People and gift shop are great. I Max theatre was nice. The food there was chintzy and ridiculously expensive.

The movie is pretty good but dont bother buying the meal deal they will just give you a personal pizza, that's cool if you like pizza, but my wife and I can't do pizza. The IMAX was great even if it was a little old. They even let you get a ticket and come back and use it s different time. For us we went and they had a bus of kids going at the same time so they told us we could come back at s later time with the a as me ticket and it would be ok.
Worked out great because then the kids were gone and it was an enjoyable experience.

Good souvenirs! I bought a cute hoodie for under 40 bucks.Not bad

The IMAX presentation was stunning. It's a short film but the camera work is incredible and draws you in with the giant screen in the theater. It's the best way to see the Grand Canyon short of a personal ride in an ultralight and well worth the admission fee.

More of a sales center then information center. If truly looking for info on things to do stop by another location then this one

Outstanding IMAX movie if the Canyon and it's history. Souvenirs that are not available elsewhere.

we had a great time and they had great accommodations for those of us who are handicapped thoroughly enjoyed it

Lots of great scenic views! There is a really interesting video played in the visitors center that everyone enjoyed watching, which told us how the canyon was formed.

There are no words for how amazing the entire place is!!!

This is an amazing place. I'm still impressed with the magnitude and beauty of it.
If I knew that it would be so amazing, I would come before.
They have 3 entrance. I went to the south side.
Once you buy your entrance, it is valid to enter for 7 days.
If you planning to come, make sure you drink a lot of water. Also I highly suggest to eat light fruit.
It is nice to see the sun rise and sun set. They open at 4:00 am and close to enter at 2:00 pm, you can stay as long as you want.

Over priced clothing, they allowed the hot chocolate to run out, and a poor selection of food. At least the restrooms were good.

Very friendly people who have some really good tips for you - even if you're short in time.

It has changed and gotten smaller they have less items from my previous visit one year prior.

Commercial and really American. The visitor center provides good information and backgrounds about the grand canyon. For independent advice, go to the local tourist office across the street for good and free tips for sights and what to do and what not to do

Tourist trap. Pay to much to see a 40 year old film

Touristy and busy (to be expected), but we don't care for the crowds and tour buses.

Tourist Trap! I expect a lot more from National Geographic - pictures, info booths, interpretive information... Something. Not just a tired, dated, IMAX film with sales people for tours. Skip this and go directly into the canyon to watch it's FREE film.

The IMAX film here was not impressive. The film is dated and centers around a flashback historical expedition, but it just felt like it was something old and reformatted for the big screen. The FREE film in the actual canyon visitor center was much more impressive than this one and I heard other people comment the same thing as we left.

Other than that, this center has the Pink Jeep Tours and the Papillon helicopter tour company strategical renting a both next to the cashier of the theater.

Again, I expected much more from National Geographic and have to wonder if their trademark is just being licensed here. No educational value for the children.

Great place to visit. The movie introducing the grand canyon in the IMax was excellent. The items in shop was a bit expensive, but had some good souvenir to take home.

Interesting place to learn much about the history of the Grand Canyon. Also the best location for food before going to the Grand Canyon.

It's called a Visitor Center, but it's just a gift shop/theater/food stop for commercial tours.

The Imax wasn't all that great. It felt like I went back in time to 1990's. I personally didn't think it was worth it. Their gift shop is nice though. Lots of options.

great place to get info on everything relating to the GC and the area. Also, they sell souvenirs and food. Price are what you would expect...a bit inflated....but the woman at the info desk had amazing knowledge and advice.

Great souvenirs. Loved the IMAX show. And the tour of Grand Canyon offered by the Visitor Center is very informative.

First off, people should be aware that this is not actually inside the park; it's located just a short drive away from the gates and serves more as a gift shop than anything. They do show the IMAX film here, but the center itself offers little in the way of education or activities. The restrooms and food options are convenient for those needing a quick stop.

The visitor centre is a movie theater that plays an entertaining IMAX movie about Grand Canyon. A small story around early human visitors to the place. But other than that no scientific info. 3 stars just fot the entertainment value of you'd like to kill some time.

Tourist trap with outdated overpriced movie. It does not even deliver the story of Grand canyon as it promises.

Cool gift shop, clean restrooms, IMAX theater. A nice place for maps, or to wait around for your tour guide. Theres also a cafe and ice cream place inside.

Beautiful views, especially afternoon fading into evening.

Great stop before entering park. But your ticket here, grab some food here, use the potty here, and enjoy their massive map and information art. Very clean facilities, and the ice cream was pretty good.

Make a stop at RP's before going into the park and get you something to eat, then walk the Rim Trail for a spectacular view. Lots ofparking at the visitor center

The views are amazing and a great way to spend quality time outside with family. I would recommend blocking out a whole day, 2 if you are coming from far away and want to hike. We had dogs with us so we were limited on what trails we could do but even the kids were impressed! Will be going back without dogs to do trails below the rim and see more areas. Words can't describe how big this is!!
