The word national is a disgrace. If this is the best we have we are in trouble. The place is in desperate need of updating as many of the displays are falling to pieces. The signage is awful and paying upfront was pointless as the 'fast track ' system was a joke. The lay out is confusing as you have to up to the top before you even begin. Watching the fish would be relaxing if parents kept their kids under control and the screaming didn't pierce my ear drums. Don't waste your money but have a walk around the hoe instead.

Awesome place. My children loved it here, we will definitely be going back because we didn't have enough time to see everything. Also, I didn't eat at the cafe but it has wonderful views so we will be trying it out next time too

Small aquarium - a good size for children. The staff seemed knowledgeable when talking about their charges. On the other hand there are only 4 disabled parking slots and they are a LONG way from.the entrance. Once inside I used one of their wheelchairs. Lift inoperable on the day we went. My poor husband was unable to.push it up the long access ramp. Had to collar some poor, passing, punter to help!

Good value for money if you're a repeat visitor as you get a year entry for your one payment. Could be disappointed if you've seen what big aquariums in Australia look like, but for Plymouth it's a great facility. Good for kids

This place is very informative with lots of guides placed around if you have any questions and once you have paid once you are able to get return tickets for a year at no extra cost so even on holiday you could visit lots of times in week. More

We had a great day out. Neither cheap nor expensive. Yes, you could get around it pretty quickly, but we managed to drag it out past 3 hours by watching some of the talks. Staff were friendly and engaging and the kids were fascinated by the scale of some of the exhibits. It was busy, but it was a rainy day during the summer holidays. Whilst we're unlikely to take advantage of the free annual membership, I thought it was a great way for an attraction to provide a good local benefit.

We had a really great time! It was such an educational and fun experience. Highlight of the day was trying (badly) to complete the origami steps around the aquarium. Would recommend to anyone for a day out in Plymouth :)

A very well run aquarium in Plymouth. You need to book in advance due to COVID but due to this there are a lot less people.

Some displays / speaks are not on but don't let this put you off. We learnt about a new sea grass project, so still educational !

There is a cafe that is open and the aquarium is operating a one way system. There are lots of fish to see and admire !

Visited with my daughter in Aug. COVID-19 measures are effective, and don't detract too much from what is an interesting visit. The 3 large tanks remain the highlight of the visit, which children allowing make for mesmerising viewing. The return with 12 months make the ticket price more bearable, but won't work for everyone. A good rainy day option.

My son thoroughly enjoyed the visit. There's a good variety of tanks, including a walkway under / over the shark tank. Two areas would improve: some tanks were not labelled, and the restaurant is both poor and overpriced. A shame when everything else, especially the speakers, is so strong.

It has some great viewing windows. It took about 2 hours to get around, this included stopping for a while at the big viewing windows. It is expensive to get in but your ticket will get you in as many times as you like for a year.
