These people know dogs. I have never had a nurse or even a vet take the time to get to know my boy and make him feel as comfortable as possible before the examined him. My standard poodle is very skittish around new people, but Dr. Kelly took her time so that Brody would feel comfortable with her. Every member of their staff clearly loves and appreciates every animal that walks through their doors. I'm so glad I moved to this neighborhood so my boy could have the best bet I could ask for.

This place has been very good to me and my pom baby Louie. He seems to like them too! I feel good knowing that these people are going to care for him like a member of their own family. All the staff have been knowledgeable and sincerely sweet.

I received way to many emails and spam after taking my dog to this clinic. I also felt that they tried to charge me the optimum amount with a lot of extras, and I had to be firm about getting what my dog needed without paying a lot of unnecessary costs.
We have gone to Mulnix for about 11 years. When one or another of our two cats needed immediate attention we got into the clinic if it was during business hours; if not, we went to CSU Veterinarian School emergency service -- a costly option. Diagnoses at Mulnix were correct, problem(s) solved. Dr. Thomas and Dr. Gaffney are competent, caring professionals. The vet techs and office staff respond immediately. We now have a rescue dog, and Mulnix is our clinic. Fort Collins has many choices for a veterinarian, and we had tried one prior to taking a chance on Mulnix. We are quite glad we made that decision.
Our poor Molly wasn t feeling well, so we needed to get her in ASAP. They had an open appointment the day we called, and the staff was very friendly and professional. They did tests and knew exactly what was wrong with her, gave us some antibiotics along with thorough information, and we were on our way within an hour. The bill summary was very clear and we weren t charged for random/unclear things that sometimes happen at other vets. Mulnix will definitely be our primary vet. Thanks for taking such good care of our baby!

Dr. Gaffney is an incredibly personable and honest vet. We've only had good experiences with our 3 dogs and all questions asked are discussed thoroughly. Prices are reasonable and all of the staff are always patient and loving towards our animals. Highly recommend!
We have been patients at Mulnix Animal Clinic for about 40 years. Everyone at the clinic has always been friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely concerned about us. Yes that includes my wife and I and all of our animals. There are more convenient vet locations closer to our home but we will never go anywhere but the Mulnix Animal Clinic.
We are relatively new to town and still seeking the best vet for our girls. We set an appointment at Mulnix based upon a recommendation from our equally dog crazy neighbors. We are pleasantly surprised at the friendliness of th staff. The clinic isn t fancy or flashy-they re focused on the pets and the pets don t care about paint colors. I m convinced the doc is truly in love with our German Shepherd. While this was a basic appointment we are optimistic that Mulnix will be our trusted vet going forward.

The staff here have been wonderful at accommodating our little one. We have another vet that has been seeing Anya (and that is wonderful too!) but Mulnix is very close to us. Anya needed to be weighed regularly and the Mulnix staff was so awesome at letting us come in to weigh her. They are kind and compassionate people.

Had a great experience at Mulnix. Highly recommend Dr. Gaffney. However, I feel like the techs shouldn't call themselves "nurses". The techs are still great though.
Mulnix Animal Clinic has been our "go to" clinic for several years, starting when Dr. John Mulnix was alive. His clinic and staff were always caring and thoughtful, and we completely depended on them for our entire family of dogs and cats. The clinic and staff are carrying on Dr. Mulnix legacy and we could not ask for anyone better to take care of our beloved animals!
Took my dog here to get his sutures removed because we couldn't get in to see his regular vet. Would definitely recommend this place. Staff is friendly, patient (my dog is touchy and kind of special needs), and overall pretty amazing. I can't say that I'm very trusting of other people when it comes to my dog but these guys are really good. Would definitely have them see him again.
They are a professional, caring clinic. We had to euthanize a loved cat, and they were kind, caring, and have us all the time we needed for the transition. I highly recommend this vet practice.
The doctors and all the staff are the best! They give excellent care to our dogs. When we lost our dog Isis they were there to give compassion. Dr Gaffney has the biggest heart and truly cares about the entire family. We thank everyone at the clinic.
My dog got really sick after they gave him two shots. I talked two another vet and they told me they would have never gave him the two shots at the same time. The reason is because my dog only weighs 5 lbs. I thought I was going to loose my dog. He was so sick.
I had to take my 2 year old torti in for a few health issues. The whole experience from the staff here was incredible. You could tell they truly cared about the well being of your pet, and were very thorough in explaining procedures and recommending which route to take when money is of a concern. Thankfully, she's doing much better now :)
While I love Dr Gaffney, the other dr seems more interested in making money. After dealing with my dogs having diarrhea for a month Had to call my daughter in San Francisco ( a veterinarian there) to find out what meds I needed . After telling them what I need , they reluctantly gave me the med andthe diarrhea is now cleared up. Will be taking my pets else where.
Mulnix provides excellent care to my kitties! I've been taking all of my pets there for years. The staff is friendly and I feel like they really know my pet. I always leave feeling like they truly care about the health and welfare of my kitties!
I absolutely love this vet clinic! The staff there is so nice, caring and professional. We took our 9 week old puppy here, it was amazing! When we walked in, we were greated by the sweetest woman who was the receptionist. Then the nurse/vet assistant guy was so great with our puppy, very nice and patient gentleman. We then saw Dr. Gaffney and just loved her, she is a fantastic veterinarian! She was so patient with us and our puppy. She answered all of our questions, and we had a lot of questions. They understand any situation that you have, and they are so caring and nice! I will be bringing our puppy back here, and I definitely recommend going to Mulnix Animal Clinic for any of your pet's medical needs. You won't be disappointed!

What happened to their customer service?? I have been a customer here for a couple of years now and it has never been anything short of excellent service until the last few weeks.
First I call roughly 6 weeks ago to set an appointment for one of my pups. Get everything scheduled. Roughly weeks back I get a call from one of the vet techs and his first line is "are you interested in still being our customer?"....i would hope we have a visit scheduled in just a few weeks. Granted we moved and did not list a change of address with them, still not a great line to lead off with.
2 weeks ago I get a another call asking about if we are going to schedule a visit.....its been set for a month or more.
4 days ago I get another asking to verify my visit and reason, its all fine. 1 day ago I get another call, I missed this one.
Day of appointment. I show up 5 minutes before as requested. Call 6 times, before my call goes through. Told someone will come out and get my pup in a couple of minutes after I tell them I am sitting on the hood of my car on front of the vet. Watch a male vet tech walk out right after that....and 20 yards away to a coffee shop. Then walk all the way back in to the vet. I get another call...same person as before. Asking to verify the reason for my visit and then go over a check list of my dog health. And ask where I am!!!! I have done this already!! Finally 25 minutes after the appointment that I made over six weeks ago was supposed to start someone comes out and gets my dog. Now let's what else happens.
Up to this point all of my negative experiences have been with one tech. The same one who called multiple times to verify/set up an appointment that was already verified and set. The same one who I spoke to this morning and then forgot about me.
Oh and also during this time I started getting spam texts from someone posing as mulnix with information about my dogs. I reported that as well, mulnix immediately jumped on the sitatuion and started handling it. Probably because I didn't speak to the person I have been having endless problems with.
This was our first visit and I was blown away by the environment and friendly staff. We received a warm welcome from each staff member and they really made my little guy feel comfortable. Dr. Kelly Gaffney was very patient, kind, knowledgeable and respectful during the examination. I left feeling peace that we received the proper care and were treated well. Thank you to all the staff members who make Mulnix the happy environment it is, we appreciate you!!
We visited Mulnix Animal Clinic for the first time today with our older, slightly nervous lab Norman. Everyone was so sweet and gentle with him. Dr. Gaffney had some great new ideas on how to manage his arthritic pain. I'm so grateful to have found this place. Thank you!
My best friend, a golden doodle named MoMo, died a couple weeks ago suddenly. Just received a card from Mulnix with words of encouragement and sympathy hand written by every member of the staff. These are the gestures that mean so much. Mulnix provides quality and loving care for furry family members. Their service to families goes above and beyond. Keep it up Mulnix!
We have been going to Mulnix for years and our dog Jack who was a puppy patient of Dr. Mulnix. Dr. Mulnix who was wonderful has since passed. Our new vet Dr. Gaffney is wonderful! She takes as much time as your pet and you need to feel comfortable, and figure out the right solutions. She and all of her staff are so personable and caring. Highly recommend!

We got our puppy a couple of months ago. At first we tried another Vet in the area but after they prescribed a large antibiotic to our, at the time 3 month old puppy, we decided to look elsewhere.
We decided to try the Mulnix Animal Clinic. The admin staff, techs and Vets (special shout-out to Dr. Gaffney) have provided A+ experiences each time we visit. Everyone is highly knowledgeable in Vet Medicine and truly loves what they do and it is felt by my wife and I. Great clinic, professional and friendly. Our cats are probably not terribly challenging, but if I had a difficult pet I would have no problem bringing it here because I think they would be able to work with just about anything. They use state-of-the-profession technology as needed, without getting into expensive "boutique" fads, which I'm seeing in other clinics and really don't like.
I ve been taking my cat to see Dr. Thomas at Mulnix for years and I would highly recommend her to anyone needing veterinary care. Her service is so personalized and compassionate. She is such a mindful and thorough doctor, I ve always fully trusted her. When the time came for me to put my sweet girl to rest, I insisted on Dr. Thomas. I wish I could give them six stars! Every single staff member that works here is amazing! Having just moved to Colorado from out of state, I was nervous about finding a vet for my 3 dogs, two of which can be skittish. The girls who work at the front desk were so nice to my dogs when they came in and helped me to get all of my dogs paperwork in order to get my dogs licensed. Every vet tech that has worked with my dogs were patient and took the time to make sure my dogs were comfortable. So far my dogs have only seen Dr. Gaffney, but she is amazing as well. She was also very patient with my dogs to make sure they were comfortable and you can tell she cares about each and every dog. Overall great experience that is stress free for my dogs. Highly recommend!

Moved to Fort Collins 2 years ago and did asked locals around town where best to take my 2 cats. Mulnix was suggested and I have been very happy with them. They take the time to speak with you, answer all your questions, call you with followups to make sure you pet is okay and don't make you feel rushed when you bring your pet in for an exam. They are very personable and I feel that my cats are getting excellent treatment and would definitely recommend this clinic.

The doctors, vet techs and office staff are highly skilled, personable with us and our dogs and compassionate in their care. They have met all our care from puppyhood, immunizations, through minor illnesses, cancer treatment and eventually end of life care as our dogs reached the end of the trail. Dr John Mulnix fostered his staff for many years in modern yet down to earth veterinary medicine. They treat and care for both pets and their owners!
The doctors and staff at Mulnix are caring, friendly and helpful. Our dog, Luci, has had terrible problems with allergies. She was miserable and constantly chewed at her legs to get some relief from the itching. Dr. Michelle Thomas was able to help us sort through some options and get to a treatment that works for Luci! Such a relief! It's great to know that these doctors are knowledgeable on the most current treatment options.
We brought our pets to Mulnix Animal Clinic because of Dr. Mulnix. He showed true care and concern for the well being of the animals and their owners. Now that Dr. Mulnix is no longer with us the doctor who took over his practice, Dr. Gaffney, is beyond unprofessional.
I went into the animal clinic today to follow up on issues my dog has been having. When I explained some observations about my dog as he is on a new prescribed food, the vet assistant had wanted to ask the doctor what her thoughts were.
Clearly Dr. Gaffney has an issue with us, as she had a "closed door" outburst about how she was so sick of dealing with us, and we were not listening to her, and what else do we expect her to do. After her outburst her assistant reminder her that I was actually in the office. Dr. Gaffney then asked her assistant if I could have possibly heard what she said, and that was the last I had heard from the front desk.
Needless to say, I will not be bringing my pets to a clinic that thinks my questions or concerns are a bother to her. I also will not bring my pets to a vet that does not understand everyone has different financial circumstances and we can't always afford $200 tests on spot, along with special diet food and vet exams. She made me feel like a terrible pet parent, when all I am trying to do is help my pet within my means.
Mulnix is the BEST!! The staff here is incredibly kind and caring and really do care about the well being of your pups. Much love and gratitude to this clinic and that it is here in town!
For the last 22 years Mulnix Animal Clnic have taken care of all my beloved dogs and cats. The doctors and staff are all excellent and treat my babies as their own. They are the best if the best.
We have been going to Mulnix Animal Clinic since the summer of 2000 & have had a wonderful experience there. Dr. Michelle Thomas has cared for our two Bernese Mountain Dogs and two cats for 15 1/2 years. Our first berner, Aspen, lived to be almost 13 years old. Dr. Thomas gave Aspen excellent care, performed minor procedures (like teeth cleanings) and referred us to an internist when Aspen's liver failed. One of the things I like in a doctor is the willingness to admit when something is out of their scope, and I really appreciated Dr. Thomas letting us know when it was time to consult a specialist. To me, this shows a doc/vet is comfortable with themselves and promotes trust between the provider and client versus an 'I can do anything' attitude, never referring you on - even when necessary. That said, for her first 12 1/2 years, we never needed to go anywhere else for our dog's care. Dr. Thomas is caring, extremely competent and doesn't rush in and out of the exam room.
I've always been able to get our dogs and cats in for appointments when necessary, the receptionists are friendly, the techs {like Kat} know our pets names, and the office calls to follow up to see how they're doing if they've been in for an illness. Prices are fair. We have a lot of good veterinary options in Fort Collins, but I drive 30 minutes each way to get to Mulnix Animal Clinic because I think they're that good. You won't be disappointed!

We first brought our dogs into Mulnix 2 years ago when we got our puppy Millie. We always had a great experience with Dr. Gaffney, and only until recently did we decide to take our dogs elsewhere. The last time we were in Mulnix, both of our dogs had to have their blood tested because we found ticks on each of them. The vet techs were extremely unprofessional while conducting the blood draw. We were told we would be informed of the results within the next few days, but never heard back from them.
We were able to find our dogs medication online for a much cheaper price than what Mulnix offered, but it required a prescription from our vet- which should've been very easy to obtain. However, Mulnix never approved our prescription so we were always unable to order it for our dog even though it was very important that they take it the beginning of every month. That is when we made the decision to switch vets.
Our new vet contacted Mulnix in order to receive both of our dogs medical records, which I had given them verbal permission to do, and they were not even able to do it on time. I had to call and follow up with Mulnix just to get them to send it.
I feel like they are a very unreliable vet clinic, and they do not provide the same care that we had seen in the past. They fail to communicate with their patients, and are extremely rude.
I am very glad we made the decision to take our pets elsewhere!
Every time my experience with Mulnix is positive. My dog and I are both greeted warmly and in the examination room within minutes. The staff and doctor are really supportive and professional. They walk me through their process that makes me feel like my pet has had a 360 degree check-up each visit. I also feel empowered to create a healthy environment for my furry friend and avoid any unnecessary bills. There are a lot of choices when it comes to vet care in Northern Colorado, but look no further.
