MT ERICA HOTEL Review

I have been here twice in big groups on busy days (Christmas eve and Father s Day) and both times the service was really friendly. We didn t feel rushed and the food was good!

Well presented pub, with a good mix of new and old classics on the menu. Tap list is pretty good too with a couple of sours showing they're trend aware.

Only disappointment was the smell emitting from the men's bathroom which doesn't seem to have been captured in their latest reno. A lack of parents room or changing facilities makes it hard for young families.

Top pub. Great staff, delicious meals at a good price and extensive and varied wine list. Just go there!

Outstanding venue and excellent service, special mention to Justin for his efforts and making sure we had a great South Yarra BMW Christmas Party!

Great Sunday roast. Service was fantastic. Just try to get a seat(if cold) near fire. Great value.

Overpriced stodgy pub food that they call Spanish but you can tell the actual Spanish kitchen staff die a little every day.

Ate at Mt Erica last night. Packed restaruant, great meals, great atmosphere. Had the boxing on so plenty of people in the public bar.

This is the first bad review I have ever felt the need to write. Both meals were way over priced and over cooked. This was a very bad experience for my wife and I. 2 stars is me being generous.

Was all good until they called last drinks and then turned the music off straight away and then the lights on blare and made everyone feel unwelcome as soon as it suited the staff. Expected better from a place where I thought hospitality would be valued.

Eating at Austin's wasn't really a meal, so much as a dining experience; one that we'll most definitely be back to re-live.

Ordered the fish and chips. Was terrible. 90% batter. The actually fish just fell apart and it was like eating confetti. So Bad.

It was nice but the decor is too outdated. Staff were amazing though. Refurbished and you're 5/5

Has an awesome steak special on Tuesday, really good atmosphere, our group sat out in the garden area, really enjoyable!

The new chef is making his mark. The steak cooked medium rare is really tasty and I recommend the pork belly. We finished with some espresso's which were surprising good!

Sundays this place rocks, food vans in parking lot and live music, make sure you have the time to stay

Awesome atmosphere. Good selection of tap beers and the kitchen always gets my mouth watering.

We had a feed me option it was great I loved it nice atmosphere too

We had a great meal at the Erica. Started with 5 stars but had to deduct stars. 1. Telephoned for a booking about 12.00pm 3 times no answer so we drove down check.
2. All three doors locked but people inside, about to leave and another 2 groups turn up and shakes the door to get attention. Door man apologies, didn't realize the door was locked.
3. Had a nice meal ,one of the group went to pay in cash and the cashier asked if they could keep the change. Very rude, inappropriate and unprofessional. Do you charge 10% more if we paid by card? Should wait for a tip not ask for it.

Our booking wasn't ready when we arrived, but the service was very friendly and helpful and we were seated at the bar while we waited. Food was great, everything we ordered was delicious.
