I opted for Ifleet/ Smart Service as it had one of the higher initial investment/ start- up costs, with minimal yearly costs, except when adding a new device (appx. $600)
Where to start.... Smart Service brands themselves as compatible with multiple platforms of QB, including online and network based platforms per their website, or at least this was the case last time I looked. Once we switched over to Right Networks to host QB the program never would sync going forward. For nearly five months I have had to hand input all invoices into QB, with neither company offering assistance. Jennifer and myself made several frustrating calls and it took well over a month to even get Smart Service to acknowledge we had made a call to complain. To this day we still have yet to have anyone get back in touch with us regarding a resolution to this problem. To add insult to injury, the book keeper asked me this past Friday if we wanted to renew our support, which I declined, but then sent a follow- up email stating if he could get the two programs sync'd then we would stay with Smart Service, I received no response. Interestingly enough, this week we are experiencing problems with the hand device not syncing to the program for the first time ever, but we can't fix it as there is no support without paying $350 for the year. We are in the process of switching to another software, and the first call I will be making is to Amex in an attempt to get my money back from this software.
I will also warn you that the bookkeeper informed me that if service or support is EVER needed down the road, all of the years missed would need to be back paid in order for you to get support at that time. For example, if you need help three years later, you have to back pay the two prior years you missed.
