One way system a little confusing at times with Covid and all, but a beautiful space, amazing art and great explanations

Wonderful exhibition of Sorolla paintings! Well worth a visit!

Beautiful and free, but complicated to visit, the rooms are weird corridors

The selection can be sparse depending on the season however still worth the visit. Beautiful building in itself and often host amazing workshops and art classes.

The stunning recent renovation makes this place incredibly special. Well worth stopping by to appreciate the architecture and art and a lovely cafe for lunch or coffee.

Great venue, especially since the completion of the renovations. Saw the annual exhibition of the Turner watercolours which should be seen before it closes at the end of January.

Very large. Brilliant Sorolla exhibition. Didn't eat there.

Picture gallery totally renovated with large elegant rooms. The only drawback (unfortunately very negative) the lights are not always positioned ad hoc on the canvas with considerable impairment of the reading.

An excellent place for a free hour or two.

Even if you're not generally an art enthusiast, the free entry means you need a real good excuse not to explore.

Great art but obscure layout. Wanted to get to Print Room from temporary exhibition space and it took 4 security men to get us there. Combination of different levels and bad signposting.

Lovely spaces and beautifully curated. Even the door staff are knowlegable and very willing to help.

A sight for the eyes with a boundless expanse of works of art!

Nice place, with a mix of old and modern art galleries. I was there on an instameet, but could probably go again.

Very Big museum with paintings from different times

Unfortunately, on the day of the visit, half of the rooms were not accessible for the preparation of an exhibition. I was able to see a room dedicated to painting between 800 and 900, a decent exhibition. The exhibition dedicated to painting around Caravaggio was, by Italian standards, expensive: 20 euros. It was done well without excessive pretensions.

Beautifully restored building with a great selection of old and contemporary art. Harry Clark's stainless works are stunning.

Only short time there will go back again soon and spend the day looking around

I spent a Sunday afternoon here and it was brilliant. I'm far from an art connoisseur, so the descriptions beside each painting and sculpture were very helpful and insightful.

The gallery itself is well designed and pleasant to walk through, and the staff are friendly. My only regret is visiting on a warm sunny afternoon, so it was quite warm and quite busy inside, but I still enjoyed my visit and will definitely return.

Was lucky to catch a pre lunch recital..heaven..art and music combined!

What's not to like .... a great escape from the busy streets of Dublin. Medicine for the soul

Shop is expensive as expected, no flash photography and no talking near the pictures, (staff told us to be quiet while we were whispering and talking about the pictures).
The place is like a maze inside.

Beautiful art gallery. To visit. If you are in a hurry at the entrance, take a map of the museum that will show you the works to be seen absolutely without getting lost in the halls.

Interesting and really immense; recommended, of course, for art history enthusiasts or for those who simply want to learn something new.

A small gallery worth a visit and a quick cup of tea at their own cafeteria

Really pleasant gallery. A nice range of paintings to see.

3 months ago I was told that there was a limited number of places in the review because of the review, but it is still almost half-limited. However, I can see pictures of Caravaggio, Picasso and Monet ~ The staff are very nice and I feel good! It was a complicated way to go except for a limited number of places. I do not know when the construction will be finished.

A nice collection in an open airy space with lots of seating and a cool cafe.

Was brought here as a surprise to see the vermeer exhibition. The gallery has just reopened after being refurbished.

The best gallery out there. The paintings are beautiful, as with any art gallery (or most), but it's the staff that make it special. They let you do whatever you want, using their judgment rather than blanket "rules", which tells me that they really love their jobs.

A huge gallery with a wide variety of art! It's free entry and worth a visit if you're in the city. It is a big gallery, so even if you can't stay for long, you'll be sure to see lots of brilliant work.

I went there with one man, but immediately upon entering I said that I didn't really want to be there and that I was waiting for him in front of the park or that Hudson bar. I was waiting for him at the Hudson bar.

It is a must visit give yourself 2-3 hours, amazing collection of Art.

fabulous place this with art from throughtout the ages! if fully recommend going in for a jaunt or a potter. it is pleastan,t quiet and has a cafe but honestly id go somewhere else for your coffee. save yourself the money

Very impressive, gallery renovations make this a worthwhile visit. The amount of art on display needs two visits to fully appreciate the quality of art on display.

Very nice paintings but one of the guard was really rude! I was with my students who were really nice calm and polite and he told us off for nothing!

Some of the oldest paintings I've ever seen. Very nice gallery, clean, staff are nice too.

Amazing place that looks tiny from outside but is huge inside. There is a permanent collection with classic European art, but also a modern collection and a rotating one that always appeals to different people. It s an amazing place to go with your family and spend a whole afternoon there. A guaranteed place to have fun and get more culture!

Very nice setting not very tidy arrangement. Some valuable works.

Went to see the Roderic O'Connor exhibition which was really interesting even to an non art buff.

Already compiled collection. Starting with the small but fine collection of European art, about Irish artists (part subject to a fee), old masters and more modern art periods.



A timeless artist who, just before the current crises and wars in the world, is just as up to date as it was in her day.

Very pleasant place to visit. Contains paintings by the greatest painters. The rooms are expertly lit and time passes comfortably thanks to the large spaces. Friendly staff.

It's free! Didn't get to stay very long, but what we did see was excellent. Definitely make time to visit.

Taking family around town and wandered through here and had a great time. I'd be happy to just wander through here just for the building let alone the art.

I'd make sure you wear comfy shoes as you can do a lot of walking. Able to take it at your own pace and soak it all in.
