Love this place. Could sit and watch the fish for hours
This place is deceivingly large. Make sure you give yourself 2 hours to wonder round. Once you find the main fish tank you'll want to sit there's all day listening to the whale song.
Great for the kids and family but could do with more information on what's actually in the tanks.
Great selection of sea life, would have liked to see more activities/shows
We had a bit of a flying visit, but were overwhelmed with this aquarium, especially the shark feeding session which was very informative. Great for kids of all ages, for 2 to 3 hours of educational experiences.
Lots of staff around to tell you about the fish lots of shows too
Superbly laid out. A great walk around with the kids.
Good place to take kids but a little tired and expensive.
Fascinating experience and well worth a visit, multi access ticket great value.
Its been a few years since I've been to the Aquarium. I was really pleased with how it's progressed over time.
The staff were all friendly and helpful, each tank is clean and has easy to read information about the fish inside. A really lovely afternoon out. Thank you.
A wonderful place to visit with something for all the family. Staff are engaging and full of fascinating facts that can really add to your visit. You can get a year's ticket for the same price as an individual which really makes visiting here time after time a must.
A fabulous collection of fish, would highly recommend - better than sea life!!
We go regularly when we visit Plymouth, there's so much to see and our two young children love it. Toddlers can easily walk round although I found that reigns were I good idea to stop them running off in excitement to the next section. Buggy friendly on the way round but there's only 1 little lift at to take you to the starting point so important to bare that in mind when visiting during busy periods such as half term and the summer. We didn't get to listen to any talks in our most recent visit but they were feeding the starfish when we arrived which was fascinating. There's a cafe and plenty of places to sit and have a little munch if want to take a break. Toilets as dotted throughout the different sections as well as the ones in the cafe (the cafe has baby changing facilities available).
Please bare in mind that the footbridge is currently closed due to a fault which PCC and Sutton harbour are in dispute about who should fix so could be out of action for the long term. However there is a nice walk along the harbour which takes approx 20mins (children depending) into the Barbican which is worth visiting. On a nice day it's a really pleasant walk.
Comprehensive exhibits but felt quite fast and expensive for a day out
Such a nice place to visit, all staff really nice and helpful.
Helpful and informative staff, good layout and plenty to see
Well worth a visit a good couple of hours spent in there
We had a lovely visit here. A couple of very large tanks with plenty of marine life to see. Some spectacular viewing areas, the curved glass window being my favourite. The staff were really engaged and friendly. Would definitely visit again.
Good sized exhibitions. A lot of information as well. Great for small kids and adults alike. Only problem is it gets very busy and can be hard to see the smaller tanks with all the small children in the way
I was disappointed with the display as it's the biggest aquarium in England
Lovely aquarium. Good one way easy for social distancing.
Super aquarium with fun games for children! A very large and wide species of marine animals!
Its very interesting and plenty for adults as well as children of all ages staff helpful and will answer questions the talks informative but not boring a really good day out
Held my daughters 7 birthday there. Absolutely brilliant. Fantastic in every way.
Good day out. Could be cheaper but atleast you get to go back free for a year if you do the paperwork correctly.
Love the MNA and hope we can be back within twelves months to see them again on the same ticket
Very expensive family attraction. Annual pass option excellent value if live close with children but poor value if travelling from further away.
An amazing experience, I would definitely come here again
Ok, intresting, but vastly overpriced. The sort of place you only go once. Once you've seen it there's no point in going again.
I expected more than I got in my local Bristol Aquarium. It has more big tanks, huge ones, about 4-5 but very few smaller tanks I expected. Less variety. I was overall dissappointed.
Far better than any of the Sealife centres we've visited over the years.
It's a lovely aquarium but definitely not as big as I thought it would be. Everything there is also a bit dated
Lovely trip to the Aquarium for Christmas Eve- as empty as I have ever seen it!
Brilliant, kids learnt lots and we all enjoyed it, full day out!
Brillant been a few times just can get threw it pretty quick.
Great for kids! Also has in door soft play area which you pay an alloted time for, really interesting talks for families about the natural sealife
Always a good day out, but no baby changing facilities big enough to fit a double pram. Apparently a common issue, but nothing's ever been done.
Mostly Large tanks. Lots to see. Could do with upgrading the smaller tanks to give other fish bigger habitats
We loved our trip to the aquarium and it was the perfect wet weather activity during our holiday. Make the most of the deal to visit Dartmoor Zoo half-price with an aquarium ticket receipt.
Fantastic place to take the little ones, well stocked with entertaining lectures for all, learning made fun for a relativly cheap price, well done
Amazing place with focus on conservation at home. So informative. The shark aquarium worth seeing.
Fantastic and the best Aquarium I have ever been to - well worth a visit.
This was a nice aquarium, little disappointed with the size thou. Not the best value for money in comparison to other places and the fast track entrance was not worth the extra money based on the time of our visit. The big tanks are really good.
Really good. Limited availability for people with a free annual pass which is annoying. Otherwise very well organised and great for kids of all ages
Kids loved it and was lots to do tho found we had finished within 2 hours. Really worth the money and the fact you get free returns for a year makes its 5 stars for us
We had a nice day out in Plymouth and visited here.. it was good however there were less things to do than expected. Probably not worth the money but it was alright
very educational and impressive. 3 big tanks with good viewing spots. We went on rainy bank holiday Sunday so it was absolutely rammed and Im not kiddong or being fussy with far too many people allowed in especially pushchairs and toddlers. More
Very good for kids big and small. So much to see....
Amazing showcase of marine life from our local waters and beyond. Three giant tanks and lots of little ones. Fun and educational for all ages, doesn't take long to go around for the price though. I'd recommend just sitting and watching the big tanks for as long as you can. Some interesting toys in the gift shop.
You can come back for a free visit but the aquaruim expects you to fill in a form and provide passport size photos to do so, which is not possible if you're away from home. In the days of webcams this seems totally out of date.
It's our 2nd visit and it just gets better each year so far, loads to see and simply a great family day out
Really good day out. Kids love it and parking is easy and in a lovely part of the city.
Saw fish in big tanks, aquarium seems a bit 'tired', wouldn't pay for entry
Octopus talk is very interesting, demonstration is fun
Great place to go and relax as well as look into a world we can't always see
Awesome relaxed place with free return within the year
Enormous tank, with great views of a great many species.
