Great ski area. But this is not a resort, which means you can't get accommodation on the mountain. Some nice lodges, with good food and beers are here and the chowder is my personal favourite.

There are Plenty of lifts and back country riding. Not all runs are regularly groomed and there are only a few runs green runs but they are long and should keep the newer skiers entertained.

Mount Baker is the Mecca of snowboarding, so ant purist should at least make the effort to ride here in my view.

Perfect starting point for a day on Mount Baker. There is plenty of parking and day use facilities, some people stay in campervans here. At the corner of the carpark you can access the free snowshoeing trail which is a nice 5 mile walk to the knob which has panoramic views, otherwise there is rental gear and a lift to the other ski runs.

visited for the first time in quite a while. the area has not changed much(lifts, runs, road and drive up) there is a nice newer lodge and the views are still better than most ski areas. Don't expect the hype of massive snowfalls to equate a destination resort. This place is still a fairly small area with only so much variety in bounds. snow can be good or bad(like all northwest skiing). Drive up can be very challenging and parking is pretty limited. worth going every once in a while unless you are local.

Had The Best Time Snowboarding @ Mount Baker. We Had The Best Timing Because When We Arrived, The Best & 1st Snow Storm Hit The Region, Even Though It Wasn't Sunny, The Fresh Powder Everyday Made Up For It. Locals Were Very Friendly As Well.

Mount Baker is a must skier & snowboarder Mecca that must be experienced once. It s legendary for having insane amount of snow totals each year. I didn t know what to expect, driving more than 3-hours from Sea Tac Airport. Rounding each corner through the Snoqualmie National Forest finally led me to this wide open view of the Resort in the Cascade Mountains. Breathtaking!

Overall decent experience quick process to buy a ticket and the lodge has most anything you could need. I enjoyed the lack of crowds even on new year's day with 8 inches of fresh powder. The chair lifts don't have safety bars which seems unusual. The terrain is not suitable for a beginner skier as everything is quite steep. The road up can be a bit icy.

I love mt baker. It has that small resort fell but it can be really busy sometimes. Its better priced than stevens pass.
All the times ive gone the runs are been really well groomed but come midday can be well used. But still really fun. It's also a pretty decent price if you just want to do the green runs.
Meadows feel much more busier with new learners so I find white salmon is more fun since there is less people clogging up runs. Meadows had people and families standing in the middle of the rope tow run which was unpleasant.
The only issue i had here was when I fell getting off the chair on top and sat on my board bindings really hard. I was getting yelled at for needing to be past the yellow which I understand i need to be past but I fell and my bum was really sore. Maybe be more curious and come out of your little cabin then just yelling people to move. At least at Stevens pass they helped me learn how to get off without falling and stood out and helped people.
Overall love this mountain but chair staff could be more friendly and helpful.

We went there in May and found it still covered with a thick coat of snow. Looking forward to going there in winter and exploring the slopes further.

The stream flowing through the ski area makes for interesting views and adds another dimension to Mount Baker.

The views from this place is simply magnificent and worth beholding.
