Very good place, a lot of Van Gogh's works, basically do not understand, every Friday from 4 to 8 pm free, a good choice on Friday night. When I first went, Liu and his classmates were trapped in flushing. . .
You can spend a lot of time there, this store has very good ideas to buy
a great combination of the cool and the practical. always a treat to visit.
A must go when just to have a look and probably buy something if your looking for new home decorations.
Loved this place. Lots of quirky and unique items. Unfortunately, most items that I liked were a little too expensive for gift giving. However, having said that, I did find many items that were affordable to give as stocking stuffers.
The staff here went well out of their way to make sure I found what I was looking for. Answered every question, let me take my time with my product search, and checked on me multiple times to make sure I didn't have any questions. Really great experience and glad I came here.
One of my favorite museums in NYC. No place like MOMA if you're a fan of pop art.
A lot of interesting doodads. Worth checking out after a visit to MoMA.
Museum gift shops give me more joy than they really should.
Nice store, there is always something to buy when we visit here.
You can find many souvenirs ad hoc. The bad one: it gets crowded some times.
Well worth a visit. One of the great museums of NYC. The Museum Store has great unique one-of-a-kind items. Great for gift giving.
Nice museum It was at work. Recommendation: Fridays starting at 5:30 p.m. Admission is free.
Great selection and variety selling for prices only some well to do New Yorkers and tourists are willing to shell out.
Loved this shop, many innovative and stylish products.
Ia collection of overpriced brickabrac. Some nice ideas, others not so much
I could shop here ALL DAY!!! So many fun and amazing items to play with!!
such amazing stuff to buy. deff worth if you dont go in the actual museum.
Great place to get unusual gifts -- but the Museum is the place to be. Art is good for the soul
Love all the design pieces sold! Great for a different and stylish giftq
This store is an initiative of the moma to gather objects of good design. This has been going on for dozens of years. You can find aesthetic and functional articles. It is a must of NY after visiting the museum.
They had a moon lamp for $60 that you can get for $7 at primeark still cool shop tho
I would buy everything here if I could! Full of quirky fun, well-designrd everyday items. I just wish things here weren't so expensive!
A store, that you will inspire you to spend money because all the you see is sooooo Beautiful!!
The MoMA Design Store is a delight. Great for gifts or to find something unique for yourself. I particularly like their holiday card sets, and always pick mine up there. The store has quite a selection of funky and fresh items that strike a contemporary style.
The best museum Store I went to! All products with a lot of design, hooks and super originals at reasonable prices!
It's worth the visit to the Store regardless of whether you are going to the museum or not!
Years ago the articles were more attractive. However, it always remains a singular place.
Certainly one of the most beautiful museums in the world. It is impressive first of all for the spaces and the great quantity of works preserved here. An entire American villa with wonderful furnishings. Pictures among the most famous in the world, unmissable! To optimize the time, I suggest taking advantage of the day when the museum has an opening in the evening.
I can get lost here for hours. So many interesting things to take home, or to pick up as a gift. Love all of the modern art inspired gifts here!
A huge selection of copy objects in the museum that are prohibitive for some.
Interesting museum, love to see Van Gogh painting, starry nite
I was expecting furniture and more decoration for the house
Great place to find unexpected gifts. I love the housewares they have, so many of them are cleverly design and make you ask "why didn't anyone ever think of this before?" The book selection here is diverse and extensive. They have a lot of fun and interactive kid's items. Some of the items are astronomically expensive, but there's a lot of affordable things mixed in there.
I was here in 2018 in April and my experience has been more than positive. Kind to the cashier with tourists.
If you plan to shop at the MOMA design store, BEWARE. The products are great, but the online service is truly awful.
This is my sad experience :
I ordered Xmas gifts for the family on Nov 17th 2017, and selected priority shipping . Despite my repeated online requests, I received no updates on shipping status for 20days (tracking function was not working either). Finally, they deigned to inform
me that my delivery would not arrive till MARCH 2018 (!) because 2 items were not available till then and the shipment had to be sent in one go!
Huh? Whatever happened to flexibility and common sense in the modern age? So my kids would receive Xmas gifts 3 months late!
The shipper claimed the website warned about the 2 back order items (if they had, I did not notice).
And anyway, why sell back order stuff?
Why not place a warning at the cash-out site, your delivery may only arrive in 4 MONTHS TIME ?
Why accept money when you are out of stock?
Why provide a priority shipping function, when you are not able to deliver it?
So I asked whether they could send the available items first and I pay the extra, they have ignored me.
So if you plan to use this website, BEWARE.. else you may also - as I did - suffer disappointment, poor communication, and worst of all, unacceptable delay.
Never in my life have I seen such poor customer service from any vendor let alone an established store. I spent 3+ weeks chasing these guys asking why my order didn't shipped (even tho it said "in stock & ready to ship") after failing to answer ANY of my roughly 7-10 emails I decided to call them, needless to say I spent almost 40 mins waiting for someone to pick up through the "customer service" option. Finally someone picked up once I called a "vendor" option and after explaining them the situation the woman that answered told me that customer service would contact me within 24 hours. That didin't happened. And after basically spamming their Instagram feed for someone to tell me anything about my order they finally replied my DMs,saying it was "top priority" and that customer service was notified and should contact me in no time. That didn't happened neither.
Just found out my order was cancelled and still nobody can tell me what happened since I got my order number and everything seemed fined.
I would highly advice to anyone thinking in buying anything from them to think it twice online unless you want to chase them around for some time all for in the end getting absolute nothing but your time taken away from you...
This store has done very interesting looking items and designs, it's fun just to go in and look at what they have in here!
A whole lot of interesting and fun home+lifestyle items with artistic twists. A star taken back for certain easily available online items being resold at a 50%+ mark up
A great place to buy design and function or just a gift
Excellent selection and variety of design products.
A trip to NYC is not complete without a visit to MOMA and a stop in the Design Store.
There are a lot of interesting things to see. Very cool designs with photography themes. Books there are incredibly easy to read. IT is good for souvenirs and art books. You can get MOma related books and toys for kids.
One of my favorite stores to browse for gifts and nifty tools around the house. The selection rotates regularly with interesting, new products regularly. A little less selection than the SoHo location, but convenient if you work in midtown.
This store has such unique and practical items, even if you just go there to look, it's like a design museum in and of itself. Super crowded, though.
A shop different from the souvenir shop. You can buy MOMA related goods. There are also in Japan.
The MOMA design store is 100% better than your typical museum gift shop. With a collaboration with the students of the MFA Products of Design program the products here are beautiful, fun and innovatively made. If you ever need to buy a gift for a offbeat relative or friend and are in NYC this is the shop to go. Also try to visit the downtown location as it's the larger sister store with more selection.
Best place to buy souvenirs... better than the normal gift shops!
Lots of cool things to explore, you'll want to take everything home. Easy to spend a lot of money here.
Very interesting products and trendy streetwear. Found the kaws companion sitting in the store!
I did not even know how much time was spent watching so many works. There are good descriptions in many national languages and some can be explained with audio guides. Audio for kids is also good.
The most curious and interesting art and design objects
Best of class. Design store has some great rare collection.
Variety of interesting designs! Prices are quite high. As a student traveling with my own savings, I wished they have more small gifts with affordable price. I found some of those, but they were very limited.
Nice store. But lack of products that are created by artists. Some if the items you could order via Amazon. LOL.
