I was in Novant Matthews for 2 days. The food was wonderful, was exactly as I ordered and I never left a bite on the tray.
Was the highlight of a couple of really boring days.
By the way, I've been to culinary school so I know good food when I see it.

This company, at least where I have worked, is dysfunctional. They will let you work understaffed for years with no end in sight. You will constantly have to do things that are above your pay grade, and when you ask for a raise, they will decline. They have all these 'upper management' people, literally, like 5 levels of upper management. Don't ask me what they actually do except throw out "let me know how I can help you" but do nothing. None of their websites are user friendly, but you're expected to know how to work them. Did i mention you won't be actually trained? You'll wing it, or you'll learn from someone else who has winged it, and then when you're not doing something correct, said 'upper management' will come tell you what you're doing wrong, but provide zero relief. The turn over is so high, and when you explain why, nothing changes.

This company has no idea what it's doing when it comes to nutrition and healthcare needs. They don't understand the specific dietary restrictions or the special needs of certain patients. Service is terrible and they act like a patients need for food is an inconvenience to them. They are pathetic, useless, and undeserving. Eventually the hospitals will catch on and replace this unprofessional company.

The staff and service people are very rude. The care and concern for the patient is lacking. My recent stay at Westchester Medical in Valhalla NY is the reason for my encounter with this company. I am interested in knowing how such a great hospital aligned themselves to a company that provides poor service.

This company controls a food vending machine on the second floor at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, TN with only their name and a contact email on the front of it. It took over $2.50 from me and is not working properly and did not produce food. I emailed them when it happened Friday and today is Tuesday and I have received no response. I would like a refund. I have a photo of the vending machine that doesn t work properly.

My son is in Atrium Health CMC Charlotte. The food service provider changed after he had been here for about a month. Morrison Healthcare is now in this hospital, this company is the most unprofessional, apathetic, non caring, late and rude food service company I've ever seen. I ran kitchens in healthcare facilities and I am wondering what palms have been greased for this company to stay in business. How does hospital administration allow this company to sully their reputation? There is no patient care or concern, you can ask for a dietary order multiple times but it's just not correct. Breakfast two days ago arrived at 1:30 pm and the lunch arrived at 1:50pm. Who is running this kitchen? Do they know about nutrition? Are they aware of health department protocols regarding food temperatures? Is anyone reading what each patient has for their dietary order? When a request for management is made, someone comes in, apologizes, promises that everything will be corrected and then the tray comes up late, cold and wrong again. The health department needs to step in and do a thorough inspection. It's ironic that Morrison Healthcare acknowledges "the power of food for healing" but fails at every turn. Unfortunately, the patients are held hostage, there is no other choice for them. Morrison Healthcare, how would you like to be treated the way you treat your patients and customers? Let's see you rise up and do the job you were brought aboard in the correct way following health department protocols, treating patients with compassion, dignity and respect, serving meals you can truly be proud of.

10/07/19- UPDATE- The service has gotten better slowly but steadily. Mistakes are still made but they are less than they were. Dietary staff is much friendlier and seem to be more compassionate with patients. I hope they continue to improve and succeed.

This company is very unprofessional and rude. They have no compassion or communication skills. Food order is never right and is cold not hot.. They don't properly train employee's . People who pay thousands of dollars to retire and live in a nice place. Deserve to have the best experience in all that comes with retirement. Dinner wear is always dirty not very appealing when you sit at table and first thing you see is dirty class and silverware..Very disappointed in service....

Maybe it's the chefs but the food is not good quality food for me. They claim to have healthy foods but they dont. They dont properly cover there food before serving it. They charge a lot of money for what they serve. I try my best not to eat in there cafeteria, there menu are horrible no good selections. I cant speak for anyone else I can only speak for myself and my experience with Morrison here in Houston and surrounding areas.

If this food were to be served at a corporate dinner, everyone would be FIRED. The providers of the food would lose their contracts immediately. The meatloaf was the worst food I ever had. I have eaten better dog food. I would like to talk to the CEO of this company. I dare whom it is to serve this food at a home dinner party. Whoever ate the meatloaf and said it was good, would be lying. Piedmont Medical Center should find another food service provider. I could not go below one star.

This company works for Lehigh Valley Hospital, the food is lousy, and prices skyrocket. I hope they improve the service, because otherwise they will lose their contract soon. Charging $ 9 dollars for a so-called barbecue chicken drumstick with a raw flavor and a sweet potato cooked on one side and hard on the other, to top it off accompanied by canned beans - if I could I would give it 0

They have ruined our cafeteria with bland food at our hospital. The previous vendor had MUCH better food and a wider selection. This vendor came in because our employer wanted to save money at the expense of dedicated staff who had been with the company for decades and at the expense of food quality. Garbage.

I would like to add that we have had numerous complaints about the food by our patients. One said her breakfast was cold. Another had rock hard toast. Yet another patient was served milk on it's expiration date! I saw a food server take two trays into a patient room, then walk out with one food tray and take it into another patient room which is unnacceptable because it opens up a pathway for potential cross-contamination!

Now a worker told me that Morrison was seen touring the linen department so they will probably take over that facility too. And it wouldn't shock me if they take over Housekeeping as well, not only putting into turmoil the lives of hundreds and hundreds of people, some of which has been with this healthcare facility for over 40 years, but exposing patients and families to lower quality of service and the potential for an increase in hospital-related infections. We are one of the highest rated hospitals in the United States, and we are investing billions of dollars over 20 years into new construction projects, yet for some reason Morrison needs to come in to give the finger to supposedly "unskilled" laborers (who are anything but) so upper management can line their pockets with a few more hundred dollar bills. This is completely unnacceptable for a healthcare facility of our size and stature, and Morrison is not up to our high standards and worldwide reputation.

We have been dealing with their food service part of the business at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. My dad is on a cardiac/diabetic diet plan with insulin shots so his meals need to be delivered with a great percentage of accuracy. Unfortunately, his first meal had 5 out of 6 items wrong. We were pretty understanding as they corrected the errors. We since have had multiple order errors with the last order having very poor customer service with correcting things. It took 1 1/2 hours to get a missing salad and to correct his fruit bowl order but was treated very very rudely.

The food has to be transported from kitchen to rooms by way of a heated carrier. This means there can be no fresh fruit or cheese and the bread is dried. They don't seem to know about Atkins or any low-carb diet. It's not an option. I asked about it and they said they never heard of it.

This company is in the Sentara careplex hospital in Hampton Virginia. 2 meals is 20 dollars. You charge almost 4 dollars for 2 small cups of coffee. You are part of the problem with our healthcare system. I'll go to the Outback and Starbucks if I'm gou g to pay these prices. Not again! Also most of the staff here are rude.

Underpaid, under appreciated, lied to and age discriminated against . The worst working environment and juvenile management ( thru intimidation and power trips) that I have ever lived through. Can not believe THIS is WHO MORRISON is. Would never recommend anyone, especially anyone that is a mature adult, to work there.

I'm visiting my father at McLaren Flint and am quite disappointed in the food, let alone the price. I've been coming into the cafe for a week now, and the food is very limited. Last week it was the same thing for lunch every single day. RIDICULOUS!! Today I bought a yogurt which cost me over $2.00!! You are getting 3 times the return on a single yogurt. The refrigerator was bare. No salads, no sandwiches, nothing at all...unless you want a overpriced string cheese. Did I mention that today they were out of coffee?!
