The therapy is helping out a lot they massaged my ankle then iced it and the ice felt weirdly wonderful. Dr. Penny Lawin is very direct and I love that she sugarcoats NOTHING

I went to Dr. Moss for a finger surgery. A tiny finger joint...and he saved my life. While talking to him, I mentioned that I had fallen several times recently and felt weak a lot. He said he wanted me to go to a certain doctor. The referred dr removed my gall bladder! No more falling or weakness. Now for the best part...he discovered a problem with the liver. He sent me to Dr Ronald Kotfila who is helping me with my fatty liver. Dr Moss, I owe you a tremendous debt of gratitude!!

Their "urgent care" is a joke. Something popped or tore behind my left knee. Excruciating pain that dropped me to the floor. I got a ride to this place from my brother. Upon walking in the door, a male employee looked up from his cellphone at me, no doubt seeing how much I was struggling to just stand much less walk, and looked back down at his phone and kept on walking. There's like 10 wheelchairs right there at the front door and did he bother to get one for me? Or even offer to? Nope. Once my brother parked and came in, he got one of the wheelchairs for me... One missing the arm pads but that had bolts and nuts sticking upwards through the arms and one of them cut my arm. Fast forward 45 minutes after filling out paperwork, I get taken back. 10 minutes later, I get taken for x-rays. 20 minutes later, a nurse practitioner comes in, talks a bit and says they need to schedule an MRI in which afterwards, I'll see an actual doctor. Problem is, they can't do the MRI for 2 weeks. In the meantime, they gave me a full leg brace, a pair of crutches and told me to go home and eat ibuprofen for the next 2 weeks. Not even a prescription for pain or muscle relaxer. So much for URGENT care. Later in the day after I returned home, they called me to tell me since it would be 2 weeks before they could get me in for an MRI, they wanted to go on and schedule an appointment to see the doctor in 4 days. Um, he's not going to know what's injured in my leg without the MRI so why?? Anyway, if something bad unexpectedly happens and you need urgent care, this is not the place for it.

The most awful service I have ever had. Horrible staff, the nurses are by far some of the most rude people I've ever encountered. Did nothing to help, barely concerned with anything but their phones and flirting or conversating with other workers.

Short wait times and very friendly and professional staff from scheduler all the way up to the doctor. They take the time to talk to you and see you as a person instead of rushing you in and out. Very comprehensive service from beginning to end. Will definately go back for any future needs and will be referring to everyone I know.

Had knee replacement. 4 days later took c. diff. Bad hospital, responsible for this. however , the Dr. Who did my surgery had no caring for condition. My knee developed scar tissues, he could have cared less. Today every move I make is very painful.i have lived with this horrible pain. I ask him to please scan my leg later, said . Oh. The pain will probably go away. And every time you bend it it will click loudly.

Long story! My son was told he had a bulging disc....

Long story! My son was told he had a bulging disc. At the time he was only 16 yrs old. He suffered with this bulging disc. We came across a few people who said they "live" with a bulging disc and that they're fine with it. Not my son. It wasn't just a bulging disc in my opinion. We saw a doctor in Flowood for a few months. Those visits were short. To me, this doctor didn't seem to care for his patients. It was always a rushed visit. We sign in, we wait for a while, and then a 5 minute talk with the doctor and we're out. I would ask questions and press for answers but I would never get anything that made sense to me on why my son suffered. Not all injuries or bulging discs are the same but there were plenty of people who "live" with it. My son suffered.
Months went by and we could never get any real help. Then one day, my son didn't sleep for over 24 hours due to his back. He could not sit, nor stand, and couldn't lay down either. It was rough seeing him go throught this. We came to our doctor and she referred us out to MS Sports. I cannot remember the nurse's name but I remember Dr Woodall. He was the best. He was very patient and asked us questions as well as answering ours. In August of 2017, my son finally had his surgery. And since then he hasn't had any problems at all. I am truly thankful for Dr Woodall and his staff for the patience and service they gave to my son. They are all absolutely wonderful!!

Thank You!! Michael Willis and Melissa Stephens

I can't believe that an elderly person has to wait 2 wks. To have surgery on a broken bone that will not heal without it. Other than that, it's a good place to go because they are specialized at what they do.

The whole atmosphere was awsome, and the staff was so very helpful. Dr. Larry Fields made me feel at ease, and he has an awesome presence, and he explains things to me in a way that is easy for me to understand. Miss. Sports Medicine gets a 5 star grading from me.

Have been using services here for over 20 years, and am REALLY PLEASED with the care and professionalism of the physicians/medical and other staff in ALL locations I've experienced!

I've had both shoulders repaired and one hip repaired, and later replaced. Very happy with results!

Highly recommend Drs. Craft, Mehrle (& his N. P., Brian--a "human tranquilizer of calm & peace--love him!) & Field for hip & shoulders (they may do other joints, too)!

I've been to two visits with my mom. The doctors and staff are excellent but the wait times are just horrible. The first visit we were there between 3-4 hours. The total time with a nurse or doctor was less than 25 minutes. The second visit was rescheduled and the reason given we found not to be true when we returned. After 2-3 hours waiting the total time with a nurse or doctor was less than 7 minutes.

Dr. Hobgood and his staff were very friendly and helpful. I felt that he knew exactly what was wrong with my shoulder and the nurse thoroughly explained what exercises I needed to do. The wait time was reasonable as well.

I want to thank Mississippi Sports Medicine for their great care. People thought that I was bow legged because of the way I had started walking because of the pain that I was in, but Dr. Shelton and his staff put an end to all of that. Thanks Dr. Shelton and your surgery team you guys have brought my life back to normal, and I walk better today than I have walked in years. God bless Mississippi Sports Medicine and Dr. Shelton.

Everyone was so very helpful and extremely courteous. For people how have knee, leg and/or toe issues, who are not in a wheelchair, the Radiologists should be more respectful of that and take all of the necessary x-rays while the patient is in the room with them. Thanks to Kim at the i-pad desk to being so helpful.

My mother-n-law had a simple hand surgery to remove some bone spurs. She was told to arrive for the procedure at 7:45, I had her there by 7:15. After waiting two hours I went to the desk to ask how much longer it would be. I was told that she was number 9 on the list of surgeries and there were 5 ahead of her. When I asked why she had to be there so early the lady at the desk told me that was just the way did things. Finally around 10:30 she was called to back triage area. At 10:55 Dr. Morris came in and told her he had 2 more surgeries. Around 12:00 the surgery finally began and only lasted about 30 minutes.

What I don't understand is why did my mother-n-law have to arrive so early if she was number 9 in surgeries for that day? I have never had to wait that long before an out patient surgery at other locations and other people that I have spoken to have said the same thing.

The waiting room was freezing cold. The thermostat was set on 66. Everyone was complaining about how cold it was in the waiting room but the staff wouldn't do anything about it.

The receptionist in the surgery center area was not very friendly.

Urgent Ortho care for nothing major don't go if you have any type of a fracture. They will not order you any pain meds. Realistically it's not urgent at all.
Physicians will not return your calls. If you do have any time of injury issue be prepared to wait 3-6 months before the issue is properly addressed. You will be expected to go with out pain medicine. You will be expected to get another provider to order you the necessary diagnostic MRI and therefore you will have to pay for it yourself. Even after 3 months with no relief, a tore menucsis, ligament, fluid buildup on the knee and now a bakers cyst in the back of my knee and loosing the feeling to my foot I wait......

I was under the care of Dr William Johnson Jr. With his knowledgeable consultation, I decided to undergo a Bilateral Hip Replacement. Dr William Johnson clearly explained the pros & cons of the procedure. Any questions that I had was answered & everytime I called his office, I received a call back in a timely manner. Dr William Johnson Jr & staff were very attentive before, during & after the procedure. I am very happy with the decision to move forward with the surgery & I am very pleased with the outcome. I highly recommend Dr William Johnson Jr & his staff.

Best of the best!!! On December 17th 2020, I tore my ACL and meniscus. I had to have an X-ray and MRI to determine the diagnosis of my injury. Dr. J. Omara is the best surgeon and doctor in the area hands down! It was my first ever injury, needless to say I was scared and completely lost. Im also a bit of a claustrophobic, so getting an MRI, especially for the first time was nerve-racking. But the staff at MS Sports Medicine made me feel comfortable and provided reassurance I needed to get through the diagnostic process as well as the surgery! I m 2.5 months post-op now and doing very well. I don t have any swelling and am able to walk without a brace or crutches. I can also fully rotate my knee now. All is left is working on strength and extension. My surgery went well without any complications, with no discharge of fluids during the 2 weeks post-op. This is an EXCELLENT indicator that the surgery was effective and efficient. Im very grateful for Dr. Omara and his staff for taking such good care of me. They are the nicest medical professionals, who are there to make you better and answer any questions you may have. Even if you call them outside of your regular appointment, they will go the extra mile to answer and help you. Highly recommend this facility and specifically Dr. Omara and his team. THEY ARE THE BEST!

Doctors are amazing.....

My only complaint would be standard wait time is at least an hour past your appointment time.
Bring book or entertainment.
I have to say the treatment is worth the wait.

Dr. Hobgood is unlike many physicians in that he is genuinely interested in and concerned about his patient. I have a lot of really good doctors, but Dr. Hobgood tops the list. And his surgical skills are beyond compare. The total shoulder replacement he did was the easiest, least painful surgery I ve ever had - and I have a number of surgeries with which to compare. The staff is friendly and helpful - an all around good experience.

Dr. Field and his staff are first rate. I had rotator cuff and bone spur surgery on my shoulder. Surgery staff friendly but professional. Doc took plenty of time explaining surgery and effects during pre surgery meeting. Always staff and Doc were upbeat and friendly during after surgery appointments. Pain was not severe as I expected. Did not need pain meds after 2-3 days. Others have talked about the wait times. This is a big operation here. The waiting room is usually full. Wait times may exceed 1 hour. Most times not. But things happen. I definitely recommend Dr. Field for shoulder surgery.

I had an appt and was really amazed at the short time I had to wait before being seen. That was a first for me.I waited less than 15 minutes. They did my xrays b4 seeing the Doctor of which was great so when he came in he had already viewed my xrays, so he immediately told me what was wrong.Out of a rating from 1-10, I would give them a 10.Great experience, everything was over in about 1 hr.

We were told to be at Ambulatory Surgery Center at 6:00a.m. Left home at 4:30am to be here on time. After waiting two hours to be called back to surgery I asked why we were having to wait this long. Reply: you are last surgery scheduled. So, we have been here since 6 as instructed, it is almost 9:00. So our time has no value? Extremely disappointed in their lack of consideration or maybe it s an underachieving scheduler to blame?
Same thing happened last month with another of their doctors
