Good location and nicely designed rooms. On the downside, our room window faced a wall with no access to daylight, and the AC made a terrible noise every time it went on even at night.

Should I say this hotel is gradual, or should I say that I abandoned the service? When chucking in, most people, eh, here?
I guess. Check-in is mobile check-in. If you arrive earlier than the check-in time, leave your luggage. There is a place to meet on the first basement floor. The explanation is insufficient by the staff. No use of elevator. Hold the card and press the number of floors to see which elevator will come. There was no explanation for this. I don't have a concierge and there are plenty of similar price ranges so I won't choose anymore. Somewhere unknown, such as an ice box or an ice machine. But the mobile counter is always full. I didn't choose the hotel in this place to spend my time ...
Disappointing. As the phone operator at the front desk said"most people dont realize this is a limited service hotel". Ice? Go to the bar downstairs. Clean room? Housekeeping goes home at 6...
Very new and lives up to Moxy style and beyond. Great location for walk to Penn Station. Also, please purchase a larger internet access service. Best I've gotten in three stays is measured here. 3 to 5 mbps.
It's my first time here. It is an interesting hotel, rooms are small, everything is so compressed.if you don't require too much this hotel can be good for you, not for kids tho. No fridge, and no ice bucket, you have to go down to the basement.
Hotel was very clean and centrally located in NYC. It was decorated very modern and fun. We were only staying 1 night so it was perfect for us. However, I think any stay over 2 nights might get a little crammed. Overall, be a good value and we would return.
Having spent many nights in NY hotels, by far this has been my favorite. The design is beautiful, 2nd floor lounge is unique and separated enough to hang out at the bar or work semi secluded. It was the perfect location to meet friends without having to bring them into my room. The staff was amazing - Ro at the front check in was very patient with me as I had just come in from a delayed trip and ice pellets pinging my head outside. I felt like a disaster yet he was patient with me and turned my entire Vibe around. The rooms are small (I m used to that in NY hotels) however designed in a way that utilizes the space very well. Wifi connection was seamless and rooms were spotless. I will absolutely be back!
I chose the Moxy NYC Times Square Hotel for a much-needed staycation and new job celebration. For starters, our check-in experience was super easy, as the hotel staff was friendly and helpful without being overbearing. The modern look and feel of the lobby was a nice touch and a fun vibe - especially in contrast to the hustle & bustle of Midtown. On that note, getting to the hotel was super convenient by train and the area was surprisingly quiet, given its proximity to Times Square / Penn Station.
I really enjoyed the room design - especially the huge bathroom. The amazing rainfall shower were exactly the touch I was looking for on my staycation. Wish I had one at home! The room's layout was cozy & efficient, which I didn't mind as the bedroom area was just as large as the bathroom. One downside is that I would've liked a guest robe in the room.
My favorite part was definitely the hotel's many bar and restaurant spaces. Magic Hour (rooftop bar) was so much fun (love the amusement-style decor) and the food / drinks selection were perfect for grabbing drinks with friends. Even better was grabbing breakfast sandwiches at Egghead the following morning. Honestly the food options were so good, that I'd definitely return while in the area.
Very fun energetic hotel for young singe people. Everything was great except for the staff. Front desk people show no emotion except misery and boredom. The desk lady gave us 2 tokens for 2 free cocktails. That's all she said so when we ordered our drinks later those tokens are only for a specific drink that she did not mention which we got after paying $32 for the first 2 that we thought would be free but weren't. Also the free drink is DISGUSTING yuck.
Another person I disliked was this one security guy who kept watching and bugging us... he literally had nothing better to do standing there so he kept bothering us asking us to move aside when we talking with the bartender who allowed us to be there... most of the staff are miserable but the place is very cute.
Really good place, friendly staff, Fantastic DJ
Overall we had an excellent evening
Everything was great, only downside was how busy they were
100% recommended ... would repeat if I came back..my experience was excellent
People were very friendly, but it's a very noisy hotel, because of the loud music and parties held there. Also the rooms are very very small. Good room if your are single, for a couple like us, very small.
Roof top bar is covered by tent. Hvac units not large enough To provide cool air for the enclosed area.
Superb. If not a little noise. Great for a party hotel and one of the best at this price point you will find innyhe city!
The pros are the location, the cleanliness and the design. The cons were little to no customer service (except the people who checked the luggage-they were friendly). The elevator technology was a nuisance at times, it appeared a lot of guests struggled with it. The rooms are cool but if you are in a new relationship the toilet area is not very private so keep that in mind if you re modest.
My new favorite hotel in NYC. Affordable, nice rooms, good food at the breakfast buffet.
While the room was clean and modern, it was only useful for sleeping.
There was no seating in the room, meaning that if you want to get work done you need to go to the loud common area on the second floor. The television is at an awkward angle and you have to sit perpendicularly on one of the beds to watch - not comfortable.
In addition, there is a popular rooftop club at the top of the building. The music from the club streams into the room until very late at night. The hotel provides ear plugs in the room but I would really prefer a room where you don't need ear plugs to sleep.
Finally, the room has very little storage space for your clothes, so be prepared to live out of your suitcase while there.
Very trendy and hip hotel, fabulous lobby and common areas.. Rooms are a bit small but still have everything you could need packed smartly inside a very tastefully decorated space.
I was completely satisfied. Great people who work at the reception. Rooms are small, but very nice and clean. Hotel smells incredibly good, even in front of the door you are greeted by the great smell. Always my pleasure :)
The Moxy has moxy ! GREAT STAFF, yummy breakfast and a really cool setup overall. Its a very transient area once you step outside, but the property itself is cool. Rooms are small overall, but if you travel alone then you'll be okay.
Hotel is located within walking distance of Times Square. Hotel staff were very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly! The rooms are considerably smaller than a traditional hotel room, but are very modern and very stylishl! The bed was very comfortable, and there is no other furniture than that. Bathroom is very close to the sleeping area, and the walls are like frosted glass. If you are rooming with someone, be prepared to be very comfortable with each other! 4/5 stars, since we did find some trash in the room left by the previous guests.
An absolute must stay while in NYC. New and funky fresh. Please make sure you listen to bedtime story #3 a rousing example of humanity at it's finest. Please check out Chris who'll check you in with pride. Also enjoy the creamest eggs with smoky bacon served by Aspen! Can't wait to come back!
Super small rooms, uncomfortable, it is like a hallway, it has no refrigerator, can not place the TV next to the bed and the air conditioning on the head. The bathroom is good, the bar too, that is not enough.
The man who runs the terrace elevator is very rude, he does not respect the floor you are staying and forces you to descend on the ground floor.
Great boutique hotel with minimalistic style. Good location and very friendly staff.
Super litt spot I'll crash and party there any time!! Loved it.
Great hotel for young people. It has a superb location within walking distance of Times Square. The staff very courteous. The rooms are of good size and very well equipped, the shower is very good. The WiFi is insanely fast and the TV has streaming services and casting capabilities.
It is a small room, but it is stylish and beautiful
Smaller rooms (that's fine!) Cozy eclectic feel, clean, good restaurant and bar, comfy common areas, and inexpensive! We loved it!
Great hotel , incredible staff and very good location.
Not the usual hotel room. Great location. Very clean.
very convenient I stood at the hotel then went down for dinner portions were a little small but the taste was excellent
Great little spot!
Pros: Great location (if you want to be near Times Square or Penn/MSG), comfortable room, friendly staff, and good rates.
Cons: Very small rooms (still comfortable), weird elevators, small gym, so so restaurant, and not a lot of quiet.
If you re looking for a good location and are a solo traveler or seasoned couple, great. If you re looking to relax and get away from it, this isn t your place.
Great value, great location, very modern efficient design. Love this place.
I had the second worst hotel stay ever in this hotel. The staff was unbelievably unhelpful and the elevators would not even work half the time. The room was awesome but good luck finding your room.
Great atmosphere and location. Rooms and hall a bit small.
Cool vibes but the elevator system is Very inefficient. Rooms are small and minimal, and pricy.
At night, it's loud AF. They need to invest in better double windows.
If you're coming to NY for work, don't stay at the Moxy. Go to Four Points if you want to relax.
Location is good though - there's ktown not too far and all the main tourist stuff nearby.
The room was clean and the check-in/out was quick and easy. Walls and floors are not very soundproof so you may hear loud neighbours stomping around.
Roof top bar - Magic Hour. Loved it! Clever amusement park themed, but adult. Open roof on nice night.
DO NOT STAY HERE. THEY ARE THIEVES. They went through me and my friends bags when we were not there and stole our belongings. TERRIBLE.
The rooms are nice and we'll decorated. The staff is friendly, helpful, and greets you Everytime you enter the building. The only downside is that the fitness center is still under construction.
Cool rooftop bar with an amazing view of Empire state. Mostly a younger crowd.
Do not stay here if your looking to be in the room for a long period of time. Its very small and the windows are just as limited. Staff was incredible everything was wonderful as long as you realize the size of the room.
Nice hotel, very clean rooms, polite staff and fabulous design. Traveling from Russia to Texas, it's very convenient to stay for layover or 2-3 nights there.
The hotel is great, and so is the lounge on the 2nd floor. Do not go to the rooftop bar alone. You will feel welcomed unless you are with a group. The wait staff needed to have 2 different servers ask for someone to take the time take my order. The waitress passed me by 3 separate times and could not even acknowledge my existence. It will be reflected in the tip, if there is one!
We did a staycation at the Times Square Moxy this weekend. Super easy checkin with the hotel staff, loved the jars of candy in the lobby! Such a beautiful design in my room and throughout the hotel; wish my home looked as chic. Beds were super comfortable and the shower was AMAZING. My room didn t have a great view of the City, but I guess that didn t matter so much since I was out and about. Extremely convenient location like a 2 min walk to all the subway lines. But the best part was definitely the many bar and restaurant spaces. Did happy hour at the awesome lobby bar (Bar Moxy?) then met some friends at the rooftop bar the Magic Hour. Loved it. So cool. Had a very fun night, so definitely loved/needed the sandwiches the next AM at Egghead. Really delicious. Cannot stress how many cool options for food/drinking in this hotel. Would definitely return!
Excellent hotel superbly located just 2 minutes walk from Penn Station, 5 minutes from Times Square, 5 minutes from Broadway and 5th Avenue. Great service, spacious and comfortable room, very clean. We had a great stay!
Very good location, small rooms, no closet but very modern and clean
Location is central to Times square. Great for local walking distances. Rooms are very compact not really suitable if you are unable to crawl on and off the bed as the bed is jammed inbetween 2 walls can only get on it from the base. In a plus shower was great. Attached restaurant Legasea ..Amazing food that could be 5 *.
Great for work meetings. I love this place all around. Staying at the one in Budapest soon.
Room is a little small but the location cannot be better. Love the modern interior design and the bar. Everything's so chilled.
So, I really wanted to like this hotel. I checked in here once when I came up for a business meeting. I reserved a suite, and it was not ready by 5pm despite me calling in and receiving confirmation by the receptionist that he would More
We loved our stay. Hotel is so different from anything else I've stayed in. Slight problem with self service checkin but staff were on hand to rectify this in no time & were friendly & helpful throughout our stay.
Room was clean and tidy and the service in both bars was good and prompt too.
Next time we're in NYC we'll be looking to stay here again for sure!
It was absolutely amazing and modern. The bar on the rooftop was amazing. Our room was small however very clean and modern as well.
Great hotel with tons of charm. The rooms are very nice and modern with crazy cool features. The shower is awesome with great finishing work. Rooms are small but very functional because you don't spend much time in your NYC hotel anyways. Recommended for those people who love to explore. Families might have a hard time here with the space in the rooms. However, if you use the room as it was meant there is plenty of space underneath the beds that have storage options with pull out drawers. The bar is cool with a younger vibe and DJ spinning. Staff was great and attentive. I will definitely be back.
We have spent some very pleasant days at the hotel. The receptionists treated us with kindness and explained the operation of the facilities. The room was clean and very cozy. Breakfast is plentiful and varied. The 'doorman' was extremely kind and helpful to us: he helped us with the vehicle to get back to the airport.
Clean, value priced. Rooms too small and cramped to really be comfortable. Have to turn sideways to pass your partner in front of the vanity in transit from bathroom to bed.
Tiny tiny rooms better for the millenial crowd...definitely not a business oriented hotel and severely lacking in services. It's a "self-service" hotel by which they mean "no-service"
We have stayed here for 5 nights. Really excellent rooms, very modern and very clean. Comfy bed, great shower and staff are always happy to help. Also great location to sightsee.
Modern hotel with what I believe are typical room sizes for this part of NYC ( really small). Overall a very nice clean hotel with free WiFi and cool tech features such as being able to 'cast' YouTube from your smartphone to the in room flat screen TV. Breakfast is not included but there is a place called Eggheads next door that has good breakfast sandwiches and salads for around $10.
Moxy Hotel great place to chill and have drinks in the of Times Square NYC.
Roof top with a DJ
We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights from December 21-27.
First of all it is very well located just 500m from the center of times square.
Hyper animated district where you will have no trouble for eating, shopping, attractions (Mme tussaud 300m, empire state building 700m etc ....) metro station at 200m.
If this is your first trip to New York, I recommend that you take a pass (we had the NY City pass). You can choose the number of days, the number of attractions you want. It is much cheaper and it is a well-established system.
The hotel itself is top notch. Young and dynamic atmosphere while being hyper design and cocooning. The rooms are not huge, but large enough to feel comfortable in.
We had a standard room with a view facing .... a wall two meters in front. But that was not really a problem, because you just have to leave the hotel to be amazed.
The staff are charming and very responsive. We had a problem with a blocked toilet. Problem reported at 9 p.m. and repaired at 10 p.m.!
We were on the 9th floor and apart from the sound of sometimes horns or sirens we were not bothered by the noise.
To summarize a very good address to remember we will come back to it without hesitation.
Thank you Moxy !!!!!
Eh it was ok. Clean and modern but almost too minimalistic, no closets to properly hang business clothes and a super small room. Also our room smelled like weed but it s a decent place.also it was too far from the main attractions at time square for me.
absolutely loved my room. perfect size for a minimalist. the shower was fab. dinner at Legasea was great.
Great place for a drink and some food or to get some work done (lots of power outlets) or both!
Very nice design. Ate at the seafood restaurant downstairs and really enjoyed it.
I was in town for work and stayed at the Moxy. My room was on the 17th floor. The AC broke on the first night and they fixed it quick. Great stay overall.
