I run a consultation firm and work with all sorts of folks out here in california. We teach everyone from medical cannabis growers to grandmas looking to improve their gardening knowledge. However it is rare you have interactions out here that are as positive as the one I had with these wonderful people. They allowed me to pick up rather than wait to ship, as is their protocol, since I was in a time crunch and actually allowed me to pick up my order from there little farm in person which I appreciated as I was in a huge hurry to get my order. They threw in samples and were just really helpful and nice. They will get my business from now on. I said at the beginning that they deserve community support, this company will cease to exist with out us as a community deciding to give our money back to our communities rather than to big businesses like homedepot or lowes. So you coukd start a huge garden for less than 20 bucks, go see them and keep our small businesses alive and well.

This year I am doing only SDSC for the cool season, bought online and at retailers. Love what these guys do and their mission. Product delivered quick and pricing is good.

Absolutely awesome! Online orders are processed quickly. Emails are responded to fast! Most importantly their seeds work. Have never had to worry if the seeds will sprout or not, they do. There's a great selection that changes with seasons and some nifty unique offerings. They have a points program and give a free seed packet with orders, really nice touches. This is my first stop for my seed needs.

It's my first time buying directly from the San Diego Seed Company. I bought a dozen different types of seeds and a shade cloth. They were very quick with processing the order and I received my order within a couple of days, just in time to cover my plants when the weather was above 90 degrees. The seed envelopes are informative on the planting and space requirements. I have purchased one seed packet from the store (white scallop squash). I planted it towards the end of the July indoors and transplanted in a about two weeks and one was planted outdoors on Aug 1st and it's growing so fast. The seeds are in great shape and obviously very healthy. I will continue to purchase from them. Just a heads up, they do have a limited amount of seeds, I was hoping to grow kohlrabi this winter but it was already sold out. Maybe there's an increase of demand due to the pandemic and everyone is gardening, but now I know to buy way in advance.

Location is hard to find and nestled in a residential area up a hill. It is very small and a fascinating place to learn about bioregional seed production and seed trialing. It s a private home and the best way to visit is by signing up for their private tours and classes. Check their Facebook as it is active with posts on their newest events. I am very happy to see what this local San Diego small seed company taking on big initiatives. Well done

These guys rock! I had grown some beans from seeds from the local big box store and they were pathetic... Unhealthy, poor color, few tiny beans. I read about this company and thought I'd give beans another go...17 out of 18 sown sprouted and grew big and tall and healthy and gave me many beans! When the wind blew them down I contacted the company for advice and they were helpful and responsive. If you want quality seeds that will do well in this region go with this company!

Update after 2 weeks:
Planted borage seeds, basil seeds and thaj chilli seeds. All tge planted seeds became seedlings in just two weeks. Thank you Sandiego seed company.... i planted corriander just couple of days back. Have to see when it blooms.

Highly recommend buying your seeds locally when possible, as the plants have been specifically bred for your area. Found all the cool weather veggie varieties that I was looking for, with speedy free shipping to boot.
