Such a great zoo! I do wish there were options for golf club rentals or a Segway options to get around because it s tons of walking which takes away from the zoo attractions. Be prepared to walk excessively between exhibits! Make sure you re also wearing comfortable clothes and walking shoes!

I thought I already reviewed this with comments. One of the saddest zoos I ever been to, expensive and the staff unhelpful to the kids. The movie theater was nice and cost effective though

Loved our little family trip to the nc zoo. Its a wonderful place to teach kids about animals. We made a mini vaccation out of our trip

We go to the zoo or the aquarium every other month or more. Yearly membership is reciprocal with almost every other biology oriented attraction in the state. With a family of 4, it pays for itself on the second trip.

We have never had a bad experience. However it can get really busy, so we try to plan to go on days that are less than ideal in regard to weather or during work days. Doing that, we usually have the place to ourselves.

You can do both sides in a day, walking leisurely, if you get there early. You'll want to devote at least 3 hours to both. There are plenty of benches, rest stops, and rest rooms.

We have continued to be disappointed in the programs offered by this zoo. We have waited in line twice for the zoofari, today over 30 minutes to be told it was sold out, while the lady running the line let an entire family join in ahead of us. We attempted to run the so 5k to benefit the zoo, and we're also told it was sold out over a month before the event. It seems like a waste to pay for membership and never get the benefits.

It s the ZOO! Wear comfortable shoes at it is a large one. Spend money and go feed the giraffes. Pack a lunch and some snacks.
Go to the zoo. It isn t that far away.

We have been here several times throughout the years and we have always enjoyed ourselves! We recently decided to take advantage of the membership! We are excited about our next trip to the zoo!!

Masks and all, they did good. Everyone we encountered was very kind. Next time, me and the 2 little ones will rent the Ryder animals and cruise the zoo. It looked awesome. And way easier than pushing a stroller for 2, up hill, both ways!!

If you think you may visit more than once a year...get a membership...recieve info about what's going on! Enjoy mine!

No big cat exhibits gift shops are very expensive food at the restaurants is very expensive. No vegetarian restaurants. Need more vegetarian options.

Enjoyed the zoo! Don't go in the summer. Too hot for people AND animals!!

This is a wonderful zoo! The habits are beautiful and really allow a great view of the animals. The zoo society helps fund great projects around the world. The membership is well worth it for the admission alone, but the magazine and other benefits add a gre as the deal also. Put this place on your "must see" list.

The biggest zoo I've ever took the kids to better have your walking shoes

Worth the travel to reach this zoo. Well planned and executed animal displays. Large enclosures for the animals with lots of up close viewing opportunities. We were able to view all but a few animals; most up close enough to really observe them. There are a few feeding opportunities (worth the small extra fee) and animal experts at many locations to explain behavior, conservation efforts, answer questions. Lots of walking and some big hills. There are trams, buses and ramps to assist with some of the longer distances, but be prepared to walk. We were pleased to find the food quite good for theme park food, but you can pack a small personal cooler if you like. Entry price is very reasonable for the all day experience...and plan to stay all day to experience it all. We saw most of the animals in 5 1/2 hrs but not everything and we didn't do any of the extras (boat ride, shows, ropes course...which were small extra fees). Parking is free and plentiful at both entry points (North America or Africa) and bus shuttle available between lots. Well planned shady spots to wait for buses and trams.

We had a great time. Weather was perfect. Would like teams and shuttles more frequently.

This visit to the NC Zoo was great. We went before the Africa part of the Zoo was open. Even though it wasn't open yet there still was plenty to see. Our nephews had a great time and can not wait to return when the Africa section opens.

Excellent zoo! Animals have a ton of room. Large variety of animals to see. Kids have playgrounds to enjoy. Food is expensive and unimpressive. Staff is friendly and volunteers are knowledgeable about the animals and eager to teach. Highly recommend this zoo.

Always a wonderful place to visit. Love the natural habitat exhibits.
