Muscatine Power & Water Review

12 car lineup. In line forv40 minutes with 4 cars behind me.

Internet in my area has been on/off for almost a year now, when you call them about it they balme it on you

They run a monopoly on electric, internet and cable options in Muscatine. Their internet service is not reliable with outages on what seems to be a weekly basis and is not at the speed you pay for. Company is a scam!

I've had good customer service anytime I have needed anything. Their helpdesk is phenomenal, always works through issues. Since the fiber upgrade no issues with internet. TV service is expensive though.

Very horrible company!!!!! I have only had this companys internet service for 1 month and in that month it's been down 4 times!!!! Absolutely unacceptable. You charge me $70 a month for a service that does not work and it's only 50 gig speed. I was paying $60 for 200 gig speed with Charter before I moved here. I have better and faster internet service on my Sprint cell phone. That's just crazy. I should be refunded for all the time I could not use the internet. This is a ridiculous and appalling way to treat their customers. I will be writing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

Apparently I received a disconnect notice the day BEFORE my bill is due. I also am having to pay $20 to have this delivered to my house. (will the delivery person be given the $20?) interesting system.

Be very careful when dealing with this company!!!They in my opinion are dishonest/ corrupt at best. Unfortunately for people in the area they have no other options. I only have to deal with them for another year and that is too long, thank God I am not staying in this area.

I've been happy with my internet service until I recently. I looked at my bill to figure out why my bill was costing as much as it was only to find out they increased my service to a higher speed when I told them I was happy with the speed I was at at didn't want to go to the higher speed. That kind of slimy business completely ruins any positives I would have to say about a company.

Great local service. Help desk is skilled and professional.

The reliability of their electric utility is quite underrated. Good help desk experiences whenever I call - communication issues can be frustrating from time to time though.

I don't even live there anymore and they are charging me. I closed the account.

Internet service is horrible! It constantly goes down, and I have to reset my router multiple times a day. Customer service is not any better. In fact their number was disconnected last time I tried to call. I asked for up dated cables via email, and they won t do it because I didn t call. This business is a monopoly in this town even though I m pretty sure that s illegal. Really reflects poorly on the the town and shines a lite on the legal side or gang of this town.

So mpw although a nuisance because we only have the one choice for cable in the area, but they aren t too bad. They do have an watch tv everywhere feature and as long as you re inside the machlink network you can watch it but if you aren t like for example I work in Iowa city so it truly isn t watch tv everywhere so don t call it everywhere it s quite deceiving!!!!!!

Goes down all the time and even when it's working it's inconsistent at best.

The internet network is consistently down and when I deal with customer service I am frequently given the run around or the buck is passed if I could give no stars I would seriously not happy with their ideas of service or services

Apparently they are unaware of the recent rain and went through our backyard leaving tire tracks and small trenches. Looks like they were joy riding! They also left the cable sticking straight out of the ground. They have a monopoly in the area with regards to internet and power options so I guess they don t need to worry about customer satisfaction!

The worst at customer service, when their services are not working they always try to blame it on you (if it was working I wouldn t be calling you), and when they finally send some one out, surprise! It s not you it s them. Spent 5 years complaining about how slow the internet was only to find out that they left a part on the end of our line that was filtering down our connection. It s B.S. that we can t have other providers because of them. Is that even legal?

Muscatine power and water thinks they can break the law because they are a power company

Waited over an hour in line to get my ONT fiber box. The box they originally said would already be at my house.

We need more options in this town.They are ridiculously overpriced and even charge you $20 for an employee to place a note on your door.
