Music Outlet Review

Such a great store and friendly staff. We traveled to Tennessee from Ohio on vacation and my daughter wanted nothing but to buy a new guitar with her birthday money. We had been to multiple guitar stores in Memphis and Nashville and she just didn't find anything she loved. When we got to sevierville, we looked up guitar stores and didn't even see Music Outlet on the Google search, we were headed to another store when we drove by and saw it. We pulled a uturn and so glad we did. The young man came over and asked what we were looking for and then spoke directly to my daughter and showed her several options. He grabbed each one and played it to show her the different sounds. He was so patient with her and she found just what she wanted.
Such a great store with a great selection and pricing. As a business owner myself, I always try to shop local. Thank you!!

Overpriced, with a subpar collection. extremely disorganized, I could barely walk around without tripping over things. seemed like nice people, but that was a terrible store.

Great people to buy from. They have a great selection. Priced accordingly. Martin guitars, Gibson guitars, Banjos, Mandolins. Fiddles, Violins, they got all kinds of good deals.

I have never seen as many stringed instruments in one place. We went in to look at a starter ukulele and were treated really well. The salesman took time to explain everything without making us feel stupid or like we were a bother.

Paradise! Lots of guitars, electric guitars, bass guitars, ukes, keyboards and amps and electronics. Prices not bad. Martin, Gibson, Taylor, Yamaha, fender, and several other brands. Wish we drove a truck and were rich. Would have bought several things here. Planning to go back next trip. Staff also very helpful, laid back and not trying to sell you something you don't want.

Nothing like a locally owned, non chain music store. Support these guys!!!

Lots of interesting musical instruments but needs to be organized a lil bit.....hard to get in the place, so much stuff everywhere!

Store is a jumbled mess, but the selection and price is decent. They've been in business for a LONG time. I didn't see any percussion equipment, which is sad since I got my first drum kit here about 15 years ago.

Great fun! Deep selection and truly knowledgeable and caring employees there. Fun interaction with other customers as well. Also Music Outlet has taken leadership role is helping fellow east Tennesseans affected by last November's tragic fires. My daughter and I have been to the store 3 times now as daddy-daughter dates, and it's been great!

These guys are great ,very friendly and helpful,great musicians ,bought a ukelele. Beautiful instrument ,"thank you Grace Vaderwall for saving the wonderful instrument for the ruination from tiny Tim ,tip toeing through the tulips" I'll be back to see them agian from KC MO.

Consigning a piece there, they wrote me a very small check; and refused to show me a bill of sale to verify they only kept 20%

Wonderful place! My friend and I spent 3 hours here and didn't realize it, lol. They were so helpful and know what they are talking about. I bought my first fiddle here, they let me try one and I totally fell in love with it. They were so helpful and full of patience for all our questions. We never felt pressured to purchase anything. My friend bought a second giutar, he is blind and they gave him wonderful service, and talked directly to him, they didn't feel awkward giving attention to a blind person. Most people talk to me and ignore him but this place didn't, I thank you for that... I highly recommend this shop. The feel of the shop was wonderful, sounds of insterments filled the air with people trying then out. the smell of instruments, the selection of old and new instruments was amazing! the owner the workers were outstanding. I wish we didn't live outta state we would definitely spend a lot of time here thanks

Great personal service! A good variety of musical instruments & supplies.

They have every thing you can think of and then some.

The selection in this place is amazing. Some of the salesmen are very helpful but others are somewhat patronizing in the way they over explain basic concepts of an instrument. Also if you don't look like you listen to anything but gospel or Kenny Chesney don't expect the owners to give you too much time.

Staff is helpful and knowledgeable, and the selection is stellar.

Cool place to go, and lots to choose from, but it's pretty cluttered in there. Many of the instruments in there are far overpriced, with nobody (at the time, it may depend on the employee) willing to haggle. I've personally seen the same worn out Gibson guitar in there for AT LEAST a couple of years. And they don't do trades, they only sell on consignment, which threw me for quite a loop, especially in the biggest musical state (and music store in the area) of them all.

They worked on my husband's Martin in record time and you couldn't beat the price. Very friendly staff and wonderful selection. These people know what they are doing!

I needed a high quality custom banjo strap and out of all of the places I found one, guitar outlet was the spot!

Not only did I pick my leather but the color combination and stamping was done on site.

Really great staff i needed a pack of strings while i was on my way home. I didnt realize they closed at 6:00 pm. I pulled on the door at 6:05 and as i was walking back to my car a member of the staff opened the door and asked what i needed. Long story short i walked out with a pack of strings. Great place good people.

Good bluegrass store. Some modern electrics, but few mid-priced guitars. Either cheap entry level, or very expensive high end stuff... not the place for $700-$2,000 rockers...

Never in my life have I seen such a massive collection of everything modern music. Sound equipment, guitars, basses (electric, acoustic, and stand-up), keyboards and pianos, and all the accessories for all of them. From what I saw the pricing wasn't half bad either.

My only complaint is that it's a bit of a mess; nothing is in danger of being damaged, but it could stand to be a little bit tidier, especially the upstairs where the stand-up basses are kept.

No drums. not much of a music store without those. Why is it that the locally owned stores never carry anything than a bad selection of sticks? I hate Guitar Center and other corporate owned music stores, but my hand is kinda forced when they don t carry anything useful.

Great selection of guitars from the look I had while I went in. Forgot my pick back at home so went in here. Walked out with 3 total because I couldn't decide between them. Staff was helpful and cheerful.

Had some cool stuff in this store but it really needs to be straightened up so you can at least walk thru it without having to step over things.

Worst place ever!! They've always been a dirty messy place can barely walk through there. The staff have always been snotty and rude to their local customers who shopped their for years. Don't go in expected to browse or try anything out. They will follow and bug you till you leave!!! Trust us drive to Knoxville to Guitar Center it's worth the drive!!!

I love this place. I bought my first Taylor 614 CEAB 25th Anniversary guitar there 20 years ago. Family owned and operated. Very friendly. Best prices on high end Taylors anywhere.

OMG! They have a little of everything, and i do mean EVERYTHING. I spent probly 5 minutes right inside the door, looking at instruments hanging when you enter and look up. Awesome music store.
