I brought the missus here for post-Valentine's dinner and sad to say the place is over rated. We were greeted and asked to wait in a little corner on the second floor, ordered cocktails and whisky which was more than I've paid at other fine dining areas.

Excellent food. It has beautiful outdoor dining. The service is great.

Love their food and fiestas Beautiful shows. Make reservations early for any special occasion. Sitting on the patio is always comfortable. Taco Tues is a hit with everyone!

Love their patio. The food is delicious. Huge portions too. The mariachi group was very entertaining.

It's a very popular spot - the only table we could get was at the crowded and loud bar so if you want to go here, I'd advise you to make a reservation in advance.

Food is pretty good. Taco Tuesday is the best with $2 tacos. Service is slow, but the staff are friendly. It's hard to find parking since it's a small lot.

First time there and food was great, our server Israel was very attentive and very polite. Definitely coming back and not to mention the seating outside was lovely

This place tends to get really good reviews but I am not sure why. Not bad food but really nothing special either. I have had better food for less at many other restaurants.

Came for a Taco Tuesday lunch and walked away with a smile. I m a fan of the shredded beef tacos but my buddy likes the chicken. For the price, you should get both!

Took 20 minutes just to get our drink order.. wasn't busy at all..food wasn't good .

Taco Tuesday was great! The tacos were big and very tasty. I always add a little salsa to mine to spice them up. One was enough, but I had to get two as they were so good!

Great food, great service and outdoor patio seating!

The servers go above and beyond to make your experience a great one! The food is very good. This is a wonderful place for big groups, family events etc. We've been there alone and with a big group and both times we enjoyed the outside dining. Both times we were impressed with the warmth of our servers and their attention to details. The food is out quickly and if in a larger group they offer separate checks. We are so glad we were introduced to Moreno's. They are celebrating 50 years!

The food is good, there's great entertainment, and a beautiful environment.

Wonderful food but long waits as they are only serving on the patio! Worth the wait if you have the time!!

Let me start by saying the food here is delicious. However, it is a very American Mexican restaurant, so if your looking for authentic Mexican food this is probably not the best option. I personally love their Taco Tuesday special. Drinks are very overpriced, and not that great. I wouldn't recommend coming here if you want a night out of drinking. I would also recommend getting here a couple minutes early as their parking lot is tiny and gets full.

it's got a really nice outdoor seating area. Food was very good standard food but good.

Lovely set up, dinning under this huge majestic tree. Waiters are all super friendly and terrific. Food & drinks are just like another mexican, nothing really above the average. It is def pricey but worth the ambiance.

I love Moreno's been coming her for decades. I've celebrated birthdays,graduation anniversary and memorial gathering.
My Mom's memorial reception was held at Moreno's March 23 2018 service was great.
But beginning In October 2019 to the present time the service has not been well received.
Today our server had a communication problem with our orders.
Communication with our tables until the Manager came out and explained the situation to us.
But our server clearly was not listening because he would bring out the wrong drinks Incorrect meals.
Also at our table we only had 2 menus for a table of 8.
It was crazy.

The food was absolutely the best today!

I mean the environment, sitting outside was amazing. But overall the food really isn't that great. It's really overpriced for what you get. I think you guys really need to taste some real Mexican food, and compare it to this. You'll say the same thing.

First time here because it was right on the Montrose Parade Route!! Such amazing food. It was really delicious. Especially the albondigas soup ohhh yummy!! And thanks for being so cool to let us use your restrooms during the parade!! We will be back. Maybe tomorrow? Yummm!

The atmosphere is great, the food isn't. The food is just so-so.

The atmosphere here is the best. The food is pretty good, maybe not the best Mexican food but still good. So much room here for large groups though and the place is really pretty, especially the outside seating. Worth coming here!

Historical spot, beautiful old building, great staff. Had a blast here!

Very difficult to find parking, circled the lot for 15 minutes. They were busy but it should not have taken as long as it did to order, get food and then get check. A unique look but that is all.

Family has a rehearsal dinner here and food was good. Beef was tender and I enjoyed the rice. Will have to come back to try other items on the menu.

The only reason they even get 2 stars was for great service.
Food was terrible cut into burrito and just full of watery pork maybe chicken and beans. Zero flavor.
Server ask me how it was I said OK. She came back and asked how she could make it better. That was really good of her.
Most items way over priced. Quess Californians are used to high prices.
I don't recommend for anyone who likes more traditional New Mexico Style.

The staff was very helpful and attentive and the food was hot and Delicious!

Chili rellenos are not very authentic and salsa boring, but service, rice and beans and carnitas and especially hand made tortillas made fresh each day are very good. Bakery on premises serves authentic Mexican sweet breads and pastries. Good coffee and flan. But most of all a wonderful atmosphere that takes one out of the hustle and bustle of the world and helps you relax in an outside patio or more private and romantic setting indoors. I'll be back!

This place use to have good food but it has become Americanized but the Mexican bread is bomb.

This place is always a good time. Great food , great service , and an awesome patio to enjoy it all in.

Been coming to Moreno's most of my life, it is my go to for Mexican food; the merchants lunch is a great meal. Highly recommend eating on the patio.

After 50 years, it still a great place to go with family or friends.

Great drink prices. Good food. We sat outside and the lighting was pretty cool. I will definitely go here again.

Small bar. Food wasn't all that and bar tender wasn't that good at making margaritas. Don't think I'll go again.

Sitting outside on banquet takes and folding chairs isn't my idea of fancy dining. The food was average at best.

Great environment, friendly staff, and a good band. Only bad thing are the prices. You shouldn't have to pay $8+ for a quesadilla with beef. The food is good, but not enough to justify the price.

Morenos is a landmark here in Orange.

In the authentic range, it falls between the local taquerias and a Don Jose style.

Food is good, single serving tequilas are a tad pricy for anything above average quality.

Delicious authentic food, great fun atmosphere especially in the evening hours outside under the big trees and twinkling lights. Fun place! The staff is very sweet and friendly.

My family has been going here for years. We can't get enough of their pickled carrots they give you before your meal. We love sitting outside on the patio over summer.

My family has been coming here since the 80s and very little has changed except I don't know if there's a woman making tortillas outside anymore. Moreno's has amazing food, fantastic drinks and wonderful ambiance. We love it.

Delicious and large portions. We had the carne asada burrito and chili releno rice and beans.

The service was good and accommodating for our group of 39. The food was delicious and hot. For it to be lunch they give you a lot of food.

Wonderful atmosphere. Food is alright. You pay for the ambiance not for authentic tasting food.

Great food, great Taco Tuesday! I was surprised, however, when we got the bill--the restaurant is $$ but the drinks were $$$$! I asked for a menu to check if I was charged incorrectly---drink prices are NOT on the menu! Beware!
