A beautiful place, where you can also have lunch on the terrace.
A beautiful place, where you can also have lunch on the terrace.
The collection is small, but there is something to see. Nice to stroll around the patio.
This very rich and lively "draped" exhibition, videos and paintings, valuable sculptures
A good museum of province ... Good some crusts of great painters history to say that they are there, but worth the detour for who comes on Lyon. Attention, no reduction teacher or elderly.
Beautiful museum, it can get very lively depending on the day.
Superb museum full of treasures
The masterpieces of the Galerie Peinture are not to be missed: Monet, Gaugin, Henri Martin, Sisley, Fantin Latour, Degas and many more
Antiques are very varied and fairly well established
Few people giving you the opportunity to fully enjoy
An exceptional place ...
When you get inside the museum you find yourself in a garden and you hear the birds singing, not a sound from the outside ...
As they say "zen attitude" !!
To visit and if you can also visit the museum ...
Excellent museum, time is required for your full tour, it is worth doing.
Beautiful, there is van Gogh, Picasso, Degas and others.
I love to stroll in the park and in the beautiful surroundings of the museum
This small art museum houses a good selection of fine classical pieces spanning multiple periods. Good place to be and stroll through on a weekend afternoon. The courtyard is a peaceful respite away from the bustle of the square, Place see Terreaux, directly outside.
Really nice museum. The ticket prices are very cheap. Highly recommend it.
Do not neglect the permanent collections, which present some beautiful pieces.
Very nice museum. But too big though. Allow at least two days to visit everything.
The exhibition on Frida Kahlo is flag-waved to the four winds ..... 12 euros and 3 paintings ..... I don't add anything else.
Very nice museum in the heart
from Lyon.
To see and see again!
Very nice collection. I loved impressionism, and the very nice courtyard with sculptures by Rodin where you can stop for a quiet break right in the city center and it's totally free.
Small flat for the aging lighting of the museum, many roasted lamps and tables tempered by poor lighting. some of them do not comply with the standards for good conversation tables I think, especially in the great room (old chapel?) Where the sun comes to lick some paintings ...
great little collections, but tired display cases and documentation
This place is intresting it's better if u start from the last floor if u like painting
The exhibition is superb. The works of art are breathtaking, it is beautiful. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. The architecture of the museum is splendid.
Enriching guided tours
A place of change of scenery for an escape of beauty and serenity
very nice museum that i recommend for a little cultural trip that lyon
Lyon is very interesting and historical. Lots to do.
I would like to greet the kindness of the staff who helped me find my wallet.
Not one word in English about the art, in the 21st century... are you serious?!
Museum with magnificent works of art. Several paintings by great masters. Varied and high quality temporary exhibitions. Indoor garden accessible for free and very quiet. Possibility to picnic under the arches, in the shelter.
One of the best places to visit if you love art and history.
We visited the exhibition Los modernista
Very interesting. The rest is also worth a look
A large collection of items from ancient Egypt. Fragments of tombs and mummies. Even perfume bottles made many thousands of years before Christ. Painting famous artists and a collection of weapons and stained glass. Coins of different countries and nations. We went there for about 4-5 hours. But this is not enough for true connoisseurs of museums. It seems to me that it is more interesting there than in the Louvre. In short, Lyon without visiting this museum is not Lyon))
Price ~ 12 euros.
The most beautiful museum of region with that of Grenoble.
Spectacular museum where contemplate art of all times. The museum is somewhat outdated and the information of the pieces is only in French. It has a large collection of paintings with authors such as: Renoir, Maner, Monet and Delacroix. Undoubtedly, it is his collection of Egyptian art, Greek and the sculpture section. It takes about two hours to go through all its rooms. It deserves a lot. Sorry to visit and spend a few hours.
Visit "express" of the museum because of a school trip but there are many rooms and themes. Beautiful works to discover in the company of guides.
The gardens of the Museum are ideal for all the little moments of relaxation ...
Very nice museum. With a very quiet interior garden
Booking compulsory on the internet before *, nightly on the 1st Friday of the month and free on the first Sunday of the month.
Apart from that, and the closing of the park in the courtyard.
RAS
At the Museum of Fine Arts, past the haven of the inner courtyard, beautiful rooms not too big with lots of interesting things.
Currently a beautiful exhibition on the Emperor Claudius, the only one born outside Roman territory, and therefore in Lugdunum.
Unique museum!
Good collections
A very complete museum and the Egypt section is wonderful
Very inexpensive, audioguide available on smartphone, beautiful collections.
Ah, what to say about this superbly magnificently majestic place, very well presented works and people listening to you temporary exhibitions full of imagination I totally recommend
Beautiful collection of sculptures. Tintoretto and titian paintings known all over the world!
great place
to do
Knows trait leases. The paintings are beautiful. No stones. Well done .
One of the richest museums of fine arts in France. The temporary exhibitions are always remarkable.
Visited during festival of lights and it was great experience
We arrived at 6, understanding museum was open until 7, and were not let in to any more exhibits after 6:30. This was not explained when we bought the tickets, but they did make sure to offer their disapproval of the US election. Very frustrating. The 2 exhibits we did see were fine though...
Very nice museum. Has been compared to the Louvre - which is far off. But still a very good visit.
Excellent museum with great sculptures and Egyptian collection
Beautiful, all the arts and times are very well represents
My favorite (and by far) museum in Lyon. Exhibitions always very interesting (Matisse, Los Modernos) free audio guide and available on smartphones / tablets (Izi.TRAVEL). Even the permanent collections are worth seeing. Small souvenir shop but with nice articles and interesting books!
A real detour to do. In front of the fountain in the renovated Place des Terreaux, a charming museum .. to see really .. their beautiful architecture and always a pleasure for the eyes and the soul
Very interesting collections in an beautiful and charming 17th century abbey. Beautiful court and the chapel with older elements was converted into a sculpture exhibition hall. Very impressive.
Pleasantly surprised: the building is beautiful and the collections are incredible. Plan an afternoon!
I had a great day the exhibits are just sublime.
But the only thing I missed was an audio guide. I think we had to add a supp
Always so rich and grandiose. A haven of peace, serenity in the middle of the city. Silence is golden. You will be able to discover many paintings by painters of the most famous sculptors. Then go through antiques, Egypt ect ... did you know that the Saint Pierre Museum is the second museum in France?
Very pleasant garden, very relaxing, and visit to the museum. A moment of well-being.
Super Picasso exhibition
Too bad the visit at 6 p.m. and the souvenir and documentary gallery closes at 6:45 p.m. and the rest of the permanent collections closes at 6 p.m. Also a pity when you are just passing through Lyon no indication when you reserve
I really liked this place. Very cool building, lots of meme art and famous artists and paintings wich cost allot and they have a room full of flowerpaimtings wich is super cool. This is a selection of some works. The entrance price is really cheap. Go there or not but i liked it and clean toilets.
Beautiful museum! An impressive background and a beautiful museography!
Very complete museum. From Egyptian art (with really interesting pieces) to post-impressionism. Calculate for 2-3 hours of first visit. Of course, you can also settle for a free tasting of the sculptures in the yard where there are some pieces by Rodin. You will find many of the great names in the history of painting but it is difficult to find an absolute masterpiece. The artists of Lio do not excel either. Among the medieval pieces are some Catalan works. Interesting murals by puvis de chavannes decorating the stairs
Beautiful building. Loved the sculpture gallery in particular. I was disappointed to see some of the labelling missing on the ceramic displays.
Very nice museum.
Sculptures and beautiful paintings.
The place itself is superb.
Indispensable in Lyon.
Amazing to see masterpieces of impressionism, for example, with almost no audience. A treasure discovered!
I have been going there 6 or 7 times (since my first visit 11 years ago) and from time to time we discover works see rooms (once I thought that the visit would never end lol). It's quite fascinating to see that even when you think you have seen everything and well no, you just have to come at a time when changes are made to have the impression of coming almost for the first time. It is a very beautiful place, I love it.
