Took the family there tonight for dinner, hadn't been there in 2 years at least. Had a great experience there the service was excellent, the food was terrific, and left completely full.

Was surprised to see the patio so full of people. The food was delicious. It was good to get out and enjoy some Mexican food.

Growing up in Villa Park, Moreno's was a family staple.
Last 3 times I have been, food is marginal at best.
Today I was informed they could not provide a container for dogs water (we were on patio)
Seriously? Is the 5 cents for container going to cut into your bottom line?
Safe to say...will not be back.
Save your money.

Love this place, when you can get in. It has a fun atmosphere, great food and at night is quite a romantic place.

I got a couple tacos for taco Tuesday, and they were huge, messy, and delicious. I loved them. The mess they left behind was the perfect taco salad!

Lunch under the shade of the pepper trees on a warm day. Great food & atmosphere. Been coming here for decades and plan on coming back many more years.

Guacamole,.margaritas and $2.00 tacos. What is not to like about that? Our waiter was a riot and kept us all laughing even as we were leaving.

Taco Tuesdays are FABULOUS at Morenos. Comfortable outdoor seating, gracious wait staff and delicious food (at an amazing price) make it a MUST for anyone in OC who appreciates a good taco. Easy to find, on Chapman, east of 55 freeway. Lots of parking too!

Horrible food no way is it authentic Mexican, service was ok, never again for me

We stopped here on a whim after a quick trip to the OC Zoo with our kids and my parents who were visiting from out of town. My little daughter saw there sweet patio from the car and declared that she Had to eat there! Her little four year old self thought the patio lights and decorations were so inviting. It happened to be freezing and we were not inclined to eat outside, so we sat in. We were a big group of eight and they found a way to get us seated right away, and by a window so she could see out. The staff was absolutely amazing. So kind, polite, gracious, and caring. They made my kids feel special and so welcome right from the start. Not every restaurant is great about that. I have a zillion allergies and can t eat out, but have a picky family and all seven raved about their food. They all ordered different things, tried new things from their usual go to eats at Mexican restaurants, and they said it was absolutely delicious. My family is born and raised in Colorado, and have lots to compare to. They found zero faults and not a thing to complain about. Everything was fresh, made perfectly, and HUGE proportions. We now know we need half of what we thought for the kids. You honestly can t go wrong here, and I have absolutely now idea what any of the bad reviews are about unless it was a total fluke. The decor is a bit dated, but in a sort of charming homey feel, and it was cozy and clean. The restrooms were clean, menus were clean. We did not order booze, just beer for the guys, and it was cold and fresh. So, I can t comment on margaritas. I hope people will give them a try and maybe another try if they stopped coming. If their last drink was weak, I always suggest talking to your server. That is an easy fix. Thank you for a great family dinner Moreno s!

BEST and BIGGEST tacos for 2.00

Taco Tuesday is amazing here. Be prepared though, the tacos are a huge portion, taste and value. Highly recommend for authentic Mexican food lovers.

I've been to Moreno's quite a few times with family over the years and it always seems to leave me wanting more. The service has always been great but the food has never impressed me. The food to me lacks flavor. I wouldn't chose to go to Moreno's by myself but will continue to go with family. At least Chips and Salsa is good.

Lots of good food. Friendly Staff. Reasonable prices. Pretty clean place also.

Parking can be tricky if u go during a popular time (there was a bumper crunch in the parking lot as I was trying to park!!) Great for groups IF you call AHEAD. Nice outdoor seating area. Much larger than inside. Wait staff (slightly rude) wanted my party of 8-10 (w/ an infant) to wait AN HOUR to be seated (is our $$ not green enough?) in the heat & sun(??). We found a corner in the EMPTY, cool, quiet but busy bar & made ourselves cozy. Some of our party had travelled from Riverside to join us for lunch!!... we had GREAT service from the bartender on duty. Chip bowls & salsa always full. Took our orders. Food was good. Drinks were better. We made sure he got the tip he really deserved.

Beautiful outside seating! Their crispy tacos are just ridiculous! So good! Great enchiladas, and really everything on the menu is really good! Authentic flavors, cooked perfect! It gets busy but it's worth the wait! Their staff is proficient at handling crowds!

Called to make a reservation for a large party. Apparently talked to someone who wasn t able to confirm the reservation but said they could accommodate us and he would put us in their calendar but to call back and talk to Linda Moreno. We were so excited that they could book us so we planned the gathering there. When I called back to confirm, Linda said they could NOT accommodate us. She was rude and short with me. She said it wasn t her fault. She said Bengy was who I talked to and he shouldn t have told me that they could take care of our party. (her employee, her fault) Every time I tried to talk, she would cut me off and interrupt me. I ve been eating at Morenos for over 30 years. We have celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, valentines, weddings, funerals etc there within my family and friends and this is how she treated me. There food may be ok, but their customer service is aweful. I will never eat there again!!!!

Nothing for the place that is nice, the staff good, but the dishes in presentation weighed the food apart from bad it was cold and too expensive to be so simple food.

We were celebrating my sisters birthday expecting a great night... the atmosphere was great but the service was lousy with a capital L, some of us received our food cold.. I asked for a steak knife and small spare plate maybe twice never got, one of the girl asked for more hot water for her tea after her 5th plea they brought the water I forgot to ask if it was hot ....I will recommend or go back!

First time here and it was delicious! I had the tacos and they were made with corn tortillas and fried!! The salsa is really good as well. This is a place I will come back to for sure.

My experience, bad, bad order 5 hard tacos waited 37minutes can you imagine? When we got our tacos there were cold.. We were about to leave because that was so rude. I can't imagine people wait that long for the food, some people give good reviews, I guess because all they do is drink and don't care about the service.

If felt the taste was very good and they g8ve lots of the protien you order, plates are huge so if you don't eat a lot share with someone. They did take I think , long to serve the food.

For me it close and convenient. It's got a great patio to sit on. Fun atmosphere. The enchiladas are my favorite. Be sure to check out their margaritas!

Moreno's is an old school type Mexican restaurant with a very complete menu. The huge outside seating area is the best, as well as the service. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu - either drinks or food!

Family gathering and we had a blast. Waiter had a great personality plus being very attentive to all our needs. Food is always great!!

One of the best Mexican restaurants in Orange, CA. The staff is phenomenal and they always go above and beyond with their customer service to make sure that each and every one of the restaurant guests are always taken care of and well fed. On that note the food is always very delicious and I could probably eat it every day of my life!

A little bias here, the Moreno's are like family. We celebrate family events and still enjoy Sunday afternoons on the patio. Been going here 30 + years. My wife has been going for even longer since she was a kid. If you want great Mexican food in a family relaxed place, there is no place better!!!!

First time visit to Moreno's ...will definitely go back. Large patio and good service.

I celebrated my graduation earlier this evening in this great restaurant. happy to tell that we had a magnificent evening and the venue was absolutely the reason for the fruitful event. The team contributed in a pleasant manner, the meals were tasty and my guests were extremely delighted. We shall definitely visit again for more celebrations. Thank you very much.

Very good food. Taco tuesday gets very busy. Lots of people like the big $2 fried tacos. Parking does get challenging on tuesdays.

It's really out there authentic and great atmosphere unbelievable drinks and over the top Mexican food service is outstanding parking is VERY easy lots of handicap parking.

Price is a bit high but you get lots of food and its pretty good.

I took my family here on friday evening early looking forward to a nice meal. My wife and I had lunch a few weeks a go and the food was very good. Friday dining was a big mistake . The waitress was rude sand slow . She did not know the menu , the beer was warm Simple plates like bean burritos as well as entree plates were luke warm .The waitress brought the apppetizer at the same time as the main course. I wanted to like it but I will spend my next 120 dolllars elswhere

Great authentic Mexican food and an even better atmosphere. You will feel like your in Mexico and part of the Moreno family. Good place to go for Sunday brunch with generous champagne and Mariachis ready to play your favorite request.

Came here with my girlfriends, we had a ball. The food was delicious and Mango Margarita - a must drink and worth every penny. Our server was attentive, kept checking on us. We tipped him well!

Tamales are not that good, has bbq flavor. Parking is scarce. Will return for dining experience.

Daughter ordered Shrimp Platter, waiter confirmed three times and still brought the Shrimp Cocktail.Ugh...
