Small museum with an interesting collection. The setup takes s little getting used to, but provides for a great atmosphere. Also has a great little cafe to enjoy after your visit. If it's a nice day, you ca sit right outside in the park!

A more than discreet selection of works from the fifteenth century onwards, well organized, famous authors such as Rubens, El Greco, Cezanne, Monet, Van Gogh ... I add that it is free and I consider it a stop not to be missed!

Excellent layout in top building and very good variety of exhibits. Bottom building a bit of a disappointment as it was pricy and if you didn't know the artist, not really worth taking a risk on a day visit.

I love the Scottish National Gallery. I would like to take my daughter round but she may not be able due to a recent accident, and there seems to be no way of contacting you to find out if wheelchairs can be hired or borrowed.

I would give you five stars if it were not for the that reason. I would also like to know if you do meals in the cafe, or even sandwiches, or is it just drinks and cakes?

Nice museum with an attractive exhibition. The location and the surrounding area are somewhat out of the question for the exhibition. The fact that the house can be visited free of charge is very nice. Be sure to visit while visiting Edinburgh.

Beautiful high-quality permanent exhibition. Unfortunately only a small shop. The temporary exhibitions are at the entrance of Princes Street, where you should also take some money for the entrance.

An amazing gallery with some truly astonishing art. However! Where is the art painted by women? In the entirety of the downstairs gallery there is not one piece of art painted by a woman. It s just a bit irksome.

Definitely some amazing renaissance art though.

An essential stop for those visiting the city. Also leave a tip for the beauty of this gallery containing paintings from every era, including many Italian paintings (Leonardo, Raffaello) ... Beautiful room of impressionism and post-impressionism with Monet, Gaugen, and the inevitable Vincent Van Gogh

We visited today to see the Turner water colours that get exhibited in January. What a wonderful collection... works shown are early to late works from his travels to Europe. I particularly liked the Venetian s enes, also the one of Heidelberg. Brilliant, go and see it while you still can - it's free too!

The gallery had the usual source such as paintings and statues however it was very clear that this was the free one I would feel ripped off however we didn't have to pay so I kind of understand but it would have been nice to have had a better experience saying that though they did have numerous Claude Monet and Vincent van Gogh as well as many other famous artists

Like looking a paintings from the olden days? Look no further. The Scottish National Gallery will have you frothing at the mouth. Otherwise maybe pay a visit to the Modern gallery ~20 minutes walk away.

For avid gallery goers, you'll really appreciate the linearity of this exhibit. You can see everything in about an hour and a half, and can't get lost or miss a wing. It has a great broad stroke of representational art. I personally love their Sargent.

It is very good, an "must" of Edinburgh, but I expected more quantity and a bit more illustrious. The best thing about all of Edinburgh's museums is that they are free. This is how all museums, cathedrals and so on should be. Excellent staff, a norm in Scotland. The accessibility for those who go with children and a cart is also very good.

Great
