The food was delicious every morning, complete with juice and coffee, served by Melissa, the chef and manager, which was always a lovely way to start a day after an incredibly relaxing night. The room was clean and comfortable, not to mention quiet. The in-room tub (in Victoria's Room) legitimately held two people, and the room was always well stocked with towels, robes, and bath salts. My wife and I cannot say enough about the quality and restfulness of our stay! If you have the chance to get away for a weekend, this should be the place you look forward to staying at.

Here for 5 day's but loving it already. The decor is amazing, beds and sheets are soft and super comfortable. Our host (Melissa) is extremely helpful, personable and makes a great breakfast. Can't wait to see what's on the menu tomorrow. Highly recommend if you're in the area.
Very beautiful and comfortable! My husband and I will definitely return as soon as we can! Old world charm and opulence - very romantic, and breakfast served in the parlor was enchanting! Loved EVERYTHING about this lovely destination!
Tried to attend a friend's reception but my wife couldn't get in because there is no wheel chair access. I was told by the owner that because of the mansion's historic status they were not "required" to have a ramp. I thought it a bit odd that a property that seems so concerned about keeping their historic integrity would have a 2 car garage with metal garage doors added on.
House is beautifully decorated, our host Melissa was so kind and personable - gave us a tour and everything - and breakfast was scrumptious. Great anniversary overnight stay!
I can't say that I have ever stayed at a B&B, but this one epitomizes the concept. Take a step back in time and enjoy yourself in this old mansion, with the softest linens ever felt and the friendliest folks
I can't find enough great words to describe my experience at the Mosheim. The owners are the nicest, sweetest people you will ever meet. All the guests felt at home and all our needs were met or exceeded. The breakfast alone is a reason to stay there! The owners' positive, energetic attitude shows in everything they do. Running that B&B is not their job, it's their passion. The Mosheim is in a quiet, picturesque, quaint location, nestled between other historical residential buildings and 'Main Street" Seguin. This location is not exactly central to things you may want to do in New Braunfels/San Marcos but it is peaceful, secluded and a very short drive from the bigger towns around it. It is definitely a much, much better way to go than staying at a cookie cutter chain hotel closer to the highway! Trust me! The rooms are beautiful, ornate and very clean. The travertine showers are a dream! I didn't get to try the spa but I spoke with other guests who did and they loved it. The common areas are so pretty and full of history. The beds are very plush and comfortable and I slept like a log. The house is definitely very quiet in great part due to the great construction. I truly cannot wait to go back just for the B&B. It is by far the best bang for the buck of any stay I had in the US.
It's actually the Olivia Mansion now. It's super clean and amazingly comfortable! There's a few neat thinks to see around town and its only 30 minutes from New Braunfels and Gruene! We'll definitely stay again. The only thing is they advertise wifi but we had to self check in and there's no instructions on how to access this accommodation.
Breakfast was wonderful. Sheets were so soft. Shower and bathtub were updated and nice. Some improvements we would suggest - lighting in hallway is too bright. At least some lights need to be able to be turned off at night. Bubble bath would have been nice for bathtub. WiFi was decently strong. Great location - could easily walk downtown. Room was a bit small for the price though.
I'm sure this charming house is exactly what people want in a small-town B&B. It feels personal, and almost like a small step back in time. The bed had the softest, most comfortable linens I've ever experienced!
Great place to stay! Very impressed by the room. The staff was friendly and accomodating. The breakfast was top notch. I would reccomend it to anyone looking for a luxury room in the area.
This was our 3rd year wedding anniversary and we accidently ended up here. Talk about Lucky. The place is beautiful and the pictures do not do the place justice. My husband and I enjoyed everything and all the rooms are nice and have their own twist. But we loved the extra-large tubs. The food is amazing!!!!!! And boy did we love the French toast and omelets. Carol was accommodating to our desires and our stay was greater than expected. Also she recommended we go to Gruene, TX which we did and the food was good their too. Also there is a place there that you can taste wine. Normally I do not like wine but my husband and I found one that was perfect for us.
I stayed last summer at Olivia Mansion. Absolutely beautiful, clean, relaxing time. I stayed in Rebecca s room and enjoyed the comfortable bed, clean sheets, large jacuzzi tub, coffee, and delicious breakfast of scrambled eggs with gruyere cheese and ham, croissant, seasonal fruit, and jam. Melissa the innkeeper is friendly and professional, making every interaction for booking and questions simple and personal.
Lovely old home. Breakfast was really good. The cook was friendly and told lots of local stories. Bed comfortable. Enjoyable experience and would stay here again. Centrally located and many sites we're within walking distance.
Best bed & breakfast I've ever stayed in! Loved the HUGE jacuzzi tub in the room. The house was over 120 years old with beautiful Antiques. Shout out to Melissa who takes care of the property and cooks a fantastic breakfast!
It was a nice B&B for us to stay at. Clean and comfterble and nice breakfast of quiche, croissant, fruit and coffee. Shower had nice hot water and room (Julia) was quite spacious.
My husband and I had a lovely 2-night stay here. The room was very clean and cozy. Breakfast was SO delicious, and we loved chatting with the host, Melissa. She is extremely helpful in telling you what and what NOT to do in town. She made us feel very welcome.
Had a wonderful relaxing evening with my husband in the grand room. would recommend highly. rooms well appointed while preserving alot of unique and historical features. wonderful hospitality and special touches not found in hotels. breakfast was also very good. will be back!
Very pleasant experience. We stayed in Julia's room and loved it. There is a sitting room, bedroom, and detached bathroom. We ate a wonderful breakfast each morning and the staff was very friendly. I wish we would've been able to see more of the mansion than just the rooms and dining room.
Please delete the previous 2 star review. I apologise, that was an unintentional review. I attended a bridal shower at the Olivia Mansion, and I was very pleased with the facility.
Stayed here on our wedding night. Was a super cute and clean room! They left personal congratulations for us. And the breakfast in the morning is something we still talk about to this day!! We will be back as soon as we can to celebrate again
I booked the Madeline room at the Olivia mansion for a weekend getaway with my significant other. The room was pretty, comfortable, and clean. Our check-in time was at 4pm and checkout time was 11am the next day, so it was a quick trip but we had a great time at the mansion. The check-in process was very simple and efficient. The tv in our room did not work but I didn't mind that. I accidentally left some rings in the room when we left and didn't remember until a few days later. I was worried they'd be lost or thrown out but the host was kind enough to take the time and mail them back to me. Thank you Melissa!
