The area around the ski area was absolutely disgusting...trash dominated much of the landscape to the point that there was a full bag of trash floating on snow/ice in the middle of the reflection lake. I was embarrassed to have family visiting with me. This place has been sadly mismanaged. And to top things off a guy in a red and white old school BMW was doing donuts in their parking lot while people were walking!!! I will be making a formal complaint. I visit this area often and this was truly sad. If you're going to open up the area for recreation make sure you know how to manage the area first. And shame on all of you who think it's okay to abuse nature.

AWESOME place for yourself and the kids! the drive there is also a blast (just make sure you have snow tires or chains as they advise during the winter). The kids love every chance they can get to slid down the mountains. Mt. Baker has a top notch facility and stunning landscape!

Worst experience ever!

Worst experience ever!

We bought the tickets with a small discount ($60 +tax) because it was a windy day and only 3 lifts were opened (3,4 and 7), but they told us that they're also planning to open the lift 5.

Few minutes after we bought the tickets, they closed the lift 3 and 4 due to technical problems, we didn't even have time to ride once.

When we went to the admin to talk, first of all, she was screaming to everybody inside the room listen that they wouldn't refund the tickets. She wasn't even a little friendly or polite.

They didn't have a plan for that emergency:
- No shuttle to drive us to the lift 7. If we want to use it, we would need to drive until there or walk for about 30 minutes carrying our gear.
- They didn't open the lift 5.
- No refund for all the inconvenience.

We needed to wait in the restaurant for almost 1 hour until they fixed the lift 3 and 4. They opened the lift 5 only 30 minutes before the resort closed.

After all, we drove 6 hours (round trip) and paid $60 +tax each one to waste our day and have the worst customer service ever.

Great snow! The weather is hit and miss one out of four days was spectacularly clear, sunny and all over beautiful. So many days there is not much visibility when snowing but the positive side is the ever increasing powder.
The instructors are very good, I learned to downhill ski in just three lessons, after third I was told I'm level 4 and can go on to the blue runs.
The beginner's lesson package is an outstanding value which includes rentals, the lesson and all day lift pass on chair 2.

Great mountain that usually gets the most snow for the area. Coming from BC I'll choose Baker over the locals. Prices right now are $62 US which is still good for all the terrain... Definitely recommend snow tires coming up as the road can get a little hairy.

Solid ski resort, chill as always with very short lines in comparison to some of the other mountains around the Seattle area. I hope they continue to keep their prices reasonable, staff is always great there.

We are planning to go to the Mt. Baker Ski Area on winter Christmas Day (25th Dec). Is it possible to drive all the way up there? Will snow on road create difficulty in driving? I would appreciate your suggestions. Thanks!

A great place to sled with the little ones. One of my most prized moments as a mother was seeing the joy on my kids faces as they experienced their first snow/sledding trip. We will be back!

Great value considering the terrain available relative to the lift ticket price, and an exceptional resort for traversing or skinning into steep bowls when the snow is good. Quirky lift system and easy to get disoriented when skiing the named runs so carry a map on your first time out. Make a meeting plan because there is no cell service on the mountain. We will return!

One of the best summertime motorcycle rides in the state!!! About 50 miles from the freeway, along rural winding roads, and beautiful forests - with the last 10 or 15 miles of winding up to a beautiful sub-alpine area with a stunning view of Mount Shuksan.
