We had a broken water heater. The technician came out to our house within hours. We talked about tankless vs. tank heaters. He seemed very knowledgeable and helpful with letting us know what would be needed for each type. We ended up going a little different way and buying a heater online. They were available for installation. They were great!!! Had an appointment time the following day, were on time, efficient and did a wonderful job. They had helpful inform to share and were not pushy. We will be back for any plumbing needs!
So, it's a Saturday, and my kitchen sink decided to bring water from the depths back to me without it even running. No good. Well, we waited until after 8pm to call a plumber thinking it'd have to wait until Monday anyways. NOT SO! Monona plumbing was super easy to get a hold of, and they were here within the hour as their guy wasn't too far away. The plumber seemed knowledgeable, and he had it fixed quickly WITHOUT WAKING MY SLEEPING 1yo. Huge bonus. Will definitely call in the future.

After our epic flood Monona Plumbing & Fire Protection service came out to replace our drowned water heater and clean out our drain. Superb service from their front desk to their technicians. Highly recommend their services.
I have a leakage problem in the basement and the company sent a gentlemen by the name of Mike to fix the problem. He was very prompt and when looking at the leak he found that the problem was with the toilet in the first floor apartment. He removed the toilet and fixed the problem and replaced all the necessary plumbing issues that arose. Make sure that there was not leakage before he left and cleaned up the area. He was very thorough, friendship, helpful and explained what he was doing at all times and answered any questions I had. I found him to be a very good technician and very knowledge. I would recommend him for any plumbing work that needs to be done.
We have been using Monona Plumbing for years. Their customer service is excellent and their quality of work is superb! If you need plumbing work, call them. Also, their cost is reasonable!!!!
We have never needed a plumber before until our basement sink started spraying water out of one of the faucet heads. I called the emergency line as it was the weekend and spoke to the plumber on call and he gave a recommendation over the phone that fixed the problem and saved us from needing to spend 100 s of dollars to get someone out to our house. A company that is willing to help over the phone is one I will recommend to others always!

Fast and timely service with courteous technicians! Luke was sent to fix our leaking toilet, and was very nice about letting me watch over his shoulder, since I was curious about what was wrong. He pointed out the various parts he was replacing and why, tidied up after he was done, and then after that, assisted us in identifying the main shutoff valve (which wasn't where we expected) and helped us diagnose and fix a separate problem with our water heater! We have only recently moved into this house so all of this was super helpful!
There was no hot water this morning, so Matt and Seth came out and were able to install a hot water heater the same day. Impressive! They provided very friendly and competent service. We have used this company for plumbing services for years and will continue to do so.
When my stone age water heater failed, they were great over the phone, and made the process smooth and easy. I'm now sitting happy with a tank-less water heater. Probably couldn't have done it myself, and would have ended up costing as much if not more. Very happy with their service. Hopefully i don't have to replace it again, but if i do I will turn to them.
They were able to come very quickly and early in the morning, which was important to me. The gentleman who showed up was kind, knowledgable, and efficient. He made sure that I was 100% satisfied and even stayed an extra 5 or so minutes to answer questions I had about future work. I would hire him, specifically, again in a heart beat!!
Every single one of these reviews have got to be fake. This business will scam you.
They offer "free estimates". I called them after my house was flooded. They scheduled an appointment without any mention of price - I made the mistake of assuming they were going to give me an estimate before charging me. The technician showed up and I told him what I thought was wrong with it (I was correct, but I wanted to be sure before I purchased the part to replace it). He pulled out a replacement piece, a little piece of plastic that costs $15 online. He'd opened the bag before I could even ask - he never gave any kind of estimate. I just let him work, he turned the hot water heater on, and said that it was good to go. I was never told a dollar amount for the less than five minute visit to replace the part I could have replaced myself. I then asked him how much the piece cost and he said he didn't know - I was honestly still waiting for my free estimate.
I just got a bill for $261.20. That's $124 for the five minute visit, $124 for the little piece of plastic, and the rest tax. This was a total scam.
Also, the piece they replaced is notorious for malfunctioning when wet. I now know I could have just blow dried it. They took the original piece though, possibly to pawn off on the next guy.

After talking with them over the phone, they agreed to reduce the price by $60. That being said, when I asked why they charged so much for the little piece of plastic, they said the high cost was due to the 'labor' of putting it in. I asked what the $124 for the visit was, and they said that was 'labor'. So apparently the first thirty minutes of labor they charge is different from the additional labor they will charge you for actually doing any work. I'm not sure how that works out.
The fact that their technician took the piece that was removed instead of letting me keep it as a backup (or more likely, use it once it got dry so that I could give them their overpriced piece back) is still extremely sketchy.
Good work, nice people, they show up quickly. Not the most efficient and obscene prices.

We've worked with Monona Plumbing and Fire for a bathroom remodel and an issue with an outdoor gas line. All of our interactions with Monona PFP have been excellent. Highly recommend in all aspects, especially the prompt, thorough service.
Very poor service. First of all the plumber who came to my place to fix a leak, broke something else. He waited for an hour to get that part and charge me for all the time, even though he had broken that part. When I call them to pay my bill they were very rude over the phone as well. Unbelievable, poor customer care service. I suggest using different plumbing companies.
Later, I worked with Avid plumbing for a different issue and they were just amazing. Avid plumbing had very reasonable price and very professional staff, compare to Monona plumbing.

Monona Plumbing came to fix poor drainage in two of our sinks.Matt was very efficient and did an excellent job in explaining his process. He also informed me what should or shouldn't go into a garbage disposal. Stay away from egg shells and coffee grounds!
When our sump pump died at 11pm on Sunday Monona Plumbing and Fire Protection were able to respond quickly. They were upfront about the surge charge for overnight Sunday work. I appreciated their transparency and we used them despite the additional cost, MPFP probably saved us an extra inch of water damage. Later we needed a gas line installed. MPFP gave a reasonable estimate and completed the work on time and on budget.

I looked into a couple other plumbers during a recent upgrade for my kitchen (faucet, disposal, filter, dishwasher, and plumbing for new sink). I very much appreciated the friendly, professional service from MPFP. From getting an estimate to the final installation, they were always responsive and knowledgable. The installer went above and beyond in getting a proper fit for my dishwasher under a new countertop, which would have cost me hours and $$ to have done otherwise. Thank you so much to the team at MPFP. I have already, and will continue, to recommend you to others, and will certainly be back for any future plumbing needs.
Well I called these guys on a Saturday night and they paged Cody, who was on another job nearby. From calling and having Cody show up was about 15 minutes. It was amazing how fast he came on a Saturday night. I had a great experience. A+++
They are excellent if you need someone on short notice and don't mind paying a premium for getting the job done fast. For more routine work, they seem over-priced to me. For example, I did not expect a bill of $500 to replace a laundry room faucet. They charge about 250% of retail for the parts (based on looking up the parts they used on the internet and comparing with the price they charged) and $250 for the labor was also a bit high for this job on a non-emergency basis. That said, they were very courteous and I don't expect to have any trouble with that faucet.
Multiple times we've called Monona Plumbing this year under different types of circumstances. Every single time they've showed up quickly, were very professional, and completed the jobs perfectly. Wish all service providers were like them. I recommend Monona Plumbing 100%.

VERY POSITIVE EXPERIENCE! They showed up right now time and called to verify someone would be home. I even had two people call to verify they were on the way so I knew they were on it to get someone to help us. Luke was GREAT! He spent time figuring out our problem and walked me through what he found. He was even nice enough to show me where our main water shut off valve is. USE SOMEONE ELSE!! if I could give negative stars I would! My water heater was leaking, I called and was quoted 1k to replace with identical model. Next morning a servicemen was sitting in my drive for over an hour, waiting for a second truck to arrive with the new water heater. It took 3 guys another hour to install the new one. They were told to leave the old one, but they stole it. I was sent a bill for $1900, and it wasnt itemized. So I have no idea how much I am paying someone to sit in my driveway because they didnt come prepared. I spoke with Kevin about making payments, and it was "all okay", but a week after the conversation they filed a lien on me. ontop of it being during a pandemic, with people being out of work, struggling and agreeing to make payment. How shameful and unprofessional. Now I cant even get a return phone call. EVERYONE be wary.
Yesterday morning we had a pipe burst and flood our basement with water. Luke was extremely responsive to our emergency call and had our leak identified and fixed inside an hour. He was a pleasure to work with and I would recommend his services and Monona Plumbing without reservation.

Hot water heater was blowing fuses a lot. Technician went above and beyond to find out what was causing it. Turned out to be an electrical issue. I appreciated his honesty and trying to help diagnose the issue.
Plugged kitchen drain in third floor condo. Service man arrived within a couple hours. He was very courteous and promptly had the plugged line free. He also replace an aging garbage disposer that was rusting through.

I needed a water softener swapped out and some other work in our bathroom for a small remodel we did. A guy came out to quote it the next day and the price was fair. During the project, the plumber ran into an issue where he needed some extra parts. I appreciated the fact that he had them on hand in his truck, and didn't charge me for them. They came in right at their quote, even with the extra work. Very professional professional.
Background: My drainage backed up into my tub and toilet. I do have tree roots in the drainage line.
The immediate drainage issue was taken care of, but I felt the experience was a bit more frustrating than I would've liked to expect. To be fair, my 1950s era house with all the 1950s plumbing quirks was most certainly the main instigator (not only with the backed up drainage line, but also with the frustrating experience with the service I received).
After four weeks, I started having issues again. With the two days and several hours worked on my drainage line, I would also liked to have expected more answers into what exactly my issues are.

We have now used Monona Plumbing twice, once in a plumbing-emergency (broken shower pipe) situation and once to install a new sink and faucet which included completely redoing the previous drain setup.
