Chef Dani is not only the best human ever, but a super genius when it comes to all things food. I'm vegan and was sooooo pleased to see I have options at Ijuu! The noodles are AMAZING! The salad was fresh, crisp and perfect and the tomato side.... COME ON!! I still dream about it tbh. It's soaked in quite honestly the best kombu broth ever made. It's divine. Would highly recommended and will definitely go back again and again!

Pizzeria Mozza delivered exactly what I'd expected: excellent food, from the antipasti to the desserts, nice environment at Piazza Mozza, gentle waiters, good price. It's worth it!
Food was great. Server was fine, but the staff at the front were downright rude. They have lost their way, only printing money now. Go up a block to Mud Hen.
Amazing pizza that combines some Bombay love and spices with pizza. It was a great place to find before heading out to watch the Rangers play the Astros. I can't wait to get back and try this place again.
I really liked the place. It s my first time here. There pizza and Salad are delicious. However, the price of the salad was expensive even tho it s a big portion.
Your mind will be forever expanded by this place. Best really-actually-not-lying best pizza in the city. Note: this is real pizza, not American style pizza. Pro tip: the simpler pizzas are the way to go. And save room for desert if you've got any sense. I don't and I didn't and it was almost the end of me. Without a rival, Mozza can do nothing wrong as far as I have seen. Mmmm!
It would deserve three stars if it weren't so expensive. We ordered three pies and they were all clinical and soulless. I wouldn't recommend this place for it's pizza. The caprese salad with its pile of burrata, quality olive oil, and tiny tomatos was delicious.
Pizzeria Mozza is well-known for its chef, Nancy Silverton, which is the only reason I can imagine for its popularity. The food was good, but it's easy to find better pizza for about half the cost. The restaurant itself is deafeningly loud, and waiters and servers constantly navigate the tight spaces that divide tables. The pizzas take a ridiculously long time to make - we were there for 75 minutes and only ordered pizza. You should know that the only parking is valet and will add $14 excluding tip to your total.
Best pizzas. The 14inch is big enough for four or if you are hungry the 18 inch and a glass of wine is just right. Mozza has become our regular pizza place.
I've only ever written one bad review and that was about a tire store that was ripping people off. And now I'm writing another bad review for the same reason.. only this time about my favorite pizza shop. I used to be a regular customer of Mozza2Go, going there since 2011 about once a week to get the cheese less tomato and oregano pizza. Even then, at $11.00 it was pricey for a 10" pizza and if you aren't there when it comes out of the kitchen, the pizza will be cold when you pick it up. But still, it was good. I hadn't ordered from them in over 8 months and the other night I ordered my usual pizza. When I went to pick it up, I was charged $15.83 for my same 10" pizza, with tomato sauce and oregano (cheese less). I'm not a cheap person and I'm happy to spend money on good food when it's an experience.. But this is just flat out PRICE GOUGING for something that while good, is not enough to be a gourmet experience and demand a gourmet price... like caviar.. One of my clients owns a pizzeria and I know that the cost of the ingredients aren't more than maybe $0.50, with maybe 5 minutes at most, of labor involved (this is made by kitchen staff at $15.00 an hour not by a chef commanding $300-500 for the night), the cost of the box, maybe $0.15 - 0.20 (to be generous in the favor of Mozza2Go) Ingredients, labor and box total less than $2.00 That's a 1200% mark up... for some dough, a thin layer of tomato sauce and a sprinkling of dried oregano. I've stopped going to restaurants that I frequented because they've gone down hill, but stopping because they started price gouging their customers is a first for me. Doing this is sort of hard for me to wrap my head around... but I have to walk away, because what Mozza2Go is doing, is not ethical. I own a service business and you have to make a profit to stay in business.. But good service is about giving your customers value for their money. It's not about taking advantage of them. A concept that Mozza2Go clearly doesn't understand.
Absolutely exquisite pizzas and other dishes, but incredibly noisy environment due to poor noise isolation... Those with less than perfect hearing will not enjoy an easy conversation.
I just had dinner there and the manager yelled at us when a friend stopped by to sit with us for a few minutes even though the table next to us was empty. It ruined our meal and we left early. I just wish he could have be nicer to us. I will never ever go back or recommend a place with such a pretentious attitude.
EXCELLENT Pizzeria Mozza and Buratta Italian Cheese! Yes you have to a wait a little but the service was great, what an incredibly beautiful meal and wonderful evening!
Pizza was sadly just not that great. Nothing like any standard pizza in Italy. Crust was over cooked and tough so you could not cut through or even tear it, too thick, sauce was too sweet and sparse, hardly any mozzarella, and SO overpriced for what you get. I m honestly amazed that this is supposed to be famous pizza. It just wasn t very good. Waited a long time to be seated even though we had a reservation. Super messy, dirty bathroom. Good olive oil gelato though. Overall- nothing to go back for. Even ambiance was missing.
I was in LA for a dog show and was traveling all day and didn't want to make supper stubble onto the pizza shop in main street what a great restaurant good food and the price didn't brake the bank.
We were very disappointed with their food. I had the lasagna which was okay (would not order it again though) but the pizzas we chose (on picture) had barely any sauce and tasted super plain. Maybe go with a white pizza with many toppings and that could be a better option.
Finally go to experience this legendary haunt after all these years. It s the one meal on our recent visit to LA that I m still thinking about. Incredible pizzas, chicken wings, burrata, and charcuterie. This place fills up at lunch so make a reservation if you don t want to wait.
The visit here was epic. It's been 24 hrs and I'm still talking about it. The Mrs. and I got away from the little ones and loved everything about this place. We saw it on Chef's Table and loved the appetizer, fennel sausage pizza and butterscotch pudding with two pine nut rosemary cookies. We plan on coming back to go through the menu. Was well worth the one hour drive for the experience and get away. 10 out of 10 with awesome service and beyond memorable food!
Went to this place for lunch - has a $12 valet which was handy considering it would be impossible to park nearby. This Nancy Silverton restaurant was great for a lunch spot. Had the pate bruschetta... a bit heavy on the pate but still delish. The meatballs were very good, not the most amazing ever but none the less, very tasty. The pizza and the caprese were the highlights. Get gelato for dessert.... simple. Would recommend to a friend. Ps watch chef s table episode about Nancy on Netflix! That s how I learned about this restaurant.
Best late night in town! I simply love all the food I have tired here so far. The arancini, Pizza, risotto, I mean everything! The only inconvenience is that they don't reserve for party with less than 6 people and they are always packed.
The pizzas are all so good, it's tough to pick a favorite, but if I had to choose, one would certainly be that fennel sausage pizza. Try the pizza with sausage, red onions, and scallions.Beside that, there is a big chance to see an actor there, It is hollywood wowww, I saw Drew Barrymore there.
My friend and I capped off my birthday weekend with lunch at Pizzeria Mozza before the 2 hour drive home. As walk-ins at around 12:30pm on Monday MLK day, we were seated right away at one of the "bars". I say bars in quotes because one is a wine bar, and the other is seating bar-style near the pizza oven, where they're making and finishing most of the dishes. We chose the 2nd one, and we were entertained and fascinated by how efficiently they all worked as a cohesive team. Our server was awesome! Very casual and competent with a solid sense of humor.
We each got a pizza and dessert. I got the Bianca pizza and my friend got the Pizza alla Benno. Both were delish! Even though mine was a white pizza with basically just cheese, it wasn't heavy at all. You could taste how fresh the ingredients were... it was so good. The pizzas are a good size... like normal restaurant size. They're a full meal on their own. However, we saw some interesting dishes that we were saying we need to try next time. The paninis looked so good!
For dessert, my friend got the Meyer Lemon Gelato Pie and I got the Butterscotch Budino. Her pie was very fresh and lemon-y. The Butterscotch Budino was basically a salty butterscotch pudding with two teeny tiny cookies on the side. Very yummy, although maybe a touch heavy handed with the salt.
Overall, a very delicious lunch! This will be a regular spot for me when I'm in LA or Newport Beach.
Great ingredients, delicious food. Service was impersonal. Not very crowded and pizzas are wood fired, pies shouldnt have taken soooo long. Budino is really good but the lemon dessert still tasted a little frozen.
After hearing a lot about "the best pizza in L.A. is in Mozza", taking advantage of DineLA I made reservations for noon. We arrived on time and the place began to fill up quickly. So I recommend making a reservation.
came in mid day. only four tables occupied there and four tired ladies with 10 to 15 open tables. They tried to double us up in a booth at a single table when the place is 3/4 empty at 3:45 in the afternoon. We said no and the guy just said "i'm sorry" about 10 times but never gave us what we wanted... a normal table during off hours. I understand they are pressed for space when it's busy but he couldn't THINK rationally. 1. it's not busy now and 2. its not likely to get busy for another 2 hours We hope the food is better than the service. we left for tendergreens. kind staff yummy food.
This is a interesting place. The atmosphere is good. They have some unique dishes here. I would highly recommend their Brussels sprouts. Everything tastes good, those are just a favorite. A little pricey but the quality, portions & customer service warrant the little extra money.
Great pizza place! A hole in the wall.. i had a gourmet veggie and it was a treat for a vegetarian like me. It had great toppings like sun dried tomatoes, artichoke and it took me by surprise for the kind of ambience that it had. I wouldn't give 5 star only for the fact that it has very less seating and the ambience needs a lot of work! But I guess don't judge a book by its cover.
The best pizza in the world. Period. And I ve eaten at em all, from Naples Italy to Naples, Florida to NYC, and even Frank Pepe s. Mozza beats them all. Order simple to appreciate the crust and sauce without too much gobbledygook. Neopolitana is the best- especially well done and hold the anchovies. Don t forget some salad. The dressing is light and lemony.
Amazing pizzas with a brilliant crust. Had the squash blossoms, tomato and burrata which was simple but brilliant. Particularly enjoyed the chicken liver bruschetta with capers, parsley and pancetta.
The food was amazing!! I had to go to this place considering I saw the episode on chef's table and the taste of the pizza and the texture of it reminded me of Naples!
The pizza crust was lite, not too greasy (like all usual American pizzas) and definitely bursting with flavors!! A good recommendation for sure!!
The pizza is just what you want in a late night, or any time of day, pizza pie. It's hot, sizzling cheesey goodness meets the tastebuds with candor and acclaim! Most nights, the roof of my mouth is deliciously damaged, but it's all worth it. The thought of a slice is actually making my mouth water. I usually get the pepperoni with arugula. I ask for extra arugula and I get it!
I've never tasted a deep dish quite like this. Call and order ahead to dine in, all the locals recommend it. Their coffee is good too! You can't miss at this place.
I'll be damned if this is not some of the best pizza on the west coast, hands down. Flavorful, chewy crust that's not too thick. Excellent toppings, efficient service. Great spot.
Best pizza in LA, possibly in all of Southern California. I"ve been to this location and the one in Newport Beach. They're both great, but the LA restaurant has more charm (although it's a lot harder to get in). If you're looking for great pizza Mozza is a must!
The pizza was phenomenal. I had a white pizza with breakfast toppings that might have been the best thing I've ever had. Salad was also great, and they have a very nice beer and wine selection.
I would like to commend this restaurant for providing me a well-made pizza and pasta that I ordered. These guys are really amazing with their foods because it really tastes great. I could not ask for more from them because I was greatly satisfied and pleased with the service and food. Thanks, everyone! Keep it up!
