Started a custom build and brought it to these guys to help me with obtaining the parts, doing some wiring, alignment, intonation, etc. and I definitely made the right choice. I've played it for over a year and it has been my best investment by far. Everyone who plays it falls in love. Huge thanks for the job well done. So easy to play and sounds so good. Also, the entire staff worked together to help answer any questions, find the parts I needed, and give me their advice and shared experience with products and their honest opinions. Good selection of guitars and basses but barely any other instrument. The place is not very well kept, instruments and trash everywhere this place used to be a lot better.

Whenever we are in the area on vacation we always stop. I have bought several instruments over the past 20 years from these folks. They are very knowledgeable and very helpful. I would definitely recommend going to see them if you're in the area and are looking for an instrument.

This place is amazing. Is it a completely disorganized, dark, and messy place? Yes, yes it is. I actually used the the flashlight on my phone to see things. However, they have a great assortment of both high and mid-range guitars, Banjo s, and mandolins.

Place is full of equipment but is a bit of a mess and seems disorganized.

My brother loves playing guitar and was here a couple days ago. We were leaving to go back home from pigeon forge and he started crying because he couldn't come back here to play guitar. So now we're here letting him play guitar. Staff members will help you play the banjo and other instruments. A little messy but what musician isn't messy?

Some great things in this store, although the associate I spoke to knew very little about the instruments I inquired about during my visit. The prices seem reasonable. The audio area seemed very unorganized and becareful where you walk their merchandise makes the walkways very difficult.

Handy place for music, guitars, sheet music, etc...not much on pianos though. Still worth a visit if you are a musician, especially if you are a guitarist. Pretty knowledgeable staff as well.

Around 2001, my family and I made a trip to Gatlinburg. I had been playing guitar in a band since I was 12. I had used all kinds of guitars, but my 16 year old heart was set on a Gibson Les Paul. I mowed yards for two summers saving up, including asking for money for my Birthday and Christmas...all going toward the guitar. When I had saved up enough, I headed back to The Music Outlet. The staff let me play a few of the guitars, and I finally settled on a 1960 reissue honeyburst Les Paul. I showed the guy the one I wanted and he said, "Great! Come with me." He took me upstairs (which was a total mess, with boxes everywhere). He took me to a stack of boxes along the wall, and started opening them up. He pulled out 10 different guitars like the one I wanted! Each with different wood designs and of course, sound. He let me pick out the ones that I liked the looks of, then hooked them up to the exact amp I had back home. I found the type of guitar I wanted, and was able to pick from many of the same ones, so I was able to find one that I loved. Then when it came time to check out, they beat the lowest price that I had seen on the internet! These guys are great and almost 10 years later I'm still playing that great guitar. When you see a review that these guys have a great selection, they're just talking about what you can see! Ask, they probably have it! Check 'em out!

Stayed in Pigeon Forge a few days this spring and decided to stop by and look around. A lot of inventory and some very helpful people working there. Ended up buying an acoustic Eastman from them. Was a great experience, and will stop in again when I am back this way. Really enjoyed talking with Pat Corn. Would take some lessons from him if I lived close.

Well if you're a music bug you have to stop in this place I've never seen such a great selection of instruments. Both vintage and new knowledgeable staff friendly super prices better than online!

A little difficult to navigate and could use a little organization, but overall a nice establishment. They cater you percussion and string instruments. If your hoping for woodwind or brass you'll need to look elsewhere

A rare gem of a music store!

I have driven past Music Outlet many times on my way to and from Pigeon Forge and one day we decided to go in, and I am glad I did!

It's a well stocked store with lots of high end instruments available. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The reason for my visit was I needed a soft case for my 3/4 size Yamaha classical guitar. I am pleased to say that had one that fitted perfectly!

If you love guitars, you must see this place. Friendly owners, good prices, and expert advice. They have old Gibson's, new Taylor's, Martin's, fender, Gibson, epiphone, and yamaha. Bluegrass instruments too!

This place has a very diverse selection in music instruments. I was coming from SC, so I definitely was surprised by what was there. I bought some strings for my baritone ukulele, but was lucky to try out a few of the instruments I knew how to play. If I come back to TN, I would like to stop by again.

As a Knoxville native, and Pianist I always love going to music stores and browsing at all of the inventory. I sat down at some of there used digital pianos and really enjoyed playing on them. If you are looking for a nice used or new instruments, I would recommend this Music outlet!

So helpful and knowledgable in choosing an appropriate size guitar for my great Grandchild. I had ordered one on my own online that had an unfixable problem. They didn't try to sell me a new one. I chose to let them show me a tunable small guitar. Great info, great replacement of original.

Just walked in to kill some time on vacation and wow they have a fantastic selection and great prices. I live about 2 1/2 hours away and next time I do some trading I will make the drive it's worth it for the prices. Staff was great didn't care for me getting high end stuff off the wall myself and playing all I wanted. Highly recommend this place!
