Expect a lot of people. Masks mandatory. Buy tickets in advance for shorter waiting times. Stunning collection in many different fields. You can spend days here.
Expect a long queue to take a picture of Mona Lisa.

I know it's weird writing this review a year after having seen it but honestly it was a bit dull. it was extremely tiring walking through the wall of the Halls. Many of the hyped-up paintings didn't really live up to what they were talked about (the Mona Lisa) and the tour guide we got had a tough time speaking English although I don't really blame her for this.

This might just come down to Personal Taste but I didn't fully enjoy my time at the Louvre as much as I could have. I still recommend it though to anyone who really likes art.

Louvre is great place to visit. You get to experience so many background of the world and other continents. It is great to experience the culture. The Egypt one was particularly very interesting. While many of the sculpture were said to be replicate of the real versions but it was still amazing to experience that. The line was fairly quick compare to other places. Took many great pictures and spent more than 3 hours in there. Get ready to be impressed.

The museum is pretty big and interesting but there are 2 down points. First, the entire second floor is closed, and they do not say why. Second, most of the museum is one way making it hard to get around. But other than that, safety measures are in place. The Mona Lisa is open, but is a bit overcrowded as well! Beware of pickpockets if the room is crowded.

Our tour of the Louvre was amazing! We were left speechless and we will remember this for ever. I can offer a tip: the Mona Lisa is, no doubt beautiful but she isn't the only amazing art work over there so don't aim just for here, take some time to sit in front of a big beautiful painting and enjoy the details and the fine craftsmanship

A top 5 place to visit in Paris. Do not come here thinking the Mona Lisa is the only thing to see. The museum is packed full of amazing and historic art and sculptures from all over the world. You could spend all day in here, but giving about 3-4 hours to explore would be ideal. Read up on some of the art before you go because it will help to deepen your appreciation for this place beyond it just holding Mona.

The museum is too big to be covered in a day. Best is to buy an online ticket with the option of an audio guide to help urself and learn more about the paintings. The entry for European kids till age of 12 and adults till 26 have free entry. On National day of France, museum is free and open for all people.

This is something that is breathtaking. Brace through the security line as they get long, but as soon as you re inside it is worth everything. The museum inside is huge and so much history it s unreliable. Those buildings surrounding the louvre pyramid is the actual museum so there is a lot from Roman, Egyptian, Greek you name tons on display. Bathrooms and eatery and it s connected to a mall too , place is massive.

World class museum. great time, I would advise getting the advanced tickets or registering your time so you can avoid a lengthy check in process. The exhibits were amazing and I loved the Egyptian and Roman works. The Louvre is a treasure that everyone should view

Louvre Museum is beautiful, I loved outside more. You can get this view for free. Inside is so ugly that I regret entering. Also, Paris is so overrated. Because of overpromotion, people get to see the lies ultimately when they get there. You can say once you traveled Paris. That's all. Nothing else will stay in your memory, because nothing is memorable. Everything is so dusty, unclean and unorganized to stay in your mind for long.

If you still ask me if you should travel Paris, I would tell you go there. Its historical. That's a point.

Beautiful museum, lot of different epochs and styles. If you're planning on going just for a day, make your own little tour of your "must see" works because museum is just too big to see everything in one day.

Amazing and beautiful. A must see but you would need to spend at least four hours here to see everything. There are lockers to put your stuff away under both sides of the restrooms before taking the escalator up to start your visit. I would arrive early because the line gets very long though it moves fast. I paid for a skip the line tour by entering next to the small arc stairway. Mona Lisa has a long line so expect to wait to see her or go along the exit line if you don't feel like waiting

Just an amazing opportunity! I am so glad that I was able to get into and seeing all of this beautiful artwork! And the old castle infrastructure is downright mind blowing! If you ever get the chance, then you must go!

This is what we wanted to see! Should've visited in the morning, we started in mid of the day. Also, there are lots of good paintings and sculpture which belongs to different civilizations... There are multiple entries and exits, doesn't have a proper way to go through from my experience. I would go through the things which interests.. like Egyptian scriptures... Paintings etc...

It s magic feeling when visiting in the morning and seeing the court all empty. We had a wonderful time both inside and outside the the museum. However, later during the day it gets very crowded and I feel like the security does not manage the crowds well.

Absolutely in love with this place. It is huge so I would recommend spending a day or two if you really wanna go through everything. wasn't too crowded overall except around the Mona Lisa where it was a stampede. There is something for everyone here, it ranges in different time periods and art forms. It surpasses anything we have in Canada in terms of an art museum. They have cute gift shops all around which is convenient. I came from Canada to visit and got the membership which I would recommend considering it was almost the same price as single admission and the line was shorter.

If you are visiting for the first time and you want to make the best out of your time, money and enjoyment this is the package you need to go for. If you like a tour, this one was good!

Mr Ferier, out tour guide, was fantastic, he presented all the interesting stories, facts, numbers, and anecdotes about the art pieces we saw.

He made it look like a movie, created a connection and a story while presenting everything.

After he finished we had the choice of exploring further the museum at our pace.

Amazing!

I am from Canada and i had very high expectations for the Louvre Museum, it was a childhood dream. The museum is very large, it houses many artifacts from various countries from around the world. I'm glad the price was cheaper than when i wanted to go in February. I expected way more. The line up outside despite purchasing our tickets online, was tolerable. The security was thorough. Insure you have good walking shoes before going.

Fantastic museum. You need quite a bit of time to see it all as we didn't manage to in a day.
Queue to get in was pretty big which was expected.
There are cloakrooms available with lockers which are free. Although good luck finding one during peak times. Do not take a big umbrella because you cannot take it in & instead they have these pretty strange umbrella locks which are terribly fiddly and most were broken.
The actual museum is a must visit during a trip to Paris! We really loved it. We saw the Mona Lisa which was great to see in the flesh.

This museum is truly amazing ! We did make the mistake of booking the last viewing of the day and we were asked to leave before we had seen everything. We never got to see the Egyptian area which was very frustrating. My advice is to book an earlier time slot to avoid disappointment.

The world's largest museum, I took a tour and the guide was amazing (her name was Claire), she added so much that from now on I will look for a guide when I go to a any large museum. one of the most important thing she said that it will take approximately 4 days to see all the art (if you take 10 second for each one). One last important thing is that the Mona Lisa line is very long and you get ~10 second to see it with 15-30 more people.

Visited during the 2020 Corona pandemic in July. Unfortunately the entire 3rd floor was closed off which disappointed me since I was eager to look at Renoir's paintings. The other floors luckily have plenty to offer.
