At Mongo's you really can have it your way - you choose exactly what you want to be grilled for you.
An a series of buffet-style stations, you choose your veggies, noodles, proteins, and sauces. There are printed suggested combinations available if you don't trust your culinary instincts.
You take your piled-high bowl to the grill and they sautee it for you. That's pretty fresh.
Service is decent and friendly. Beer and wine is available.
Mongo's is a nice change of pace from your usual dining out experience and an easy way to get a healthful meal.

This is my families favorite place to eat out. The staff is both efficient and entertaining. My only gripe is that there is always a crowd. Not surprising at all, just mildly annoying for someone who dislikes crowds.

Lots of vegan options - a bit of cross contamination with non vegan foods is likely, so be aware of that in advance; that said, I'm sure the very friendly staff will make any reasonable accommodations you might request. Delicious eats!

Second time I have been there and I still don't know what to pick for like sauces. I didn't like it the first time and I didn't like it the second time. I don't know what goes with what flavor so I made bad choices both times. I ordered salad with my meal the second time otherwise I would have walked away hungry.

Best described as an Applebee's trying to be a Mongolian grill. The food does taste good and the experience is pretty interesting. Unfortunately the cooks seem very lethargic (probably because the manager hovers over them) and the food left me still hungry after having a portion size that should not have done so. The idea of mongos is great but if you can, I recommend a place called kahns. It's further away but has none of the issues present here

Mongo' s has really good food. What makes it so good is that you pick your own ingredients buffet style, then they grill it for you. I will return here in the future, just wish they had one closer to the twin cities.

I really liked my meal! All the food options were a little intimidating at first but fun to build your own meal. The staff were friendly and entertaining. Tip: come early if your there for lunch. We arrived at 11:30 and we breezed right in and had only a brief wait at the cooks station. By 12:30 it was packed and lots of waiting. Enjoy!

For my taste, it's too loud, and I hate putting my own food together. I suppose next time I could recreate what I ate but it's kind of doubtful. The price actually was not that bad. It's kind of like Old Country Buffet for people that might like some healthy vegetables. In any case, I don't think I'd frequent it a lot just because it's so loud.

This was my first visit at Mongos. I have been to many different Mongolian grills, so that is where I developed my expectations and comparisons. First I felt that the lunch prices were much too high. The waitress spoke too fast in explaining the process and options which caused some confusion when we got up to the grill and they offered things like tortillas, eggs and cheese sauce. The amount of buffet options were great. I liked that there wasn't just a noodle option for the grill. The fried rice was terrible.

Mongos gas great food at a reasonable price. I always get more food than I can eat and take the rest home. They can get very busy. I recommend going at the off times (right when they open or between 2-5 or after 7:30).
