We had a great time rafting in the rain. The actual rafting was a lot of fun but really, the best part was the staff. They were so enthusiastic about being on the river that we couldn't help but have a good time.
We took our 8 year olds rafting here for the first time and we all had a blast. Our guide Eric was awesome and really considerate of the kids. It was a great introduction to rafting. We did the quarter day trip and it was about right for our kids. Wonderful!
Absolutely fantastic. Everything ran smoothly and the guides were great. We ll be going back for round two-this time some higher level rapids- later this summer. Thanks to the mountain waters team.
The ride was incredible! Our guide, Eric provided a perfect experience. He safely and patiently helped our family feel comfortable and confident. He was able to navigate the waters while helping the 5 year old child and the 80 year old grandma! For first time rafters, Mountain Waters was exactly what we needed.
We had a great tour of Mesa Verse with our guide, Greg. He is very knowledgeable about the park and the history of the area, which he communicates in a friendly and informative manner. He had water & snacks for us, customized our experience to our preferences and was flexible about stops and breaks as needed. The only reason I did not rate this as a 5 is not because of him; he was a 5 . But there was confusion with the office about booking the tour. I was told we would not be able to see much of the cliff dwellings as there are currently restrictions in place requiring a ranger-guided tour to actually enter the dwellings. The office staff suggested an alternative tour of the Canyon of the Ancients instead, where you can get closer to the dwellings and sites. I spoke with the office several times and was still receiving emails regarding the Mesa Verse tour. When we met Greg the morning of our tour, he informed us that we could do the Mesa Verse tour and he actually recommended it because the museum at Canyon of the Ancients would be closed that day, and half of our tour time would be consumed by driving to and from the site. We were glad to take his advice and very much enjoyed the day. I think there may need to be better training for office staff in how they communicate with customers and the guides.
We had an absolute blast! John was our guide and he was beyond awesome. He was great with my children, very knowledgeable, and fun! He has us cheering and engaged the whole time. He spoke to each of us by name and overall made our experience with Mountain Waters Rafting one we won't forget! We can't wait for our next adventure with MWR.
OUTSTANDING! Wonderful time "team building"! Ethan was a GREAT guide and Hunter provided wonderful entertainment. A MUST do when visiting Durango, especially if there is good water flow! Mik and the team were professional, funny, and great with the kids that were on the other boats!
Best idea we had for our trip out west!! Eric was a great guide and helped our tentative 7 year old to feel comfortable. We all had a great time!! Very family friendly!

Such a great experience! Everyone we spoke with from booking to departing were helpful and cheerful. They made it fun for our five year old and we felt completely safe. Our guide Ethan was the best! Would definitely recommend!
