Good will, bright rooms. A little disappointed by the temporary exhibition Ensor and Spilliaert, lack of major works

The exibtition of James Ensor and Leon Spilliaert is really wonderful. Pictures, text, film and paintings make a variation of their work a great experience.

Very friendly welcome and discovery of Belgian artists! Collections that change regularly.

Superb building, pleasant visit and discovery of many artists

Definitely worth a visit. It is very large so you can walk around for hours. If you are doing this with a group, I definitely recommend a guide.

The museum is getting old. The exhibitions are arranged a bit boring.

The exhibition Ensor and Spilliaert are really worth it, as well as the Raoul Servais wing. The other floors look a bit deserted.

Mu.ZEE shows an impressive overview of the work of James Ensor and Leon Spilliaert. Top works by two intriguing artists, who demand attentive looking. The museum is located in a former department store with art deco elements. In the semi-permanent installation an overview of Belgian art from around 1830 to the present. Do not skip if you are in Ostend.

Must see museum in Ostend. Very friendly and helpful staff. Multiple categories of discount. Beautiful shop. Permanent exhibition (Spillaert and Ensor) is certainly worthwhile!
Regular temporary exhibitions. Accessible on foot from the station or the center.

Great events. From exhibitions of Ensor's paintings and sketches to workshops in art and creativity. These workshops are called LABO and are divided into age categories. Well-known artists teach photography, fashion design, ceramics, lithography, painting techniques, acrylic on canvas, paper lamps, 3D print, etc. The workshops are highly recommended.

Surprisingly beautiful museum, impressive building and lots to see. Strong collections and back with the classics!

Lots of paintings by James Ensor, with very nice staging, an instructive audio guide. Museum a little cold.

Beautiful museum that gives you insight into the art of the 20th century

Beautiful collection by Ensor and Spilliaert on the ground floor and various works by Permeke. Lots of space on other floors, but collection was a bit disappointing. Certain rooms seemed to be in need of renovation, and signage was often missing, leading to empty spaces. Doer space on the 2nd floor is fun for children!

Beautiful museum, must visit if you are in Ostend! Lots of original work by James Ensor.

A beautiful museum. Interesting works. Currently the exhibition "the raft" is very well organized with works on site but also throughout the city, which gives the opportunity to discover it or rediscover it !!
