The BEST place to get fried green tomatoes! I went there with my family and on the outside it looks like your average restaurant, but when you go inside you're surround by huge paintings on the wall. When you go inside you can seat yourself. It's a great place. :)

As usual the food was great, best pulled pork quesidas!! Banana pudding was the real deal. The bananas were sliced and an ample amount was in the pudding. Nothing like some other BBQ places where you have 2 or 3 small banana chucks in the pudding Mojo's is hard to beat!

Love the food at this location and have ordered for my office. So I decided to use them to cater a party for the holidays for 150 people. I got in touch with the lady who does catering and gave her the details of the event. After the call I never received an invoice; i waited 2 days and called but nothing. Sent emails, but nothing. Finally got someone on the phone who said the lady i spoke with before I worked with was at an event. She took my info and would pass it on to her. Never heard anything. Sent one last email over a month ago, but never heard back. I'll still go and eat there, but i'll never choose them for catering in the future.

Absolutely one of my favorite bbq restaurants. Ordered the burnt ends to start off with and they just melt in your mouth they are so delicious. For my meal I got the sloppy mojo and fries which were outstanding. The food came out quickly and the our waitress was extremely nice and helpful. I wish there were more than five stars on here because they are so good! Totally worth the money.

When we moved to Jacksonville we were shocked to find this Mojo's location. My in-laws live in Saint Augustine and when we lived in Fort Lauderdale FL we would drive up on Friday's just to get the burnt ends (and say hello to the in-laws, of course). I am not joking. Imagine our surprise and elation when we find this location a few miles from the house we bought?! It felt like it was written in the stars and the universe unfolding as it should.

I eat here a lot... and I am never disappointed. I love everything that tried but I always recommend this location and the salmon salad. I eat here so much that when I call in my order, they call me by name & usually confirm if I'm just getting regular. Great place to dine for business or pleasure. It has a blues & rustic feel to it. Large enough to accommodate small or large parties. Food is really good and staff is soooo friendly. Best salads and ever!!! The bbq is a must...and everything else that I tried was soo good.

Everything great, the parking, the ambiance, the service, and the Louis Style ribs. Smoked and very TENDER. 1star better than its sister store MOJO #4. BUT BOTH ARE WORTH RETURN TRIPS.

Oh and the platter served 4 of us! 5 's for MoJos!!!

Crowded pickup counter. Takeout order was missing items. Chicken and turkey were moist but flavorless. Great portion size Strange, chunky bbq sauce. Cold, low quality sides. Good banana pudding.

This place is awesome. Great service with people into the art of BBQ. Easily worthy of recognition from casual foodies to full blown enthusiasts. Vegetarians beware, this is the kind of place that starts a lifetime love of MEAT. Jeff and Jody were great.

I went for the ribs, take out for dinner. Maybe they'd been smoked to long, if that's possible, but the meat was too soft and reminded me of lunch meat. The sides were excellent, mac and cheese and collards. They carry Cheer Wine too! I'll try lunch and update review

Party of 2 on a Friday night after work. An older crowd but the food was good. I've eaten at all 4 Jax locations. I believe this is the only location that serves potato salad. Which Is yummy.

Great atmosphere, good bbq, nice service. We had pulled pork (a bit on the dry side) and an excellent beef brisket sandwich. Food is simple but very tasty! We loved their mojo sauce. Picked the place by the rating on google map, but we ve been there just after Christmas, not many places going at full speed.

This is very good bbq .. we stopped around 8:30 on our way home from vaca .. after walking out of a SC bbq buffet 3 hrs earlier .. my husband remembered this place from another trip and I m so glad we walked out of the other place ... the burnt ends were amazing as well as the Mac and cheese and and hand cut fries .. I was almost full after eating what fell out of the sides of my brisket sandwich... the waitress was very friendly (sorry I don t remember her name), she even recommended a kids meal for me as a smaller portion .. I went for the regular meal and had leftovers... the sauces were very good also .. I found there is one a little closer to us in St Augustine and we will definitely give that one a try .. p.s. lived the blues music and decor

OMG This is the best southern barbecue I have ever put in my mouth. I highly suggest the mojo sauce. I bought a pint of it and took it home with me. You need to eat here or you'll miss out on the best place to eat in town. Great atmosphere and the staff is great!

Great BBQ! They really do everything we'll. I prefer their burnt ends but they always have an upcharge it you select those as an option. The ribs are always great. They meet have the best turkey in town. And without a doubt the best BBQ salad in town.

I love my BBQ. Im not one to claim to be a BBQ god, or that X has the best, or that dry rub is the best and wet is for losers. I do know a few things about it however.
1. Cows should not be BBQ'ed, A nugget that Texas has yet to grasp hold of.
2. Pigs should always be ordered when at a BBQ place.
3. The sauce is almost as important as the way the meat is cooked.
4. If it doesn't have a pink smoke ring then your not getting the real deal
5. The 11th testament is thou shalt not use Catsup. (who knew?)

All those being said, MoJo's passes with flying colors on each point. I have only two places that I get BBQ in Jacksonville, Bono's and MoJo's. I love the sauce and sides at Bono's more, but the meat and atmosphere at MoJo's wins every time.
You'll find Mojo's in two locations and I prefer the original to the newer Mojo's kitchen because its smaller and more personal. The portions are large here, and you can get a plate of BBQ that will feed you for three days. After a few trips to MoJo's you'll actually hear your arteries clogging and that's a good thing!
I tend to grab the sweet and tangy sauce for my pork when I go, but a lot of the people reach for their classic sauce. Both are fine but don't grab for catsup unless your putting it on fries or you might find yourself roasting in the fire along side the pork.
I give MoJo's a thumbs up because its great BBQ. They do what they do really well and you can tell the chef/owner really has a passion for blues and BBQ. I would choose Bono's over Mojo's for myself but it's a very close choice and one that depending on who's asking I might not repeat. Do yourself a favor and make sure to go to go to Mojo's!
