I was so disappointed and frustrated after being turned down for disability.
It was so difficult not being able to work physically and then being told I was
not getting any financial help after working so hard all of my life.

After my initial claim for disability was denied, I decided that an attorney might be helpful in my appeal. My disability claim was denied twice. I went with M&W after the second appeal. Laura Hernandez took my case. She was thorough and to-the -point in her interview with me and in her explanation of what I could expect in my hearing with the judge. Laura told me that there were a couple of rough spots in my case and that she was going to ask me some hard questions in her cross-examination. The hearing was a little nerve-wracking but Laura got me through it. My claim was approved. I recommend the firm and especially Laura to anyone going through this complicated and stressful process.

I experienced a very long, drawn-out, hard fight for my Social Security disability (SSDI). I had used a different law firm for my initial attempt to get my SSDI, & after 4 years and the Social Security Administration denying every appeal available to me, I lost my case. However, God led me to switch law firms to Morgan & Weisbrod in 2017, where I met my wonderful attorney, Ms. Laura Sigaud. Ms. Sigaud filed a second case for me, as she knew how many health disorders I was struggling with & how much proof of disability I had.

Even my second case was denied the first two times, but Ms. Sigaud was definitely prepared for my case when it was heard by the Administrative Law Judge. She made sure I was prepared for my court hearing by meeting with me beforehand & going over all my medical issues. Ms. Sigaud also made sure the judge heard all the medical facts in my case, & her office was great about making sure the judge had ALL my medical records. The judge even commented that he was overwhelmed at the sheer volume of medical records he received!

It was a tough fight, but I was finally awarded my SSDI in February 2019. I feel like meeting Ms. Sigaud was a gift from God, because I'd spent 4 years with another attorney and got nowhere with my case. A fight with SSDI should never take 6 years & deny someone with the many medical disorders I have, but Ms. Sigaud's work finally got me approved. Awesome law firm! One of my neighbors had hired them for his claim, they helped him get approved after being denied so I contacted them first, before I made my disability application to SSA which was probably one of the smartest things I've ever done. They helped me from the get go and led me through all the red tape and "traps" that most people fall into when trying to do it themselves. Bottom line, my disability claim was approved the first time around. Saved me a ton of headaches and problems. If you are considering legal support when filing for Social Security Disability look no further. These guys are the best. They are very helpful with filling out the initial forms and keeping on top of additional info requested by the SSA. They also handle the timely filing for appeals after the initial denial letter arrives. All important especially if you are suffering and dont keep up with the mail or feel good enough to spend days reviewing the law and figuring out why you want to appeal. This was all great and would have justified the legal fees by itself. But when I was denied twice and needed to appeal for a live hearing with a judge, this is where Morgan & Weisbrod really stood out.
I was assigned Michael Kelly. He was incredibly professional, had worked thousands of cases with my judge, reviewed every aspect of my case with me in person, and then pointed out in the hearing exactly where in the law my medical records supported the claim. I am most grateful to Mr. Carl Weisbrod for taking my case. I had never thought about applying for disability benefits. However, my wife knew a woman related (I don't recall how) to Mr. Weisbrod. When she heard my situation, she recommended to my wife that we contact him. When we did, he readily agreed to take up my case. I was forewarned that it's a long process that can take up to two years. I decided to apply because I had nothing to lose: Mr. Weisbrod's firm would not get paid unless I won, and then only a percentage of whatever back pay I received, up to a limit.
