Beautiful aquarium in the south of England, the National Marine Aquarium offers its visitors a unique experience in contact with the inhabitants of the sea. Brochures and guides are available for those who want them. Highly recommended for children and for groups. There is a bar for refreshment and a toilet with access for disabled people. It is advisable to go to the aquarium in moments where there are not many people to fully experience this experience

Went one rainy day in school holidays. There is a good variety of things to look at and the shark tank is very impressive. Unfortunately though the building is too cramped, too hot and needs some investment to get up to spec.

A lot of the tanks didn't have details of what was inside which was disappointing.

It all felt a little dated in the way of entertainment experiences. I have been to other aquariums that are a lot more open, modern, fresh, and a bit more interactive.

Really good aquarium, better & bigger than others we've been to. You can spend a day there looking around... Not cheap but where is these days? Worth the entrance fee more than a host of other attractions.

Absolutely loved this place, we spent an hour just in the curved glass wall room. There was plenty of room even though it was busy. Staff were always helpful and knowledgeable and lots of talks about the sea life going on to.

Great place to enjoy the sea aquarium and those who live within it. You'll need plenty of energy to get around this building and enjoy climbing steps. There was places to eat inside and outside of the Aquarium. Good views from the top of the glass viewing area where the cafe was situated. The only downside for me was that there was no where to park the motorhome. Sat Nav has it's uses, but if you're in a motorhome, I would recommend one that is for a motorhome in particular.

A good trip, but not sure it's worth the money for a single visit.
You get a voucher for free return within a year, and half price entry to Dartmoor Zoo; which does make it worthwhile however.
The talks are good, there's plenty of staff on hand to give info, and lots of sea life to see.
Food in the cafe is expensive (as expected), but the paninis are tasty.
If you can get a deal on entry fee, or you'll visit more than once, I'd recommend it.

Lovely day at the aquarium as always. Love taking my grandson here it's amazing. Once you pay for your 1st ticket it's great that you can then go free as many times as you like for a year.

This is a very interesting and well laid out centre. A massive selection of marine animals. Through the day there are feeding by divers and a lot of informative talks from the stsff at various main display tanks. It's a good few quid to get in but gives you unlimited visits for a year. The car park next to it is odd in that you have to pre-pay for an amount of time. We maxed it out. Brilliant day out at this massive marine aquarium. Fantastic staff that are incredible and very knowledgeable. We will return again before our year ticket expires.

Don't go in half term . And I think we'd take a baby carrier next time, there are a lot of stairs and only small lifts. Quite confusing with directions as well, lots of dead ends and the lift buttons weren't clear. I'm not sure we saw it all but we gave up. The big tanks are great, unfortunately they had a talk on so the biggest tank area was rammed full.

Delightful place! Well worth the entry with informative yet child friendly talks throughout the day on a variety of topics. The staff are very kind and knowledgeable. You really feel like your money is being used well by the conservation and captivity teams. The cafe has nice food if a little pricey. Give yourself a lot of time if you want to see everything!

Do as we did, park up allowing plenty of time at the nearby pay and display. Browse NMA & enjoy lunch at the venue. When you've finished there take a walk around Sutton harbour, the Barbican, round to the Hoe. Beautiful views and plenty see, lots of restraunts and coffee shops to stop at.

Amazing!! Exhibits are factual and fun, but also the amount of work and research they do is astounding!
They have a lot of signs reminding you of donations to sealife preservation under various charities, and so they should!! What better place?

Truly an amazing place to visit. Animals are well cared for, staff are incredibly knowledgable, and I would highly recommend a visit for people of all ages!

A good aquarium with a broad range of species. Friendly staff work here and the place is clean. They do however need to improve their crowd management setup and it is a little over-priced for what you get.

I spend many happy hours here just taking photographs. It's a very relaxing place to walk round. If your local to the area it's always worth getting a yearly ticket. I was spending two to three days a week here and on average three hours a visit. Sometimes it's worth walking round again. There's always something to see so don't miss out. Enjoy your day at the National Marine Aquarium.

Smaller then I expected but there plenty of different fish to see, I huge range of star fish and rays, a bit pricey for the amount of time it takes to get around only need around 2 hours. Coffee shop is a good price for a attraction. Please note that the bridge is close so takes a little longer to walk around to the entrance

Fantastic day at the aquarium and got complementary return tickets too. My son loved it and went around the whole site twice! Parking was very close indeed and you can tell the site is all very well looked after. Massive thanks to the lady in the rockpool zone (monday 3rd august 4pm) who was amazing with my son and he had a great time.
