Been a customer for about 28 years. Always a good experience until mid August 2020. We came in to order a winter cover, clerk checked with supplier, was in stock and would take a few days to get to the store. Checked back a week later and was told they'd look into it. I called back the next day and got a we tried to reach you. I have no messages from them. Then we don't have an order with you. I'll not be shopping here again. In the Swim on line actually has inventory and will ship quickly. Once again what is killing retail is poor customer relationships. I miss the previous owners they were great.

After a month, 6 phone calls, three visits to my h...

After a month, 6 phone calls, three visits to my house, Ron the technician had zero interest in figuring out Why my gas fireplace wouldn t crank on. Was told it was one thing and then another... finally they called me back and gave me part numbers and a price... when I literally said it doesn t sound like you even want this gig Ron hemmed and hawed... and bowed out. Would really have appreciated him saying up front this is an old fireplace and it s a pain and I recommend you upgrade... this place gets a D minus for communication and honesty...With fireplaces for sure! I will be upgrading ... but not with Morton s. Disappointed!!

Follow up: This unit was fixed By another company in under an hour by cleaning the valve and replacing only the head of the igniter..

I'm confused why there are poor reviews that refer...

I'm confused why there are poor reviews that reference poor customer service. I had a seamless experience with buying a gas fireplace for my 1930 home. Install was done by Chad at Flame Tech. Super happy with pricing, product and customer service. Shout out to David for being able to trouble shoot my pilot light reset a week after install. Highly recommend if you are looking for a local experienced gas fireplace provider.

I sent my wife here to pick up a few things for our pool. The guy there was extremely rude to her. To be fair we didn't have all the info about our pool for him to be able to sufficiently help us find the filter we need but his customer service skills were definently lacking. I prefer to shop local but unfortunately guy at Walmart was actually nicer and more helpful.
