Only the bare minimum of grooming. If you like ungroomed terrain with lots of out of bounds skiing, this is your place. They do get a lot of snow. Slow quad chair lifts.

Fantastic resort thats all about the skiing and boarding!! Really enjoyed their glade hills. (Tons of snow!!)
Best place to visit in Washington! This place has a bunch of easy hiking trails!
Good morning although there is no terrain park anymore. Prices for tickets have slowly been riding but still not as expensive as some. Rentals aren't very good because they only use these old boots
It's like having a ski playground in your backyard ... oh wait, because it is!
Take a class learn how to do it weather it's or snowboarding just try it could be for you could just be a waste of money but the experience it's what you will take with you trying new things can be enjoyable and scary all at once but when people ask you do you like you can answer with knowledge "yes I do" or they are easier and cheaper ways to break my own neck and make look like an accident while being warm too, have you tried mountain biking?
In August amazing weather, perfect for hiking sightseeing.
Immense beauty here that can't even be described in words. I would absolutely recommended visiting.
Mt Baker Ski Area ROCKS! This ski area is unlike many other resorts in North America. No village, no nightlife, just deep powder and basic amenities.
At the end of Washington State highway 542, Mt Baker Ski Area gets the most average annual snowfall of any resort in the world. There are 3 lodges that offer food. The upper (Heather Meadows) and lower (White Salmon) also sell lift tickets and rent ski and snowboard equipment.
The weather can vary wildly, so be prepared while driving the 53 miles from Bellingham. Drivers are required to carry chains in their vehicles from Nov 1 through April 1.
There is soooo much mountain to ski on!! Always has the best powder and the best veiws! Remember to stop in at the lodge and grab a brew and a bite to eat!! The food here was way better than I was expecting. Highly recommend
Stunning location and vistas! That alone is worth the visit. Mountain has that old school charm with its slow chairs all over the place. Staff is happy and friendly. Lunch has some delicious options. Pulled pork on a bagel is a filling feed before returning to the slopes.
Amazing place to ski. The lifts are all the older style, but don't let that deter you. The top of the ski hill is right up in the alpine and the snow is (usually) fantastic.
Always the greatest place in WA to play in the snow
Great place to ski technical terrain. Jerry's beware...
Helpful staff, chell lodge, always a good time at Mount Baker.
One of the best North American ski resorts I have ever been to. Breath taking views. Better than Whistler in a lot of ways, cheaper, less crowded, variety of terrain and quicker to get runs in. Plus I lost my passport on the slope and the ski patrol found it for me! I am forever in their debt and will come back to this place as much as possible next season.
Love this ski area! The runs are all really fun rarely are there any lines. The lodge food is expensive but sack lunches are allowed which can greatly reduce the cost of your day. My two favorite lifts are chairs 5 and 6. Chair 5 is really nice because it is a super long run with a very short lift ride. Chair 6 is amazing because it has access to some spectacular black and double black runs as well as some insane views.
Always the best priced and laid back mountain in the pnw
Beauty and adventure. Hiking trails, skiing, snow boarding, day lodge. Prepare to be dazzled.
In my opinion better than Cypress, worth the drive. Not packed and better snow.
One of my favorite Washington resorts. Usually get a tonne of snow. Lots of terrain features and lifts. Great mountain and great price. Is tucked away enough that doesn t get the masses of people.
Great place to board with family and friends, fun for all skill levels and they have lessons if you want. Back country for more experienced rider with the appropriate gear. They also have 3 lodges for you eat, drink and relax in.
Home town vibe. Good access to fun trails, well groomed and marked trails, clean facilities, good food, free overnight camping, affordable prices, one of my favorites in Washington!
One of my top 2 ski areas in the northwest, perfectly groomed runs that have access to deep back country powder, Mt Baker ski area is one of the few places you can get a feeling like skiing in the back country in alaska without the cost.
Superb. Great skiing. Less crowded. Very enjoyable.
Great people, great prices, and everything you need to enjoy skiing in a beautiful place.
03/15/20 - beautiful day here at the ski slopes, great day to go snowboarding, skiing or snowshoeing. Roads are dry, sun is out, air is fresh.
National treasure, epic views. The drive is not for the faint of heart but the photo ops from the top on a clear day are unique on earth. Tread lightly.
Such a beautiful mountain. Great spot to go ripping around on a board or skis. Real fun to prep your backpack throwing your snowshoes and go for a hike. And the summertime right to get blueberries. Some of the best amazing tasting wild blueberries out there. The only thing that could make that mountain better as less people LOL it does tend to be very crowded
Went there for snowshoeing. It was a gorgeous day and a gorgeous area!
ROAD IS NARROW NO SHOULD NOR GUARD RAIL. STEEP DROP...
Great experience everyone was very nice and helpful. Instructors where great and patient.
Awesome day of skiing with some fresh snow. Very nice experience
Love it, best ski area to go, almost don't want to tell people, it's a hidden treasure.you want to go skiing, no hotel no night live- this is the place. Prices are reasonable, chairlifts are efficiently managed, with short waits even if its busy.Make sure to prepared, winter tires is a must.Dont even try without you will be waisting other drivers time.
It was my first time ever snow boarding and though it was a difficult task the powder soft! Price was reasonable, nice place to eat eith cheap menu prices. I'd definitely go again.
Great snow, good lift ticket pricing and very accessible on route 542.
One of the best mountains in the world. The views are surreal.
Great powder, better than expected food, and short lines.
Beautiful drive up to the ski area, VERY hard to get there in snow with switch backs. Had to turn around once. Have good tires and 4 wheel drive. Or check into buses that may be running, that would be safest and easiest. IMO
This place is awesome for a local place out of Bellingham!
What s not to love? Park at the lifts, easy access to all terrain. Love it here!
Only the best in the West! But It is true that the lack of night skiing is a bummer. But if you go hard and enjoy the feeling of shredding a REAL freaking mountain, then Bakers window of opportunity (9-3:30) is all you need.
This is simply the best of PNW. Because it was weekend and no rain people were out and so it was busy but still beautiful. Views were incredible. Highly recomended. Have sturdy hiking boots on. There are rocks.
When there's powder here, it's unbelievable. It's on-piste terrain is relatively small, but if you have time to learn this mountain, the off-piste is a bountiful winter wonderland for experienced skiers and snowboarders.
drove down all the way from Vancouver BC, roughly 2hours. such Beautiful mountains, dry snows and variety of runs, hardly any line up on any chairlift, friendly, chill people and staff at the lodge. will definitely come back. lift ticket cost about 92$ Cad.
Very nice in winter and in a summer also. Well nice in the falls season and spring too. Nice all year around.
