Went to a retirement party for a friend. Pork burrito was dried out and tough. Ate on the patio and it was a bit loud but what would you expect. Prefer El Cholo on Whittier Blvd. In La Habra.

Monday 12 August. It was okay, not the worse, but for the limited brunch menu, for the price, it is okay.
The green peppers were not cut up into small pieces and my plate had too much watery sauce, which almost spilled on my dress pants and shirt when the waitress set the plate on the table.

I have eaten at a lot of Mexican restaurants. For a nickle, you can find one on every other block in California and Texas, but other Latino restaurants such as Colombian, Cuban, Puerto Rican are very difficult to find in California.

Anyhoo Pancho Villas Mexican restaurant in Victorville and San Bernadino, it cost more, but food taste a lot better and nicer atmosphere, but that is just my and my girlfriend's opinion. Opinions are like A-holes, everybody has one.

This place has so much history in Orange. Great outdoor seating for large and small groups. Sad to say the food is not good. Mediocre tortillas, blah beans and rice, tasteless carnitas and carne asada. Fairly high prices. $69.00 for dinner for two with no drinks.

Had a wonderful evening with friends at Moeno's. The service is friendly & relaxed. The food is excellent. The portions large. The Mariachi band is great! The ambiance was lovely in the patio.

When it comes to Mexican restaurants, the rice and beans are how I measure it. And let me tell you, they were very good!! The shredded beef tacos were full of meat. It was all very delicious. I would definitely go again.

Some of these reviews describe a different place. Moreno's best feature is sitting outside under the pepper tree on a nice day, drinking a margarita, and eating the free carrots and peppers while waiting for your order. The salsa, it's true, is not so great, but most of the food is good. In particular the carnitas are very good. I also like the menudo on the weekends and the other soups, and the chile relleno and tacos are good. They often make fresh corn tortillas on the weekend, and there is free champagne with Sunday brunch. I do wish they had fruit with Sunday brunch, and wish they had fresh pan dulce from the bakery next door.

Called to place the family order for dinner and was put on hold, was in hold for a few minutes heard some static on the line. I hang up and call back not big deal these things happen wasn't sure if the Lady who placed me on hold was having difficulty with the line as that. Has happened to me at my place of employment . so I call back the same lady answers raises her tone of voice and as soon as she finds out I want to place an order for pick up & accuses me of hanging up like I had committed some heinous crime"ARE YOU THE PERSON WHI JUST CALLED AND HUNG UP AND CANT WAIT?" I'm thinking um no I'm the patron who's trying to place an order I'm the patron who has had multiple family events at this establishment i'm immediately put off but because my family has come to this restaurant for decades I explain that I wasn't sure if the line got disconnected but yes I did hang up as there were a static on the line then this employee or owner part owner whom ever she is (but from the looks of her once I actually got to the restaurant her face is in the family pictures that is so proudly hung at Morenos.) so I ask are you new here I'm just trying to place an order not be harassed; apparently business must be booming at more Morenos that they can afford to treat patrons of their establishment so poorly. The food is OK at best you really go there for the atmosphere and ambience my family for one will no longer be coming here the arrogance that the lady manager whomever this person of authority is has soured this restaurant. It makes me wonder if that's how they treat their patrons I wonder how they treat their employees, I've dealt with arrogant owners & management before and that's usually when you see a bunch of corners cut. Morenos your in the food service industry maybe someone should explain to the mgmt that just because your picture is on the wall doesn't give you the right to talk or treat your patrons beneath you.

My husband and I picked this restaurant to have our wedding almost two weeks ago, and even though it was mother's day weekend they were AMAZING!! We took part of the patio and the service was great the waiters very attentive to details and all my guest were very pleased. They were busy but managed to help us to have a great wedding!!

My husband and I are very happy that we celebrated our wedding at your restaurant!!
See you soon!

Last night we ordered take out from Moreno's. They have really taken the time and added measures to create a safe environment for pick up. You enter via one door, pay, move to a different station where your order is reviewed and exit through another door. No chance to walk by anyone else. They wore masks and gloves the whole time. I must say the food was delicious, even better than the last time we were there. If you get the chance order take out from Moreno's. My favorite Mexican restaurant and I want them to be there when we get the all clear!

I have heard about how good this place was and was really looking forward to a great meal, but yuk!!! I ordered a ground beef enchilada and a chilie relleno and it was so dry I emptied the whole bowl of salsa on them for sauce. Scratch this place off of places to eat.

I brought the missus here for post-Valentine's dinner and sad to say the place is over rated. We were greeted and asked to wait in a little corner on the second floor, ordered cocktails and whisky which was more than I've paid at other fine dining areas.

This place is amazing!!!! The food was so flavorful and just so delicious. The servers were so attentive and kind but yet gave us space also. The drinks remained filled and was constAntly one step ahead to our needs. I had a bloody mary to and it was sooo good. The patio seating was beautiful and i bet at night its gorgeoud

Heads up to those who are vegetarian or have dietary restrictions:
This place cooks everything with lard, including things you wouldn't expect like the chips, the rice and the churros. They are very open about it and were really understanding when we left before ordering, but definitely not a place for those with restrictions.

Beautiful setting in old El Modena. I was there for my 50th high school reunion. The staff was attentive and the food was great. This is an outdoor setting under canopies, with beautiful flowers and paths. It has the old California feel. Parking in front and back.
On a personal note, this was my be home church as a child and teenager. I appreciate that the Moreno family has preserved it so beautifully. I honor them for their respect to their building's history as well as the old California heritage they maintain.
It was good to come home!

Two of the waiters compulsively whistle. I think father and son. Amazing place and good food. But invading everyone's conversation with birdwhistles isnt cute or endearing. It's not musical either. Just random noise.
