I have been with Morgex for over 10 years. I have my house and vehicle insurance with them. I randomly received a phone call, indicating that one ticket from 2.5 years ago will result in a 20% increase in cost and they will not cover my vehicle for collision/vandalism..... that is absolutely outrageous. I am so disappointed as I was a loyal customer. I very rarely complain but I think everyone should know to stay away from this company and take your business elsewhere where it's actually valued.

I hold an AMI Glass policy for my vehicle, and recently upgraded to a new car. I had some confusion of who I was supposed to call to get things changed over, and Sharon Cook was absolutely wonderful in helping me get it all done. She was super quick to respond, and was friendly and professional. Thank you!

Find a different insurance company. Don't use Morgex and Unifund!!

About five years ago my truck was hit and run on the street in front of my house. They fought me for as little as possible even if my $60,000. Truck had 26,000 kms on it. Like jobber parts on a new truck. Give me a break.

Two years ago I noticed a big increase in my premiums. I was busy and didn't have time to inquire but when I did they said "oh sorry we have been taking $80 ish $ a month to much for 7 months. They did make changes in my monthly premium to pay me back but come on people check what your doing. Then the next renewal it was within a couple of $ they had been over charging last year.

Then July 2020 I had insificiant funds in my account. 1st time in 20 years with them. I got the nastiest letter saying they were sending my to colections and I was not the kind of customer they wanted. I called them and made the missed payment but they wanted the rest of the premiums for the year NOW plus a nsf charge.

Then as I was shopping for quotes from other insurance companies the broker I was talking with asked why I had my insurance for my house for over $100,000 more than it was worth?? I had no clue. It saved me a $1000. A year in premiums.

DON'T USE Morgex or Unifund insurance. They don't care about anything but they're million $ profits by not paying out when needed and customer care sucks bad!!! Overcharging and no respect!

I was advised of changes to my policy and asked about having a manager review those changes before I left for a different service provider. I got the run around over email and phone from the "Service Specialists" and never heard back from a manager or specialist if a escalation request was even possible. I was willing to take no for answer but they made it seem like there was some magic word or hoop to jump through that would get me the coverage I needed. I tried to play the game but left so frustrated that I will never use their services again. DO NOT TRUST.

You'd think a company you've been with for 20 years would at least speak to you respectfully, and do what they can to keep your business. Apparently not this one!
Refused my request for a letter, wouldn't look at how they had misspelled my name in their system, and talked to me like I was annoying them when they had to correct THEIR ERROR.
Didn't bother to answer my emails either, so I called and got this.
Not impressed.

Follow up. I received a call from Morgex and they processed the cards. I improved the rating by two stars.

Yesterday at approx 12pm I called Morgex to revise a serial number on my automotive policy. One of the numbers on the VIN was incorrect (4 and should have been 1). I was not able to register my vehicle after driving for 25 minutes to do it. I called on agent and was cut off somehow. She did not make the change or email me to give a reason. I called back two hours later and the next contact said that he would email the first and ask her to make the change. Today I called again and the attendant asked me more than a half dozen questions to confirm my identity. That was not enough and he asked me to email the policy. Can you imagine me emailing them my policy? I finally managed to email it this afternoon (24 hours later) and the bounce email say that emails are addressed in the order that they are received. It is over 24 hours and I have still not received my updated insurance cards via email. All to correct one number on a VIN. Also, I revised my phone number on the system with the first attendant but the next two could not recognize it even though I had to use it to access the automated phone system. To top it off there is a horrendously long intro on the phone system before you can even get through - how many times do I need to know about a discount that was offered from April to June?
