with " do you mean can you put it in water " i said no will it store in his fat if he takes too much .she said" i mean he would have to drink the whole bottle for something to happen to him and even then he wouldn't die .. Smfh .she obviously knew nothing about vitamin d and children. Thankfully the last visit we had with a different Dr. She answered my question and told me that more than 2000 iu is bad for him and infact stores in his fat if taken more. That is the problem . some doctors should not be drs.

Now it's time to return, it's already snowing a lot again

My son was transported by ambulance from Chester County Hospital in West Chester on 8/6/18 with appendicitis (the local hospital felt it best since he s followed by nephrology at A.I.) The attending ER doc and the PA literally poked at him and were ready to send him home because he was not a typical case and said the test he had done was not reliable. After arguing with them they finally consented to do another test...the exact same test that they said was unreliable. Turns out their test also confirmed appendicitis and my son had surgery the next morning. After the surgery the surgeon told us that if they had waited one more day his appendix would have ruptured.

The surgeon, nurses, and other staff that attended my son were excellent! They are the reason the ER drostment is getting 2 Stars.

We went to the urgent care as our daughter is throwing up and sick for three days. They suggested to go to Emergency Room at dupont in wilmington de. After getting all the paperwork that was needed we drove to dupont. Got registered paid the huge service fee in the first 10 mins. Waited for an hour to be called on. After that they assigned a room. Nurses stopped by for the next two hours but no doctor showed up. I went upon to the desk to find have seen the doctor at the computer. Also she responded that only one doctor is available in ER and that is her. Seriously? At the ER in a huge multi million dollar hospital one doctor is checking on all the ER patients? Screw their service. Next time we are not chosing dupont.

Very Nice people, especially if you stay overnight.

I just wanted to give some props to NuMours/DuPont Children's Hospital....I had my first experience with them on Monday. I had to take my daughter to a GI Specialist. First, I called another Philly hospital and the wait is 3 weeks, called NuMours and they got her in on Monday! Second, I got lost, stuck in traffic and rain on Monday and was a full half hour late and they saw me anyway. Many specialist offices would have turned me away. The doctor took plenty of time with us even though we were so late. Unfortunately, we were having trouble with the insurance company with regards to the meds he prescribed (grrrrr!) This kind man called me back and talked to me another full 15 minutes at 9:30 at night regarding my daughter's symptoms and further research on the possibility that she is having a drug reaction to a previous med. I can absolutely assure you that with all of my experience with another children's hospital in Philly over the past 7 months that this would have never happened there. Moral of the story: don't believe the hype and gut reaction that most people in the area have to go to a prominent children's hospital. There are alternatives out there equally qualified and well staffed.

My son just had Spinal Fusion Surgery for Kyphosis with Dr. Shah. From the moment we stepped foot in duPont over a year ago and up until he was discharged from his surgery, we have been nothing but impressed! Every person that has cared for our son has been professional, kind, and gone above and beyond their job. He had surgery on his 16th birthday. In Pre-op they brought him gifts! When we arrived to his room after surgery, it was decorated for his birthday :) Every person wished him a Happy Birthday and were so unbelievably kind to our son and our entire family. The staff on 2 West was unbelievable! During his stay they took the time to get to know him and did everything possible to make us feel comfortable. (Special shout out to his nurses Jess and Jen - Thank you so much for everything!) EVERYONE from the doctors and nurses to the dining and cleaning staff - they were all so very kind to us. The room was clean and allowed for us to stay with our son during recovery, which was extremely helpful. We cannot say enough positive things about our experiences with duPont, and highly recommend them to anyone that may be in need of help for their child. Thank you, thank you, thank you for everything!

They are awesome best care ive had in a while and my bsby only being a month old they took good care of him

Staff is extremely friendly and patient in the children's radiology department. I cannot say enough about them.

Nurses in 3C South are among the best, but all their staff shine!

My daughter was admitted for a list of problems. We saw Cardiology first and then transferred to a room so that other professionals could attend to my daughter. Every person we encountered had a smile and a hello. The doctors and other professionals kept us informed and made us feel that our daughter was their only patient. No one left her room without answering all our questions. We had a 7 day stay to stabilize my daughter and were only released with all sign-offs made on my daughters chart. We received training and follow up appointments before we left the hospital. I couldn't imagine taking my daughter to any other place in Delaware.

I have been taking my daughter here for 10 years. I absolutely LOVE her team of Dr's & nurses!! I was so impressed a few months back - I called on a late Friday afternoon asking a question that needed to be answered by 1 of her Drs. I received a call back after hours on a Friday night -the nurse had stayed late to speak with me! I wish all of the Dr's & nurses were like the ones at Boston Children's Hopsital!!

This is another DuPont gem, and is part of the DE Brandywine Treasure Trail Passport a season pass allowing people to see a wide variety of marquee properties ranging from museums, estates, botanical garden, and more. The grounds and mansion architecture are unbelievable - simply amazing. More detailed review to follow.

Really appreciate the expert care our son received in DuPont. Thank you Drs Hager, Solaiman - your knowledge and expertise were evident. Thanks also to Dr McKenzie and the ID team as well as Dr Lim. Big shout out to the incredible nurses on 4 west - Paige, Valerie, Diego, and Amy. You were all so kind and helpful. Highly recommend this hospital in every which way!

The nicest Doctors & staffers the nicest & most professional you could imagine. My son was there with a trauma injury and they were fantastic, exceptional care and attention. The Doctors were very skilled and careing . The Xray room nurse and tech were so kind and patient with my son that is truly was the gold standard in compassion .

Okay I m going to be honest my experience at this place was terrible, Not saying this is a bad place but for the predicament that i was in i don t suggest you bring your child here. Fast Heartbeat, High Stress Levels, Fatigue Etc. The people are nice but i think sometimes they are a little to nice because there is times where you need to be seriously looked at but they just take it as you being stressed or being woozy off medicine. Basically if your child is having any SERIOUS problem i don t recommend you take them here.

From the surgeon and OR staff, to the CICU and 2B nurses involved in the cardiac care of my son - impeccable.

I love this hospital! We recently lost health coverage and were stressing on how we were going to afford to pay our of pocket for our son. I called pediatrics to obtain info on getting medical records and inquire about cost of a office visit and explained our situation and the nice gentleman(I don't remember his name, but wish I did) directed me to a family financial advocate within the hospital, Yoselyn Valdes. Let me just say that not only did she help us immensely in figuring out how to tackle the predicament we are in, she was patient, super helpful, funny and friendly! I felt like I was taking to an old friend! Thanks to Yoselyn and this amazing program, I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off our shoulders! I felt like she went above and beyond her job description and it's people like her that make the 25+ min drive there for every appt. worth every minute! Thank you Yoselyn!

My 11 yr old had to be admitted on Christmas Day due to an infection on her finger. We had gone to the ER of a different hospital initially and they told us she was gonna need to be at a children's hospital, so to AI we went. The staff was terrific!! The pediatric ortho dr that did her procedure was amazing!! ( I feel bad that I forgot his name ) She started having sharp severe pain after the procedure and he was up to her room in about 5 minutes to check on her. I have to say a huge thank you to our night nurse who was just as amazing. She was there when her pain started and stayed till the dr came in. A little while later she came into the room with a bag full of gifts since she had to miss out on her entire Christmas afternoon.
My appreciation and thank you's go to Dr. Gant, Nurse Karem, Dr. Thacker, and the ortho surgeon who did the produre. You guys were great!

Great doctors! Appreciated the comprehensive team approach. When we arrived at the ER for an abdomen issue they also brought in a surgical team and collaborated with ER docs on a treatment plan!

Absolutely an amazing hospital! We have had to visit the tummy section, the heart section and have most recently spent a lot of time in the cast room. We have always had a positive experience and our children are never afraid or fearful of this hospital.

Very long ER wait time and recommended an unnecessary x-ray for a (safe) swallowed object. However the staff are very friendly and great people!

While there are some people in every department that are great, there are also some horrible flaws. If participating in outpatient therapy such as feeding, speech, occupational and so on, They automatically schedule weekly appointments with no regard to what else is on your schedule. As a disabled mom, with disabled/special need children, we juggle MANY appointments and sometimes we must skip a week or move to another day or time due to other medical appointments or illness. However, by the appointments being scheduled without consent, as soon as you cancel 2 you have broken attendance policy and are threatened with discharge. For this reason, I can NOT recommend outpatient therapies here.

Horrible experience when i wanted a second opinion from another hospital Dr. called social services and they were granted temporary custody. Never going back. Take you kids there if you're looking for a custody battle because you want a second opinion

Excellent, excellent care! With three kids, we've been going there for years for a variety of things. Outpatient care is great. ER is well run and efficient. Surgery is organized and meticulous. Labs and imaging on site. New hospital is GORGEOUS and state-of-the-art. It's what 21st Century American healthcare SHOULD be like: friendly, efficient, and effective.

When my oldest turned 18 and we had to go elsewhere for care, we had a rude awakening: most adult hospitals in the area seem almost 3rd world by comparison - chaotic, disorganized, overcrowded, and understaffed. They really need to take a page from A.I.'s book on organization and customer service. When you're used to the best, everything else seems cut rate.

Take your kids to A.I. Dupont. They'll get the best care around.

Absolutely the worst! The service my daughter gets, Downgrades every single time! I m constantly been given the run around on scheduling my daughters appointments, they keep telling me to go to the mymours website to schedule, but no one calls me back. I have to constantly keep filing complaints and the neglect from AI with patient relations and I shouldn t have to go through that every time!

Every time I am here with my son everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. Makes me wish I could come here for my own medical care.

We are currently on our way home from our visit and I don't typically leave reviews but I have to acknowledge how absolutely amazing the staff at this hospital are. We have had a past experience here that was also great,, but last night my 4 yo hurt his neck and we went to the walk in where he cried the entire time in pain. We got sent to the e.r. and when we arrived, we walked in, got registered, and got walked right back to an exam room where Dr. Santos was already waiting for us. Hands down the BEST doctor I have ever dealt with. Ever. He was nothing short of amazing with my son and had him laughing the entire time we were there. The entire staff was so incredibly helpful and kind. It means so much to know that the ones your trusting your child's health with truly care!!

Can't thank enough the sweet staff, doctor was terrific, nurses stupendous, fast care, and they actually CARE for the wellness of the kids and us parents, we are very satisfied with the attention and the result that we got. THANKS! !

went there because my 5 year old was feeling Dizzy Blurry vision and the left side of his head was hurting possible concussion from a fall he had at the park just to leave with no answer they did the typical look at the light test move your feet test walk towards me test, I was sent hear from crozer Hospital to this one by ambulance, one of the main reasons for this was because this Hospital specialices in children and they could do a catscan or xray but I was told by the Doctor that this is just an er there is not munch they can do basically that probably nothing was going to show on the xray or catscan something must be going on if my son feels this way my mind is Blown about the lack of care from some Hospital and Doctors have now days they are just there for the money I guess not because they care what happens to people it really sad...

Here during Cold & Flu season. Kid blows nose and reaches into those safety masks used to cut down on the spread of germs, drops most on floor- I informed staff and they did NOTHING. Very unsanitary place.

I give your doctors 5 stars. Your billing department and online payment system gets one. Totally useless. Have an account, cant log in, gives me my username, then tells me its invalid. 45 minute hold during the week to speak with customer service. I guess you don't want to be paid.

Always an amazing experience. Recently went for lab work with my 10 month old and Pam in the outpatient lab was wonderful! She was friendly, quick, and so sweet to my 2 boys in tote! Thank you Pam!

This place is amazing. It feels like the best of the best only work here. Your children are in good hands at this hospital.

The follow up phone calls made me feel like they really did care and I wasn't just another patient with a number assigned. Everyone from the receptionist to the doctor were A+. The only bummer was they were out of network so my health insurance bill was a little higher than normal...but you get what you pay for and my body is worth every penny!

Their website says they are there to help families! What a joke! Have you tried calling for an appointment??? The Children s psychiatry behavioral department, full of staff and capable of hiring more, will take no new patients!! We are sitting in the middle of a pandemic and kids lives have been jilted the most, and they tell you sorry we can t help but try to give you some lame list of other options that aren t even open. Absolute disgrace for one of the main hospitals around for children! And we are Nemours patients! Disgusting !

Waited for an hour on a phone to setup sick appointment, nobody picked a phone. Arrived and nurse told they have available for next day.

I had this hospital and its emergency room as one of the best. but it's not like that. My son arrived with a fever of 103 and was not given any medication. I had to ask to be given. more than 3 hours waiting for us to move to a room that is inconceivable, the room is not even half. If you do not have the capacity, do not receive patients

every last one of the schedulers are down right rude and ignorant. My child is considered a "high risk" patient and everytime I try and schedule and appointment and explain the situation here is NO REGARD for my toddlers well being. Horrible experiences. Doctors are amazing, staff is awful!

The doctors and nurses here are so conscientious about your child's well being, ensuring that you have everything that you all need, and about getting you in and out quickly. We are really fortunate to have such an amazing children's hospital so close!

Her words quoted on the app TikTok as the username: victorioussecret1107 , says screw a fake ID. I need a fake vaccination card now. This needs to be taken into action, especially working at a HOSPITAL WITH SICK CHILDREN. The act on her behalf shouldn t have been posted on a public app trying to risk other people and LYING. Fire her. Inconsiderate, lying, individual. Pathetic.

Best children's hospital around! My kids have 'll their special care needs met here. Staff is amazing!

This place is worse than the DMV. It took one hour to get registered. They finally took my son s vitals. Who know how long to get his xrays. Then maybe see a doctor. Hopefully the care is better this. But not sure given some of the reviews.

The people here take such good care of everybody and they're so passionate about making everybody comfortable and determined to make kids better.
