Great scenery

Great scenery

The mountain lies to the west of the last vantage point, so the sun spoils the photo opportunities in the afternoon. I experienced a spectacular sunrise here for the first time - the play of colors was great.

From the parking lot you can walk different routes. The short circuit is easy and paved. For the more demanding, good footwear is helpful.

Time required: half a day from Bellingham, journey 1 hour

Best ski area I ve ever ridden, so much varied terrain and deep beautiful snow. Grew up riding this mountain, and I will die riding this mountain! Hopefully not literally, but if it happened I d die happy.

Beautiful ski area. To be fair I haven't been to many ski areas, but this one is beautiful and has everything you need to rent your gear and get on the mountain, whether you are a beginner or expert at either skiing or snowboarding. In addition, there are snowshoeing trails as well, but I am not sure if there are snowshoe rentals at the shop.

It's one thing to see it in the winter when skiing, but it's a completely different experience in the summer. Highly recommend the visit. Try to go during the week - in the morning - when it's not so crowded.

I learned to ski at Mount Baker. It was everything I remembered cold and wet. if you like steep and deep this is the place to go the black diamonds are exactly what you want to ski or board. Bring your ring gear.

The last affordable ski area in the State that also boasts the most snowfall in the lower 48. No high speed quads but with rarely any lift lines you'll get enough runs in. We also had a bonus day with a great three piece blues band in the lodge. Good time all around.

Great ski experience. Not super commercialized, down to earth staff and what I remember ski resorts being when I was young. Also, a very large mountain with a lot of runs for many different skill levels. Overall a great experience.

If you enjoy skiing, you have to try Mt. Baker! Elevation is high enough that if it's raining in Seattle, it would a small blizzard at the top of Mt. Baker. :) however, with all ski slopes, the cost of an all day ticket is really expensive! Plus, the price differential between kids prices and adults isn't much different. For our family of 5, the cost is about $250. Make sure you pack a lunch, since food prices are expensive also. At least parking is ample and free. If your car is stuck because of a recent accumulation, flag down a worker with shovels and they will dig you out or push as needed.

To save some money, rent your skis in Glacier.

Overall, my experience was good, service friendly and I'll go again. ..

A very warm homey feel. Staff are bright positive caring people who are fun. Reasonably priced lift tickets. They are pet friendly. Have two resident lodge cats who are not afraid of dogs. All equipment was functional. Food in the lodge is great but a bit pricey. Everyone is down to earth and is laid back.

Great snow, plenty of lifts, really nice staff. It's about a 2.5hr drive for me to get here but the drive is pretty scenic. Super fun runs, i just wish there were some longer runs, of course there's nothing management can do about making the mountain bigger. All in all I really like this place!

One of my favorite ski spots just because of how little the lines are most of the time. You get far more time skiing than you do waiting around. The mountain is a little more raw than at other Ski Areas, but there more places to scoop out a little powered.

Great mountain. It's been a long time since I've skied there. Took our son for lessons and the instructor was awesome. Also good to know the tow line is free so great for post lesson practice since rental is all day. Or if you have the patience to teach someone yourself.

These guys are jerks. I do a lot in both the back country and on the resort. This resort is allowed on public land at the sufferance of We the People, yet I've heard staff complain LOUDLY numerous times about all the back country people not paying them (for back country access!).

Now they are trying to charge $10 a night for trailhead parking! Ludicrous!

I'm giving them 1 star, and I'll not be boarding at their resort until they remove their insulting fee and poor attitudes.

Awesome mountain, 8 chairs, lots of fresh snow. Road up was continuously maintained. Plenty of parking for a morning arrival. Quick lines for ticket purchase. Easy to expert options. Would be nice to have a few groomed runs.

A real throwback of a resort. Single day tickets are still really cheap, the lifts are slow, but oh my God the terrain. You'll be on the lift for a little longer, but you'll be standing at the bottom for less time - and you'll have a blast on the slopes.
