Myriad was a fun place to work. Made some great relationships with co-workers, account executives and supervisors. Flexible schedules and micro managing was limited which is always a plus! They just need to work on their parking situation, haha. Not nearly enough space for everyone. I enjoyed my time there and miss my team!

Seriously do not get your testing done here. Charged 2000$+ for a simple genetic testing. They were supposed to call me before checking the results to let me know what my copayment would be. Everything my genetics counselor told me they were supposed to do, they did not do. Do not get your testing done here.

I used to work here as a data tech, and the rude packaging supervisor, Jackie, would push people she didn't like into quitting. Horrible experience.

Look up the Yelp reviews for this establishment. Trying to get in touch with people can be a nightmare amongst other things. I sincerely urge any and everyone to do a little research before you go, especially if you're considering getting a test for a loved one.

We just received a bill, 6 months after supposed "service", for over 2000 dollars. What a joke! The health care industry is out of control, and this is a perfect example. Just when you think you are done paying for a tragedy, another greedy health care company shows their ugly face to kick us when we are down. Thank you for your "service". We never even received the test results! The only service received was a fat greedy hand in my wallet.

Had some confusion about billing issues but got terrific help from Tiffany in the billing department. People like her are the unsung heroes of great companies.

The same thing happened to me in which this has to be a fraudulent, scamming, rip off company to bill patients these outlandish bills for test. I was told by my doctor since cancer run in my family to do a genetic cancerous test and that most likely my insurance company will cover everything. That he never has a problem out of insurance companies taking care of the lab fees with Myriad genetic laboratories. He told me worse case scenario, I may owe a few hundred between $200.00-$300.00 (IF) they bill anything it may not be no more than that.
BUT . Expect my fees for the company to be covered since, I m with bcbs so when he told me that, I agreed! My doctor who is my obgyn Michael Perry called me last week to inform me that the test results came back negative, and I received letter from Myriad notifying me of the steps in getting tested with them. I looked at my claims online with my insurance company on 8-14-2017, and saw 3 outstanding claims that where DENIED with a total of $6,040.00 worth of lab fees which was CRAZY! Now how can genetic test even cost this much money ANYWHERE, and how are these people getting away with ripping patients off like this? I m totally confused at all of this, and it was my doctors responsibility to check my insurance coverage before they even submitted these test.
Nevertheless, I will NOT PAY NONE OF THESE FEES! I was told by Dr. Perry that, I wouldn t have to worry and my insurance will cover everything. I m reading all of these bad reviews on this company and it s obvious they have been doing this mess for years which is RIDICULOUS! Imagine the people that don t catch on or look at their bills etc! If I would ve known they would ve tried to play games and charge me like this, I wouldn t have NEVER EVER EVER took this test EVER! The test isn t even needed, and I only took it because my doctor told me it would be a good idea. Then after he re assured me I wouldn t have any worries about the cost of the test and would be covered I SAID WHY NOT! I ve complained with the BBB, and will be calling other people regarding this issue! THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE AND CRAZY!

I have to boast about this company, their honesty and integrity and overall goodness. I had a BRCA gene test done as breast cancer runs in my family. The BRCA test is a very important one for early screening but many don't get it due to the cost. It costs close to 5K. My insurance originally said that they would cover it. Come to find out that my insurance co. gave me inaccurate info. and said that I was responsible for the bill after the test was completed. I got the bill close to Christmas and was dreading how to come up with the $. Miraculously, after I spoke with Myriad on the phone, they told me that I wouldn't be charged a dime. Somehow there was a miscommunication between Myriad and my insurance and Myriad covered the entire thing as my insurance would not. That to me is a company that cares more about people than profit!

1990, Dr. Mary-Claire King discovered the human gene BRCA1 which is linked to breast cancer. Soon after, Myriad Genetics cloned and patented it. She was sent a cease-and-desist letter to stop researching it.

OMG! I Wished i would have read Reviews 1st! They did Exactly the same thing! A Janet called said payments no more than$5.00to$25.00! not even CLOSE TO THAT!! DON'T DO IT!
