It's a sad day that we have been idling at Woodley offices waiting to be served for the last 3 hours. All in the name of staff meeting, surely skeleton staff would do rather than closing services like in this case. We demand apology from management of nairobi water

I am writing to lodge a complaint against one Kepha Naburi Abonyo of mobile number 0724***970 who is a member of staff at the Company. He disconnected my water meter yesterday and on calling him to enquire the reason for the disconnection he told me I had a debt of Kshs. 5,000.00 and that he infact removed the metre. I told him i did not have any debt and that my last bill of Kshs. 1,590.00 was settled on time and my bill reads zero. He asked me to send him proof of payment which I did via his mobile number aforementioned. I then asked him to recheck and confirm. It is after this he asked me to go report him at their head office as according to him i had a debt. I then sent him some 20 bob just so I could know his name. Immediately after the mpesa message he called back rudely telling me he has no money problems and that I should go report him at their head office; that I should stay without water until when he feels he can come to reconnect. This kind of arrogance and rudeness in the people who serve us is wanting and unacceptable. Please assist/deal. My metre number is 1167752.

This company is corrupt. They continuously charge arrears, then when you pay the arrears, they charge you arrears on the arrears, even if you paid the arrears on time! Their staff are rude. Their water supply is for a few days a week. They do not reply to Email inquiries, and no one answers at their ethics inquiry hotline. Deserves zero stars.

Edit 20 October: We have heard from a source with inside knowledge that people within Nairobi Water and Sewerage are taking money to not supply water to our area. The person apparently paying this money has well water, which he then sells to our area when we run out. I cannot say first-hand that this is true, but what I can say is that while the rest of Nairobi enjoys water, our area constantly experiences shortage, and often little or no delivery on our ration days. Complaints to Nairobi water are met with no response, no call-backs, and no action. Even the complaints section of their website is non-functional and always returns a no-send error message.

I just don't understand how in this time of crisis and with hygiene measures being enforced all around you would still deny your customers water. Its uncouth to say the least.
There's no water for days on end in the old Donholm area and Ruai.
This is corruption and trully inhumane .

Veery poor service..chronic water shortage in Kangemi/mountain view estate. 3rd week and counting...not a drop of water in the taps. The most suprising is that car wash spots operate 24/7. What's the criteria for some parts of Nairobi having water and not others.

I have never experienced anything emotionally positive about nairobi water. Their staff seem to suffer from the culture they carried over from city council. The staff particularly those in the front office are care-less and mean with no idea about the meaning of the customer to the organization.
