Tasteful choices in architecture and landscape design quickly assuage any initial doubts regarding its location. With spotless, exceptionally designed rooms and amenities; understated opulence oozes from this well-appointed hotel. A local favorite for good reason.

The mystic Marriot has hosted several of the events that the chamber of commerce organizes and they are always on the ball. The banquet space is fantastic and the staff is friendly and helpful.

CLEAN place to stay but is under renovation. A few mis steps with the renovation- shower has no trays, glass work area top looks good but an optical mouse doesn t work, nice air handler but it made a banging noise every time it started, small sink area barely enough room for a guys toiletries let alone 2 peoples stuff, LOTS of towels was good. They put me in a handicap room so I don t know yet what a standard room is like but this one was probably roomier than standard. Buffet breakfast was OK but not great - all employees were very nice!

The rooms were up to par. It has a conference room like vibe. One thing that threw me off and kept me scratching my head was the unsightly carpeting. Im not saying unsightly as in grotesque, but simply color pattern was just off. Large swathes of red carpet with yellow round patterns and a green spiral of polkadots. Not a fan, doesn't make me feel welcomed. Needs to appeal to the visual senses more.

Went to the bar for lunch. They were seriously understaffed. One person for the entire bar seating area. The entire process took way to long to get waited on, drinks served and food delivered.

Rooms were nice. Attended as part of a big charity ride from Boston to NYC. Hotel was very accommodating from my perspective. Their catering was surprisingly absolutely fantastic, very impressed.

Does not honor Best Price Guarantee. Saw lower price on Expedia, filed a claim and they waited 24 hours to verify the pricing, which at that point was higher. When I provided the snapshot of the screen from 3 different 3rd party sights I was informed that they must see it live. THEIR REPRESENTATIVE, that I called @ the 800#, when booking the reservation was the person who told me to file the claim after he personally verified the website himself. I CANCELLED MY RESERVATION. Wouldn't stay at another Marriott based on their misrepresentation and false advertising. Disgruntled-Not at all. Just don't like being taken advantage of.

Clean nice and overall environment is nice. I had a good experience, but bad management! After my stay there I realized that they charged us twice on our accounts. At first, I though they charged me for incidentals, but that would have been a ridiculous conclusion because they charged me $400! I then called and it sounded like they charged the friend who paid for the hotel costs and then charged again on the card of the one who checked in first. This is ridiculous and I am madly frustrated because I as the customer should not experience this uncertainty and be affected by this mistake that should not have been there in the first place. They need to do better training, give their workers coffee to stay awake and discern each cases with clarity, because the guy who checked me in that afternoon was really drowsy and didn't seem like he had it together. He may have made the mistake, but still. Come on. I am frustrated and they need to fix this to prevent further bad reviews from others who might experience the same.

The hotel itself is somewhat secluded in the forest area of Mystic/Groton, the lake view from the window is beautiful. The rooms are comfortable and well kept. Though the food is a bit pricey, it's worth it for the quality presented. The Mystic Marriott is great for a weekend getaway with your sweetheart, and being close to the Seaport, Aquarium, Downtown, and also Bluff Point State Park, there's no lack of things to do and to go see!

HORRIBLE. Booked a night for my wedding anniversary plus $500 in spa treatments, drove three hours only to get a phone message miles away and one hour before check-in that they overbooked my hotel and cancelled my room. Beyond livid. They did nothing to accommodate or even find me another hotel. A complete and total disgrace. ZERO STARS -- AVOID!

Modern rooms and amenities, the pool was large however the hot tub was not operational. Starbucks in the lobby is a plus and the concierge lounge for 6th floor guests was really nice and convenient

The start to our romantic weekend begins with me calling the front desk at around 7 or 8, and letting them we would be arriving late that evening because we are going to the Sugar Factory at FW. The associate says okay I'll add a note. Beautiful right? So we arrive and they say we don't have a reservation for the night. The associate says no problem... I'll get this fixed for you. Calls a supervisor or manager or more experienced person over... This guy immediately comes over WELL THEY DIDNT BOOK THE ROOM TONIGHT. I've never been to a hotel where they start off pretty much calling me a liar. I show him the email with my reservation for both days and tell him I spoke to an associate. He just takes no accountability of the issue. You would think he was paying me to stay there. Myself the booking agency and the original associate got everything resolved, and the manager then... Charges me a higher rate than my reservation. I decided to wait until I was checking out in case there were any other issues related to charges. Everything else was fine as charges go. Then we went to the spa which was amazing. The Octagon was also very good. The beds and pillows were very uncomfortable and the TV sucked. I'm not proof reading this please excuse any mistakes. I guess the manager is really what just completely tainted our experience from the first second I was there.

I visited the location for a conference. Very spacious meeting areas. Use of conference reception for attendees and customer service oriented staff were greatly appreciated. The images are if the conference spaces and exterior of the hotel and events.

This is a beautiful place to visit! We made a sleep over here when we were on the way to new hampshire, we really enjoyed it! Stunning rooms, with a big lobby to spend some time and they have excellent service! I suggest you to stay here you'll love it!

Good location. Not a fan of the renovations. Very cheesy, scaled down, bare bones decor. Walls thin, very noisy, had to ask for extra blankets which were supplied in years past. Little to no drawer space. Bed very low and mattress not as good.

The service in here is like no other hotel I have ever seen before. They really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. They even provided me and my fiance with a bottle of champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, and some roses so that my finace could surprise me after we got engaged and they even delivered it to the room and set everything up before we got back from where we were located so that after my fiance proposed everything could be perfect. I am truly grateful and will forever remember this hotel and their kindness and generosity. They didn't even charge us for the champagne or chocolate covered strawberries. This is definitely the place to stay if you are getting engaged or even married. And might I add that their spa is fantastic. They fit us in their schedule for the same day that we got there and they also really went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcome.

As a Marriott card holder, and frequent user for almost 20 years, my recent experience was the worst I have ever had at a Marriott property. Not only a lack of professionalism, but completely incompetent

My company messed up on booking one night instead of two.

I was told by the hotel desk that the hotel was booked, no rooms available. They told me management would work on it, and let me know.

The next morning, after not hearing from management, I went to the front desk. I was told management was in a meeting, and they would be in touch with me, but the hotel was full.

When I mentioned I could book a room on Expedia at the hotel for the night in question for $149. I was told those rooms are held out in case they get booked. I was then told I would have to vacate my room, for one with two beds instead of one. However, management would contact me.

Three hours later, I had to packed up my stuff, then move out of my room, and put my stuff in my car, as check out was 11.

An hour after this, as I had not heard from management, I went to the front desk and was told I was being put in the same room I just left. But the price would be $225 because the "hotel is almost full".

So, this is how a 20 year Marriott points /card holder is treated. I am rethinking my loyalty to Marriott.
