It was 6am, cold. The tuck-tuck man did not like that I only wanted to give him 450 rupees, instead for his suggestion of 500 rupees for the journey (my plan is always to barter him down then use the discount as a tip).

We arrived, the security were surly, I thought it must be the time, I have since realised all airport security have this disposition.

Upon entering I have realised nothing of note about this airport. It exists, planes come and go, there's food I think and some tut you can buy. The departure board isnt great, it says when planes have gone but not arrived. But it is switched on, it's not broke it's just not doing the typical job of departure board.

Great services and interior design. pleasant atmosphere no too crowded (inside). gets too crowded outside, no means of crowd controlling infrastructure and safe and comforts outside for visitors.
horrible design of maneuvering area making many flights late causing late schedules.
a new heavy supporting Runway 09-27 would be great. also will get more tourist attraction

Well maintained and hygienic Airport with friendly staffs. The International and Domestic Terminals are not close by. It's not exactly marked in the Maps. Posses a greater parking space. Close to the beach and Trivandrum City makes it much easier for access and views.

Trivandrum International Airport (IATA: TRV, ICAO: VOTV) is an international airport which primarily serve the cities of Trivandrum, Nagercoil, Kanyakumari and Kollam. It is the first airport in the state of Kerala, India. It was the fifth international airport of India declared by then Prime Minister of India, V. P. The Trivandrum International (TRV) airport terminal is approximately 3.7 km (2.3 mi) due west from the city centre,[4]16 km (9.9 mi) from Kovalam beach, 13 km (8.1 mi) from Technopark Thiruvananthapuram and 21 km (13 mi) from the under construction Vizhinjam International Seaport spread over an area of 700 acres (280 ha). There should be arrangements for hot water in all washrooms, House keeping in the washroom rooms should have been monitored adequately. Please find out the reasoning for charging a cup of tea Rs. 150.00 and a chicken sandwich Rs. 250.00 in passenger waiting area.!!!!!!

Neat and clean place!! enjoyed the airport while waiting to board the plane. Ample amount of seating area, a good shopping arcade and a good view of the drive way .. thats good enough for a traveller to spend a hour or two before boardig the flight.

It's a good airport but nothing extra ordinary. The main con is that they themselves don't provide WiFi in the airport which is a basic necessity these days. Free WiFi networks available are all those given by few network operators like Vodafone and Airtel. They require you to provide an Indian number where they would sent you an OTP. Only on OTP verification you'll be able to connect to internet. This is the same setup which is implemented in Indian railway stations. It's good for a railway station but not for an international airport where travellers from across the world come and they wouldn't have an Indian number with them.

good neat airport. But the approach road is pathetic. It does not befit an international airport. Approaching the Trivandrum Intl Aiport one will be mistaken if one if being taken to a third rate airport. Cant the Airport authorities take responsibility and get a decent approach road???

One of the oldest airports in South India. The Domestic(T1) and International(T2) Terminus are about 2.5km apart by road. Air India Flights, and all international flights depart from T2. Kindly confirm the terminal before your arrival. It cans spare a last minute run. T2 is approachable from the NH Bypass Road from Chacka, while entrance of T1 is seaside, near Sanghumugham Beach.

Best airport in kerala. Infrastructure is very nice. Security and all are very active all time. All facilities are available here. Free wifi is also available. Parking lot is also fine. This is a big airport. The compound outside the airport is also very huge and also beautiful to see. If stand in the bridge road we can see flights takeoff and all. Also, we can see passengers inside because of the glass like infrastructure. Toliet and walking areas are also properly maintained.Totally, it is an attravtive and awesome one.
