I opted for Ifleet/ Smart Service as it had one of the higher initial investment/ start- up costs, with minimal yearly costs, except when adding a new device (appx. $600)

Where to start.... Smart Service brands themselves as compatible with multiple platforms of QB, including online and network based platforms per their website, or at least this was the case last time I looked. Once we switched over to Right Networks to host QB the program never would sync going forward. For nearly five months I have had to hand input all invoices into QB, with neither company offering assistance. Jennifer and myself made several frustrating calls and it took well over a month to even get Smart Service to acknowledge we had made a call to complain. To this day we still have yet to have anyone get back in touch with us regarding a resolution to this problem. To add insult to injury, the book keeper asked me this past Friday if we wanted to renew our support, which I declined, but then sent a follow- up email stating if he could get the two programs sync'd then we would stay with Smart Service, I received no response. Interestingly enough, this week we are experiencing problems with the hand device not syncing to the program for the first time ever, but we can't fix it as there is no support without paying $350 for the year. We are in the process of switching to another software, and the first call I will be making is to Amex in an attempt to get my money back from this software.

I will also warn you that the bookkeeper informed me that if service or support is EVER needed down the road, all of the years missed would need to be back paid in order for you to get support at that time. For example, if you need help three years later, you have to back pay the two prior years you missed.

Smart service is a scheduling software that syncs perfectly with QuickBooks. QuickBooks being the accounting software which I have used for the last 18 years now seamlessly works with smart service to incorporate scheduling, planning, and follow up. The tech service at My Service Depot has been excellent. I have needed to reinstall due to a virus. and migrate my database due to a needed hardware upgrade and Kyle has performed these tasks flawlessly for me. Education and support from My Service Depot has been exemplary. I would highly recommend them as a resource for taking your business to the next level.

I have had my 2002 Subaru Outback serviced by Smart Subaru for the last 5 years. I have never had a problem to date with their service or repairs. I highly recommend the Mukilteo location to all Subaru owners.

Smart Service needs to do a better job of explaining their return policy. The only place I could find it was buried deep in the user agreement, which I suppose I should have read but who does. We paid $3700 for Smart Service and are only getting back $2500. Smart Service should stand behind their product with a better return policy.

Update: The COO of Smart Service just informed me that since I posted a negative review of their company and policies that we will only be getting a $1600.00 refund instead of the original $2500.00 offered. Great customer service.

Can't say enough good things about this team! They are propelling our franchise system into the 21st century, supporting us every step of the way. We love that they are a USA-based company and take a very hands-on approach to their service. You never feel alone or intimidated by the process of integrating operating software into your business model. On the contrary, it makes you feel like a million bucks!

Been with Smart Service for 3+ years now, and time to review the progress:

Positives:
1. They still have a strong customer service interface. All the associates are pleasant, down to earth, and speak/understand American English. Their tech support may not be able to take my call immediately but they do call me back in reasonable time. The first couple years wasn't always that way but they have improved tremendously in timely follow up.
2. The Smart Service program itself is highly user friendly, easy to learn and maintain. Being able to create/tailor your own reports to accommodate your specific needs of the company is a bonus for me. And if you need help creating one, they will help you.
3. If there are computer programming issues and you are not strongly technologically inclined to fix it as they walk you through it, they will remotely fix it and you can sit back and watch the fun as the curser moves and they whip through it efficiently.
4. IFleet. Enough said! They have worked out the bugs and made changes to their IFleet dispatch system, that has been close to flawless (really, it's technology so nothing ever is completely flawless)! Communication between our office base and my techs out in the field has increased significantly. and now it's offered with Android devices along with Apple products... very smart.
5. Of course the bottom line.... price for Smart Service install, maintenance, IFleet, etc is highly competitive with other service providers. The quality of the product you pay Smart Service for is outstanding, especially if you are a small business.

Negatives:
1. After-hours help (beyond 8:30am-5:30p) from tech support is still void.
Option to fix: Only way to possibly get this is by hiring non-American English people oversees OR by drop kicking Obama for supporting huge corporations instead of these smaller ones and helping them so they can hire people here in the U.S instead of oversees.
2. The program will drag or freeze and not work properly if other computer based systems are not working properly.
Option to fix: wait for their business hours and call Smart Service tech support and have them remotely come in and whip through and fix it (normally takes no more than 5 minutes for them to do it verses taking me 2 hours to figure it out).
3. The Job Status feature doesn't sync with Quick Books.
Option to fix: Perhaps they need to change the job status choice terms to match Quick Book terms (QB terms: None, Pending, Awarded, In Progress, Closed, Not Awarded).

So I summarize Smart Service as being user friendly, with normal technology hiccups that they are continuously evolving in cuz let's face it, we don't expect perfection from programs but we do highly scrutinize customer service and what they bring to the table... Keep up the improvements, Smart Service! You have an excellent product!

We are a brand new client for My Service Depot. I was a little bit nervous when we first subscribed, but the tech support, and training staff has been excellent. I was only about a day from setup to deployment and I did most of it without the need for support. Our techs find the user interface friendly, and the interchange with quickbooks works well. I have used the tech support and training team mostly for refining workflows. It has cut our billing time in half. Very happy with this investment.

We have been using Smart Service for 3 years plus, it has been a horrible experience. They recently did an update and now want to charge our company to rebuild the reports we already paid them once to build. The new update was also horrible, they changed things that make no sense at all.. We are changing to a new dispatch service and would tell you to keep shopping.. There are better companies to choose from!
