Forgot the suitcase on the train and helped very kindly. Conductor in the train was called who found the suitcase and delivered it to the next station.

Although we have heard the commitments of NS customer service with two people, the employee did not "put it in the system" and we have no legal proof that the fault lies with NS. As a result, we bear the high costs.
Tip to anyone who deals with customer service by phone: You can not reach NS customer service via E-mail, therefore confirm all agreements made in writing via fb / messenger or via the head office and also state that you assume that -without counter-notification within fourteen days- they agree with your content of the conversation.

Positive: Replacement bus transport and free coffee for delays of more than an hour. The NS app has also improved over the years.
Points for improvement: Regularly wrong train on platform information boards, trains too tight during rush hour, conductors who hardly provide any information and leave sick passengers on the platform without further assistance.

Most of the employees are very rude and would occasionally shout despite asking in a friendly manner. Horrible services. Employees ( especially the intercity direct) do not care and just tell you to go solve your own problems if something is stolen from you or lost in the train. Very ill-mannered employees and services that are overpriced for their slow and rude services

Badly informed by NS. After taking out an off-peak hours subscription, I am informed that I can get a discount. Seems good to me. This was when I had been on my subscription for a month. Now a year later I want to cancel my subscription, I cannot do so at the end of this subscription, but I still have to PAY AN EXTRA MONTH.

Very disappointed with the service from NS. They do not think along with the customer, but ensure that you are on the phone for a total of 30 minutes, of which you can listen to waiting music for more than 20 minutes. They keep saying you understand, but in the meantime no solutions are offered and you are the one who is the victim of a problem caused by the Dutch Railways. Really a great pity.

Recently booked an international trip at NS. When booking we were already very unpleasantly addressed. The employee became angry when I gave my girlfriend's name as the main booker, because she already had an account with the Dutch Railways. I was told up to four times that this was not the intention and this happened in a very unkind tone. When I asked if we could get a discount with a student travel product, people sighed and the employee said in an angry tone; for this one time then.

When we started the outward journey, the train suddenly did not run, cause unknown. You will not be informed of this. Because of this we literally had to sprint to make the switch. Fortunately this was successful.

Today on the return trip there is a 60 minute delay, which means we will not make the switch. Because of this we will be home 5 hours later. If you call customer service you will only be told that it is force majeure and that you have to find out for yourself at the station. When we said that we want to be home on time, because we have to work again tomorrow, we received the blunt answer that that was not her problem. Now we have arranged things ourselves at the Deutsche Bahn to be happy to be home quickly and on time.

NS, do something with your customer service employees. We think the way communication is really associate. In addition, ensure a good app with more information and clear notifications about delays and alternatives!
