One of the places in Paris that we did not expect. A great building and a sensational exhibition. We recommend it very much.
One of my favourite museums in Paris. Amazing masks, sculptures and other objects from Africa, Americas, Asia and Oceania. Many special events are organised there. Beautiful garden with amazing lights. It's possible to forget that you are in a busy city when you are there.
This museum fills a huge gap in these art forms. Prepare to do some reading to understand the context or certainly rent the tour
Very very beautiful museum, Go there without hesitation
Not crowded, extremely well curated collection of indigenous art. Architecture is quite stunning. Worth a visit as a part of Paris museum pass especially.
Loved the museum! An amazing experience in Paris not far from the eiffel tour.
As usual. Museum with temporary exhibitions always interesting and well done. We explore not only with the eyes, the touch and the hearing are also solicited. Friendly and friendly staff.
I particularly appreciate when works such as short films, music ... are exposed.
The explanations are always there in number.
It is a cultural center, very educational, each window has an explanatory, detailed and precise commentary. You can walk there for as long as you want, in a generous space surrounded by interested visitors.
It is a really nice art museum in Paris that's not too crowded! And there is so much to see that you can pass literally hours on end in it!
Beautiful museum. Would recommend at least an hour or so to go through it all.
Very amazing museum. A place where every tourist should go.
A wonderful museum that draws people into different timelines.
Sensational building by Jean Nouvel, which serves as a stage for the exhibition of tribal arts from other continents, non-European. I visited it coinciding with 2 interesting temporary exhibitions, one about Oceania and the other about Japanese bamboo art. The permanent collection distributed along the building-viaduct that develops on a magnificent garden near the Seine, is organized by continents and deserves a more leisurely visit than I had on this occasion. Dedicate not less than 3 hours to visit this wonderful museum, by content and continent (it can be a word game ...). The entrance fee for the permanent exhibition is 10, the combined one, including the temporary exhibitions, 12. The museum shop, also very interesting, gathers multiple gift ideas on the theme of it.
Huge and amazing museum where one should not look at his watch as if we want to see it all, you will spend many hours. Extraordinary. To do and redo.
An amazing space. We spent hours inside and we'd like to return for more. You can learn about many cultures of the world in diverse and engaging ways.
I loved! Seen only 30% of the collections in 3 hours of visit ... I return there as soon as possible. Take the audioguide (5 ), his comments are excellent ...
A most wonderful and wondrous museum. So many artifacts and commentary on indigenous people and their lives.
I will go back again as so much to absorb.
Very impressive collection, art that we are not used to seeing!
Great museum. Architecture is from Jean Nouvel and very nice. The permanent exhibition is awesome with extraordinary Handmaid ethnic art. Temporary exhibitions are often great as well
A museum where you have the space to admire the works and where the presentation is intelligent. The current exhibition on the gaze is magnificent! A fresh look at other territories!
It is quite a different and modern museum in Paris compared to the others. Good collection, worth your time.
Fantastic, the visit is highly recommended, especially that of the permanent exhibition. To enjoy the entire exhibition you need the whole day.
Beatiful gardens and sometimes there is live music!
The collections are fascinating but the museum is a bit dense.
I have come several times with my children, workshops, guided and free tours, and each time we can discover something new. I recommend.
Temporary exhibitions are fine as are permanent exhibitions
A magnificent museum to the glory of works of art too long unknown.
Very nice museum and beautiful pieces of the permanent exhibition, however there is little explanation on some works.
The collection is interesting but we quickly go around it and too many things that look alike
Visited following the death of Jacques Chirac (thank you Mr. President). Magnificent museum, both by its architecture and the beauty of its primary arts collection.
I had heard of this museum but never visited
It was an enchantment
Extraordinary museum
Extensive collection of indigenous art from Oceania
Beautiful breath taking exhibits!!!! A walk from the beginning of Africa,Asia Oceania. Highly and thoroughly constructed and organized. Must see
Very good temporary exhibition, take advantage of it now, the museum is empty of visitors and tourists!
Magnificent !
I went there for the Hells and Ghosts of Asia exhibition ... play of light and twilight atmosphere ... all the conditions were in place to create the ideal atmosphere for an incredible visit!
The museum's permanent collection is also very interesting ... a real discovery trail and magnificent works!
The museum garden is also a great place to relax at the end of your visit!
Do not hesitate!
Nice modern architecture of one space museum. Nice savanna garden around museum. Interesting masks and sculptures collection from all around the world (apart Europe). Very interesting presentation.
The museum showcase was awesome. While was their meet the Ambassador from New Zealand. She was such a Beautiful a person and nice. Thanks for taking the time to talk with me.
Magnificent journey through civilizations and so-called primary art
Fantastic museum. Not to be missed. If this helped or you like this review, please give it a thumbs up. Thanks
I loved the visit with diverse works and a stroll through time and space ... to visit absolutely if you are going to Paris ... it's right next to the Eiffel Tower and you walk there with pleasure without getting tired and I almost forgot: the staff is very friendly and welcoming: well done :)
Museum of a wealth of unexpected objects .... a journey of extraordinary human creation.
The official name is the Museum of Keblanly-Jacques Chirac.
Certainly, the museum was built by the former French President Jacques Chirac.
The art museum in Paris is an image of paintings and sculptures, but it is a museum that comprehensively deals with folklore around the world.
Located right next to the Eiffel Tower, in the middle of Paris between the exclusive residential area and the Seine River, the grounds are full of nature like the Amazon forest and the African savanna.
Here, the armor and swords of Japan are displayed in a creepy manner, while holding the chieftains of Africa, Oceania, the Americas, and famous places.
There is also a museum shop, please drop by. A collection of world folk crafts and folklore books.
I got an overview book of Keblanly and a book of Madam collectors published by the museum.
I was trying to settle one of the books with a French version, and the clerk explained that there was an English version. Language needs attention.
The English-Japanese dictionary will be drawn and the perusal period will begin.
I loved it, lots of things to discover but very long, 2h30 visit minimum. Not recommended for young children given the time spent in the aisles
Super interesting for those who are interested in different civilizations.
Beautiful museum, worth it for a whole afternoon just to stroll through all the collections. Feels just like a round the world trip
Great, very welcoming museum, very clean, soothing, pleasantly arranged and peaceful.
Children will enjoy it and the treasure hunts planned (Morocco and Greenland) allow children (from 3 and a half for our part) to take advantage of the visit and the work done by the museum's teams to discover the jewels presented!
Exciting !
These exhibitions would require contextual understanding, but there are almost no English descriptions. Staff was extremely reluctant to feedback on this matter.
Very beautiful places of African culture and the person who introduced us to the speaker was very adorable, who knew her subject well
Beautiful museum, the very rich part of Africa, Asia and the Americas could be more complete.
A magnificent museum, a lot to see, you have to take your time ^^ I went there several times, my mother loves it. There is always something to discover. Between the permanent rooms and the others.
The garden is nice, the souvenir shop to see too.
A break from calm in the heart of Paris.
Beautiful setting with a real little park around and under the building, protected from the noise of the road by a high transparent partition. Beautiful work highlighting the pieces exhibited by various light effects.
Superb museum of civilizations and non-western arts in a beautiful building with a modern look. Most of the works are in the dark, an intimate atmosphere is created to highlight the collections. A nice outdoor garden surrounds the museum. A beautiful place that will make you travel to the 4 corners of the world.
I was dying to see the museum
Unfortunately, it was closed: /
The important thing is that I recommend a visit because of what I heard about
The permanent collection is to be seen and reviewed because immersion in the different cultures of the world does not only happen in 5 hours of visit.
Temporary exhibitions are often very well chosen, we feel that the museum management is actively working to offer good new experiences.
Singular architecture even before entering the museum. Large, pleasant spaces. Ethnic exhibitions that make you travel.
Excellent visit, to do again without hesitation with young and old!
Museum of primitive arts or the arts and civilizations of Africa, Asia, Oceania and the Americas.
Light and penumbra predominate in the internal environment and become fundamental to enhance the presence of the exhibited works. It is highly suggestive. Inside there is also a small shop with books and go for objects / souvenirs. I recommend to carefully admire the museum.
Tranquil gardens for free, museum seems calm and peaceful as well
Magnificent museum around primitive but nevertheless living cultures. A magnificent permanent exhibition and temporary exhibitions always very well done. We want more.
I really liked this museum. There's so much stuff to decent and it's layout is good. Stumbled on it whilst looking for something else and spent a good 4 hours in there. Had a reduced ticket due my age, showed ID when I bought the ticket and then had to show it again for the exhibition entrance and then again at the entrance to the main collection. I will note that some things are only in French.
Great museum. More about art than ethnographic. Definitely a visit. The audio guide is better to take in English, the Russian language is almost empty, there is little information.
A cultural Mecca where you can discover magnificent collections of antiques from all continents and cultures! The fun aspect of this museum is very well thought out
A modern museum, very nice architecture and beautiful collections. Worth visiting to admire the everlasting beauty of pieces coming from all around the world and various periods.
A totally cool museum that I honestly almost didn't go to. It is a different approach to a museum....you get to just experience the items rather than be force fed information about each individual piece. And they have an Easter Island head.
One of the most beautiful museum, a lot of emotion in front of all these wonders. To review without moderation
We made a county visit with our little girl. A wonderful way to discover the works of the museum. I admit that the circuit inside is a bit complicated with few direction indications. Otherwise it was really very interesting and enriching.
Extraordinary collection. Exceptional presentation. It was like being in a different world. I wish the Smithsonian curators learned from the French how to present their collection.
A journey through 5 continents with an overview of ritual customs and way of life in a distant time
This is very beautiful museum, with rare pieces difficult to see elsewhere.
Also, this is very close to Eiffel Tower, and Rue de l'Exposition street,
where many galleries are located.
This is a good choice.
Great museum! The building itself is very modern. A lot of art from all over the world, mostly wooden carved, showing the tradition of each place. We can see quite a lot of sexual influence in the vision of the artists. On your way out, check out the lovely outdoor gardens!
